Just an FYI it is not common for those looking for a true education to be disappointed when it comes to the college scene. I have attended two schools and am moving on to my third and last as we speak. I attended Ohio University in Athens, I payed alot of money to find that teachers were the ones not in class, they let class out far earlier then scheduled, they showed they could care less about your education or existance, and lots of them barely speak english. That being said, alot of your education comes from discipline and self education, and you do not always get what you pay for.
  4. Id pitch in for sure if vince would do a mold and make the part. This is the hood I want but without the stress cracks. I dont even care if its fiberglass I just want it carbon fiber would just be a bonus. Lets get the word to vince and other interested parties!!!!
  5. Sounds like a scary combo is in the works. Might I suggest though with the weight of the big block being an issue why not look for a good deal on a set of aluminum heads. That would save a ton of weight in front. I am also very curious on how this will fit with the jtr parts....
  6. uhhh huh sure you werent going to try it yourself Dont worry we all believe your story
  7. http://www.zparts.com/events/wcn2003/display2/pictures/dcp_8918.html there is the miata windshield didnt want to steal the picture but there is the link to the car I was talking about.
  8. A first gen miata windshield and frame is a good fit. Looks really good too there is a member here that has done it.
  9. Is it just me or does that link no longer work. PM me if you still want to sell your fiberglass flares
  10. Sounds more like you got ripped off by that man and women of honor? I hope your luck gets better for being so patient. Ship that kit out man...it stopped being yours when you were paid for it
  11. I think it would look good with some side skirts and some sort of rear treatment to match it a little. Probably some flares ala subtle z then it would be properly proportioned
  12. I would love to see it done and please document as I have been wanting to do this ever since I saw the z nose on an sx totally awesome.
  13. Im pretty sure Ive seen these also I think if they were smoother rather then following the body line they would look sweet
  14. Of course we like it its only the best looking hood to grace a z!!! I love it. I dont like cowl hoods though especially the huge cobra one Something subtle modern and functional fits my bill. I even like the stock hood bulge raised a little like the subtle z hood. Its functional discreet and looks good.
  15. We need a hood like poundz90h9 had made with this scoop http://www.neugenmotorsports.com/SSHS.htm I believe it is the late ss model camero scoop. Now that would be nice.
  16. more info and please tell me its something along the design of the vrengineering subtle z hood. I hate the 80's looking scoops that everyone has on their camero's and chevelle's etc. Something modern or z profiled would be welcomed if the price was right.
  17. I do believe its 35. My answer based on the fact that the gap between opposing numbers increases by three each time.
  18. Im pretty sure the 3sgte and sr20 both run forged cranks. I really would like to find a bearing that allows me to take a little less material from the datsun crankshaft my power goals are where people start having problems with the stock ld28 crank. Also where are you finding your specs for journal sizes and etc. Is there a catalog I can order to scrutinize or is it just searching for random tidbits on the net. Let me know so I can claim to be half as knowledgable as you
  19. Well hopefully with The help of DAW I can locate some bearings that will be close and a good compramise to maybe bore the rods and slightly cut the crank maybe even nissan undersized bearings.
  20. Thanks for piping up Dan I was hoping for some concrete numbers in that department. Still weighing in on whether I want to risk that or not. If I can play with bearing sizes as DAW has mentioned Im hoping to maybe not have to undersize that much. However if I can get some more comments on strength it would be nice to have the extra stroke if offset grinding to achieve the mr2 journal sizing??? I would say Daw is alot safer doing this on his l16 then I on my l6 just because I would like to run about 550 crank hp but then again with a little extra displacement maybe I wouldnt have to push the engine so hard to get that number?
  21. If I had the cash I would have loved to have that car. Good on gas, reliable, and still fast and in my favorite shell. The flaming earth has to go though.
  22. Go to Advanced AutoParts they sell some stuff that is rust remover and surface prep about five dollars a bottle and it works great. You can put it on as many times as you like. It is kind of green in color in a see through bottle and is in the paint section. I dont know what its called off hand but have used it many times and it works great.
  23. ahh yes even more exciting information. What price did you come up with for offset grinding the crank. If it would prove to be strong at 500 crank hp then that would be wicked when using the ld28 crankshaft!!! Even better a 3.1 using smaller then 89mm pistons
  24. What about it. That picture has been posted several times. Beautiful car. Too bad it runs carbs.
  25. duh disregard what I just said. Ill have two extra's when this is all over which you can have for cheap assuming they all turn out ok.
