Z-tard, something to keep in mind about the valspar paint is that they offer many many colors quite a nice color range if you ask me plus the hardner although the hardner says it is universal.
-
Ok Im thinking about making my own fuel rail. I need to know a couple of things. Is there an ideal internal diameter or does it matter. Also does it matter if the threads for the barbs protrude into the path of fuel flow within the rail. I hope these are not stupid questions.

Z-tard If you are going to spray, valspar makes a hardner to add to enamel paints. It adds to the gloss and durability of the paint. Might be worth looking into its only 9.95 for enough to do mix with a gallon. I am thinking for the roller method only to use half the amount required as to get partial benefit while still allowing rolling on of the paint. Valspar makes several different types of paint. The rust paint, BPS implement enamel which seems to have about the same chemical makeup but comes in more colors and then a truck a trailer enamel which is supposed to be more durable but TSC only had 4 or 5 colors of it.

I agree that that airdam would be killer on the z. I wish MSA would have gotten a little close with their type 3 airdam to the above pictures.

there are more pics of this car and it is available or was as a kit in Japan. This has been posted before with the other pictures. I dont mind the sx glass really although it stands out due to the dark tinting. I think it would look cool with the silver tinted glass. At least on the blue car.

alright lets be nice. Hey as far as designing for the market, I would highly suggest that when you get this one tuned that you make a full size version. I am sorry if I missed this but did you make a truss rod for it? I definatly agree with the marketability once fine tuned. Careful putting your ideas out for everyone to see lest they get stolen. If you get a patent pending deal going you dont have to worry about it and you dont have to actually pay the 10000 dollar patent fee upfront. Good luck and keep us posted for sure.

I can confirm that cyanide does indeed have the smell of almonds. While this struck me as funny at first, this is a very serious matter and should be regarded by anyone doing work with these types of materials. -
Hope you can get this done quick z tard I want to see what it looks like as Im thinking about doing the same color mixing trick
-
Man I wish you were not out in california I would love to try that out being a guitar player myself. It looks very marketable as well. Looks fantastic....I think a sound clip may be in order as well as information on I get to buy one!
-
hmm...In that case maybe I need to get a 9.00 harbor freight airbrush and get some of this stuff.

Hey guys just a heads up see my posts and other subsequent comments that are being added daily to the original moparts thread. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=2331682&page=0&fpart=8&vc=1

hiyashi rims any info?
ToplessZ replied to Turbo280Z's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I know alot of them are pretty desirable. Would love to see those pictures. -
Actually I do have a releavent post. What if you mounted it from the roof. Prob have to make some interesting braketry to hang from the roof frame as of course the roof would not hold it. It would be cool to reach behind your head for easy bottle access. Other possibility would be behind the pass. seat.

Hmm sorry about my non relevant posts. Mike, contact me at jaredworley @ hotmail.com just remove the spaces from the address. I can use the injectors. Anyway if you dont need the sway bar right away we can make the swap at sez and avoid shipping. If not I can go ahead and do the swap through the mail.

Hey mike sorry I don't know anything about this issue but check your pm's man I have sen't several over quite some time and you havn't been so kind as to respond. Just wanted to make sure you knew they were there.

Free Fender Flares!!! and how to do it!!!
ToplessZ replied to OlderThanMe's topic in Body Kits & Paint
looks good so far. Hey clarkspeed. how much clearence did you add over stock? -
been discussed so use that good ole search function and you will find alot of great info plus some possible affordable alternatives. Ok paint if its not meant to be a 10 year show car paint job. You can use a cheaper base if you go with one of their better clears and you will get slightly longer lasting results. By the way where in GA are you located and are you going to the SEZ meet?

Help us decide! Mazda3, Sentra SE-R, Civic Si, for my wife!
ToplessZ replied to a topic in Non Tech Board
Listen to these guys don't let her get that mazda. I do like the Nissan Se-R Great little cars. The si is probably the best out of the three you listed but I would not give 22 for it. I personally also cast my vote for the new Pontiac Solstice. Then in a few years when its on its last legs you could make a sexy lookin hybrid out of it -
Umm common sense here guys you cannot thin water based paint with mineral spirits. However the alkyd enamel not acrylic enamel has a mineral sprits base so it would be thinned with mineral spirits thus my comments about valspar implement enamals.

Not sure how weather resistant the black is going to be may fade quicker then brighter colors. In any case, I have been reading and researching. Calling rustoleum tommorrow, and it seems that tremclad rust paint and the rustoleum that you are buying at walmart very well may have a different chemical makeup. The stuff at walmart says to reduce with acetone not paint thinner where the tremclad in canada says to reduce with varsol or mineral spirits. I looked at the valspar rust implement enamel at TSC today and not only are there alot of colors but its main ingredient is mineral spirits. The unfortunate thing is the valspar paint says not to thin at all. I may have to experiment with it somewhere down the road if someone else does not beat me to it. I just have my doubts about the durability of plain old rustoleum.

Are these the Imsa flares that MSA sells. I have always wanted to get a set of these and cut off the lip add some glass and make them into more of a zg flare. I have seen this on a 350z and it looked really good.
-
Lowes I believe will order a color for you. I would be interested to see how the aluminum paint mixes. However, I believe it has a different chemical composition thus the seperation. I don't think I would want the same problem to transfer to my paintjob. As for metallics, the moparts thread says not to use them. Man I wish I had my car at school I want to do this so bad! On a side note one might want to look into valspar implement enamels and see if their rust paint is the same. Just head over to your local TSC (tractor supply co) and look at all the colors
-
Man I am surprised at some of you guys all this posting without searching or reading. Anyways EZ that is the correct color chart. If you read all of the moparts thread you will see all this info and answers to your questions posted already if not twice... then later in the thread you see the noob with a friggin civic (I have one too) that signs up and asks all the questions that were already answered. Seems that happens here alot nowadays Sorry for the rant. On with pictures of trials. I know someone has already bought some paint and is trying it on their mail box or something right...I almost went to lowes just to look at the paint but then I thought....must concentrate on school work rather then car projects
