  1. That is indeed the Friselle car, and it was sold in 2007. It was at the '07 Monterey Historics: ...whether or not they gave up and sold it back to Canepa after one season, I don't know. I emailed Brad Friselle these photos afterward and he said he wasn't aware his car was racing again. I wasn't able to get the name of the owner or race team, unfortunately.
  2. ORGASMIC sound. Good lord. The whole car is nice, but WOW, that sounds great.
  3. Ohhh, nice setup. I'd like the BRE style exit as well, but I'm working with what I've got. Did you build that yourself?
  4. Ohhh...VERY nice spoiler on the BSR Z. Anyone know what angle that sits at? If it's 30 degrees, I'd be all over it...looks a bit steeper than that, though.
  5. Rota's got some neat stuff: RB GT3 D2 I like the looks of the Axis Oldskool, as well(they're ripoffs of the Work Equip 03) ...and while we're on the topic of Work Equips, the 01 is pretty cool, but EXPENSIVE: Revolution makes some great stuff, but they're expensive as well. I'm going to link them, since they're large pictures: 4-spoke modular 5-spoke
  6. First step in troubleshooting is to step backward to get it to a state where it was before you had a problem. If you can't do that, try going back as far as you can before you attempt to 'fix' anything. Check if you've got the plug wires mixed up to begin with. Get a firing order diagram and make sure everything's going where it should. If you have to swap old components back onto the car to eliminate possibilities, do it. It seems counterintuitive, but in some cases, it helps.
  7. For being unedited, she sounds fantastic! Don't let a lack of funds get in the way, do whatever you can to get her out there! If this is truly her passion, feed it.
  8. I positively SUCK at this game. I can't wrap my mind around not moving one's fingers to the appropriate key when needed and just resting one finger one each button. ...it was embarrassing.
  9. Less donuts, more road race! Too bad there's no footage of the engine bay.
  10. I'm working on cleaning up the new(to me) motor and trans that's sitting in auxilary's garage right now. It's the MSA system, complete from header to tailpipes. N42 block and head, N36 manifolds, stock SUs(I'd have to research which year they're from, but they've got the knurled barrel nut on the mixture adjustment instead of the flat notched wheel). I'm looking forward to Ferrari noises. Aux and I have kicked around fabbing out the crossover and putting in two straight pipes. Not sure what this will do to the sound(more like an exotic V-12? Less?), but as Tony said, I'll probably not even notice the difference in power, assuming there is one. I'm actually looking for mileage at this point, considering my Z is daily driven. What a great sound! I hope I don't piss off everyone in my apartment complex when they finally go on. Looks as if there might be a clearance issue underneath...they really hang down low, don't they?
  11. WOW...awesome work, Bruce! You may want to look in the Windtunnel section to get some ideas on what would be ideal for the Z market. I know I'd like a 30 degree, 6" or 7" tall full-width hatch lip spoiler.
  12. My first thought was a Le Rhone Gnôme, but the pushrods aren't on opposing sides of the cylinder. The valve springs should be a dead giveaway. This may be harder than I thought... Edit: Not a Clerget, Bentley, Anzani, or Oberursel, either. I'm STUMPED.
  13. It's a Napier product, but not a Sabre. That's a Vee layout, and the Sabre's an H layout. Plumbing looks akin to many of the post-WWII turbocompound 'ultra' motors that many companies developed to compete with turbojets with regard to efficiency and power...shame they didn't keep at it. Not a Nomad, either...got me on this one. I'm going to have to Google around. It's a Deltic! Wild.
  14. Sorry, that wasn't meant as an insult to your language skills.
  15. *snort* *mphh* bahaahahahahaahahahahahhaahah
  16. Plenty of cases in the Rockies. Linked an article that wasn't what I thought it was, though.
  17. Your wife is...male? *runs like hell* (Yeah, that's Jay's)
  18. World's most powerful diesel ship engine. Ohhhh, it's JDM!
  19. Seat in the engine bay, aircraft style stick on the steering rack, plexiglass hood, engine in the cabin. Run the exhaust out the open hatch and hope to God himself your balls are made of brass and you don't run into anything, because getting squished between a rail and that monster demonstrating Newton's first law to its best ability would SUCK.
