  1. Already started spending mine like crazy, so far I just bought a GReddy ProfecB Boost Controller to match my GReddy Peak-Hold Boost Gauge (thanks wanker)...and Im really leaning torwards a Megasquirt as well.. anyone around ft worth wanna help me get it set up?..that would seriously sway me into going ahead and buying it. Tax time = fun time!! single, no dependants =over 500 bucks a week tax taken out = 7k back every year woohoo
  2. JTaylor, your car...wow! Ive never seen it before..I mean ...WOW!
  3. Olderthanme, one more post and you hit the '2000 mark"..lol wow!
  4. ass. lube... "huh huh huh, yeah cool, you said 'ass. lube" huh huh huh
  5. Yeah, thanks Greg.. but these wires actually power the sending unit, thats why it was driving me nuts! I found a really good Supra website that had all kinds of GReddy-HKS etc manuals scanned and luckily they had my gauge..ultimately it was this... Red -12V (duh) Black -Ground (duh x 2) Orange -12 Volts Switched White - Night Illumination I would have guessed orange as illumination.. shows what I know. Thats the thing about buying anything used without the manuals, its gonna be a pain in the butt to get it going. I appreciate your input Greg--take care
  6. TimZ, 8 degrees???? Scheisse!!! We finally got a warm day in Tx, its 71 here.. dont mean to rub it in..lol 82turbo-- either you got a crappy mechanic or you have trueness issues with block face or head...
  7. Ive got the sender...these wires are coming from the sender. Its kinda a 3 piece affair, the little black box that senses boost, the sending unit thingy (nice technical jargon there) and finally the gauge..
  8. Cool, a vice prez. advertising his group on Hybridz.... now why dont you kick a few bucks to Hybridz to show some love?
  9. Ohh , I have so saved this one! LMMFAO! Great video... gotta show the other "engineers" at work... Im still working on getting "The Knack" to work properly though...
  10. Sweeeet Phil, I added another one to my Z's belt last night coming home down Hwy 30 in Grand Prairie after a crappy 14hr day at work.. guy in a white TSi Talon with a boost gauge on his "a pillar"... it was kinda cool watching his boost gauge jump like mine when we went for it... I dont know what he has under the hood but I used to own a TSi and for my lil' ol turbo swap to stomp him as bad as it did, kinda made me smile. He caught up, we swapped thumbs up's to each other and that was that.. pretty cool
  11. Yeah yeah!!! drop a turbo motor off in it and laugh as Civic owners try to figure out why that crappy 4 door car just wasted them.. I had an '84 Max for like a month years ago.. it wasnt bad at all.. it sucked as far as looks but was pretty damned comfy and quiet to drive!
  12. No way dude!! I just gave two 280Z's to some guy for a boost gauge (my good deed of the yr.)--lol hes probably already cruising the 77 right now! Keep looking man...
  13. I just got my hands on a used GReddy peak-hold boost gauge and despite scouring the 'net, I cant find any info on getting it wired up! Ive got a red, black, orange and white wire.. I would guess red (12v), black (ground), orange(illum)... but I wanna make sure.. I have no clue what the white wires about.. can anyone help me?
  14. Mayo, thats really cool.... my name is just simply my school and birth year..nothing spectacular!
  15. Bought my 77' turbo swap December of 06' and have drove it to work in Dallas every day feasible and some (like tonight..stupid ice) that I probably shouldnt have... nothing but tons of fun and absolutely no heat!! Ironically enough, Im having to wait for it to warm up enough to fix it!
  16. You dare dream it and finally someone makes it!! The steel wool part is what sold me!
  17. I had a friend pick me up and we drove 4 miles to get a 75' in Grand Prairie Tx, then 2 months later I drove to Kansas, OMG IT TOOK FOREVER to get there for a 77', and about a month ago I drove a whopping 15 miles to get my 77' turbo swap car.. all this in the past 6 months.. damn this sickness...lol btw the 75 and 77 are for sale on here..lol.. out with the old and boosting with the new!
  18. I bought my 77' Turbo swap from Jerry at All Z Car for 2500 bucks..... just needed a little sorting out
