  1. Can you send me pics of the 280z KYB struts to johnnyddn@gmail.com? Thanks.

  2. Thanks for sharing... I just put together mine (for mock up) and they look great... Also I need to machine the clip groove, cv rebuild kits and the turbo companion flanges before I am on the road with this setup. PS make sure that you don't mix up the shims and bearing races...I did and had to redo the bearings and setup the diff. from scratch and checked the pattern. Also if you use a different driveshaft yoke...Be careful not to over tighten the nut...I would use a lot of locktight and gently tighten...Not to crush the collar inside which would be BAD... Good luck PS I look forward to the pictures
  3. I have tried to post on some of these threads about this...With NO reply. It's nice that someone else is doing this work. I build a 90 M30 R200 with a viscous unit and some 14" (356mm) shafts...Still waiting for the inside CV's and I will need adapters for the turbo z31 type outer CV's I would be interested in the shaft info. Thanks!!!
  4. Did you figure it out? Take of bands and boots off...Hold shaft with hand or vise and hit the back of the joint...And it pops off.
  5. I am doing a 73 240z swap also...Nice moving project. Let me know how that turbo works (is it chinese) and where are you getting an adapter for the Z32 transmission and what are you doing for the shifter?...I did'nt do a complete search yet...But just thought I would save hours on the computer. Thanks
  6. This is is the smokin deal...Land Rover Aluminum V-8 (AKA 1961 and up Buick 215cu.in. lots of parts and Transmission options), (2) sets of GSXR 600 TB's and MegaSquirt. You can also strokem to 300cu.in. 318 lbs.
  7. I shoulda hada V-8!!! Porsche 928GTR Holden HSV HRT 427 1968 Mercedes Benz Looks like a FORD HEMI Ford FORD - LOTUS FORD GT40 COATS?Looks like a ford distributor Audi R8 Modern F1 is 2.4 liter V8 caterham 7 caterham 7 OK...What!!! a W9 Thomas Johansson has been working toward a Master of Science degree in Engineering at the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden. Looking for an appropriate project for his thesis he decided to design and build a complete internal combustion engine from scratch to run on E85. Of course, he didn’t just build an inline 4 or V8 or anything so mundane, instead, he chose a W9 design, a nine cylinder engine with three banks of 3 cylinders each. After lots of CAD work and finite element analysis, the engine was made real. From first sketch to complete engine required 13 months. The engine is aimed at installation in a mid engined sports car where the compact dimensions and low center of gravity are advantageous. The power output is 526 hp (est) at 10,700 rpm, torque 280 foot pounds (est) at 7200 rpm and the engine is dimensioned to allow installation of a tri-turbo for a projected output of 1005 horsepower! The engine displaces 182 cubic inches and weighs 262 pounds complete with exhaust, … very impressive. Cool stuff! Hope that's not too much
  8. Do you have the N/A or the Turbo injectors? And do you already have the injectors?
  9. I don't believe that your r200 from the 280z would work because the 10mm ring bolts...you need a newer r200 with 12mm ring bolts (87-89 z's or m30's) and you will also have to swap the pinion yoke and make custom cv's to mate to the axles. I used the J30 vlsd short nose/ m30 long nose r200.
  10. Does anyone have the axle lengths for both side of the 300zxt shafts? I am ready to put my modified VLSD r200 in my 240Z and I measured (about a year ago) only one shaft...I think it was 15" but I can't remember?...I did get a pair of 14" shafts...would an inch be to much on each side or should I swap the short one to the long side and only use one of the short shafts???
  11. I am new to the forum…in the past I have built two turbo 240z and switching to a Suzuki Swift Gti turbo for awhile...Now coming back to my senses and I love Z’s and this forum...I just picked up an VG30de, harness, computer and IRS (with a R200) from a wrecked J30 with 60K miles which I was thinking of putting into a 240Z. Also will a 350Z 6 speed work with the VG30de? And do you have the spec's (length, and diameter) on the stock q45 axles (just the shaft part) and the shortened axle lengths. PS Love that GTO
