  1. Please post lots of pics along the way from start to finish
  2. Sure you can get that look with a roller....and the aid of photoshop lol. I wouldn't count on show quality but if you check out the moparts forum and find the album of the guy who originated it, you can look at his closeups that are really good!!!
  3. This should work great with all the enamel impliment paints that are sold at TSC hardware stores etc. Made by valspar. Not going to be a great 10,000 dollar 3 stage job but will definatly do for a driver or racecar. I have been contemplating this for a long time. Someone please let us see some results. I was thinking about going this route with the satin black on one car but now that I think about it there are other colors I would love to try.
  4. You know I was just looking closely at those wheels and it almost looks like someone reversed the inside lip with the outside which I always wondered about as far as possibility goes.
  5. Well that and it looked like he had been pretty built behind that 16% body fat. Its alot different when you have already been to that point rather then getting that way for the first time.
  6. Looks like Juan has exited the Z scene for good... Appearently now he is a fitness guru. http://cgi.ebay.com/itsAlldiet-Exercise-Program-Muscle-BodyBuilding-Book_W0QQitemZ7217121556QQcategoryZ62138QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem His whole wheat bread choice is not the best though. Nor is the fat free milk. (lots of nutritional background here) Gonna miss those great z parts though.
  7. Man that looks awesome. I wonder what the reliability or should I say durability of that paint will be?
  8. what did your spaces cost and where did you get them. Are these 4 to 5 lug adapters?
  9. I have heard of 500 hp on a blow through setup with a stock shortblock. I do believe the head was worked though. This was done with low compression in one cylinder. It was the guy who sold the purple imsa widebody to a guy wanting to do the Rb 26 swap in it. Can't remember the names right now but I believe that dyno charts where posted.
  10. Well it seems that all I have to do is find some cheap springs. I have some 8 inch and some 9 inch springs but I really want to use 10's the only other thing I have to worry about is using the flat top hats that I have vs the cone shaped top hats that I should use. I can use the stock damper or whatever with some pipe welded to it to center the spring or I can try to find some cheap top hats on ebay... Hmmm Is it a bad idea to use the rubber washers that come w/cheap coil over sets. Ive seen washers in this variety at hardware stores If I need them.
  11. I can Imagine the small weight of the early bumpers without any hardware would stretch the metal it would be tied into the headlight buckets and the fenders and you could always add a little reinforcement from the backside.
  12. has anyone had one installed in this manner. I am curious if they use the stock style weatherstipping around the windshield. Would be cool if they used a slimmer type that didn't use the trim
  13. Do you think it would be a bad idea to use 4 inch coil over sleeves? If I can use those I can basically make a set of coil overs for free except that I need to source some springs. Also is there a way to figure out spring rate on mystery springs?
  14. This would only be done to be painted and give a one piece seamless airdam look
  15. Can anyone think of any serious problems that could result from welding the front bumper to the z and forgoing the stock brackets (may retain them for safety rather then looks. This would be a good possibility for the 240 onto a 280 bumper swap. I was thinking about doing this in order to gain a seamless look in the front by making the bumper flush with the fender and headlight bucket then welding. I've seen this done on non z applications and I have always wondered what it might look like. Will have to leave seam under the bumper as you cannot weld to fiberglass obviously. I think this would be a great way to have the modern airdam look while still retaining the protection of the bumper... comments suggestions...has this been done before? __________________
  16. Don't be disheartened Dan... although Im not a huge fan of the stock Z31 trim that top is nicely executed and I have seen a couple of beautiful z31 wide bodies posted on a recent thread. My main gripe would be color and wheels but it has great potential and will be fun to drive as is.
  17. It is for the pair I just emailed him on the subject. It is much easier to put together your own and save a few dollars. Here is his reply... "Hello there, that is for a pair of....either for front or rear not both....and yes I have two coilover kits one for the street struts and one for the race version.....this contains the threaded colars two adjusters, and springs....and you can use them for front or back....thanks Paul"
  18. Northern Miss a best kept secret? I say look in and around Branson Missouri, Osage beach is close, Beautiful Lakes and scenery, and you would not believe the price of houses and land. The area is expanding and you could really make a good real estate investment buying a home there. The weather is mild most of the year and you are pretty close to Springfield, MO. I was there this past summer for a week and I picked up several real estate mags and could not believe the beautiful properties that could be had on the cheap. Lots of job oppertunities and the pay is fairly high. The area brings in lots of tourists and subsequently the schools are well funded. Good luck with your move.
  19. I think he may only be selling these in pairs as he is selling pairs of the springs alone for 130? I emailed him on the subject though.
  20. Hey Z-Tard any chance you got around to that front end lowering test as of yet? Would love to see the results there.
  21. Flames aren't my type but I do like yours
  22. doesn't look bad at all. Ive seen much worse in Ohio where Im from. As for the floor just cut out the bad areas and weld in patches looks like they are solid. I would check the frame rails first though because if those are shot then I would go ahead and redo the floors at the same time.
  23. not really the moral choice but people do it all the time
  24. I have one of these simple manual boost controllers that I did not get to use. absolutely nothing wrong with it. Its yours cheap if you want it. Let me know.
  25. Any updates on timeframe. I know Vince has been super busy with other obligations.
