  1. well, i replaced the struts a little while ago, and there is no visible damage other than mild chafing...there is, at least, a bushing keeping it from being direct contact. Thanks alot and I will probably be making a trip to autozone soon.
  2. oh, what do you think would be a good length for this endlink. thanks

  4. I've done a search, but most of the mounting questions concern where on the chassis of the car the bar is mounted, my question is whether or not the rear swaybar has an endlink like the front, or is bolted directly down on the control arms, as mine is currently, and was when i bought the car. I believe that there should be something lifting the swaybar up, and I think this could be a cause of the excessive roll i have been experiencing. If there is supposed to be a link of some sort, please point me in the right direction to find one of these.
  5. well, what I ended up doing was soldering a wire where the stock wire connects to the little flexible brass thing that touches the back of the wheel mount, and just connecting that wire to one of the prongs on the relay, kinda bypassing the wiring harness. It isnt the best way to do it, but it works.
  6. I thought about that, and actually tried it, but apparantly I used too thing gauge wire and it would just burn throughwhen i pressed the button, I might try something thicker and actually soldering it in place rather than holding it there with my finger....not fun.
  7. no one has any help for me...oh well
  8. actually the backs and sides of my seats are leather, it is just the front that is cloth. Don't worry man, your seats look great too.
  9. well, i finally got some pics of my seats and the strut tower brace I welded in today. Enjoy.
  10. 5.0l_z, Any progress? I am dying to get a cage like yours.
  11. that wing must be making some serious downforce to shove the car into the ground like that
  12. I need to get my horn working very quickly so i can get the car inspected and keep it on the road. Here's the deal. When I bought the car it didnt have the actual horn, so I replaced it and it worked fine. After a while something happened and my horn no longer works. It isnt the relay as I have bought two, the fuse is fine, and I took out the horn button and rubbed the wire on a ground and nothing happened so it isnt the button. Also the little connector on the back of the steering wheel mount seems to have good contact so i dont think that is the problem. However if I use a screwdriver to connect the three ( or maybe just outer two) prongs on the relay, the horn sounds. At this point, I dont really know what could be the problem. If someone out there knows what it could be please let me know. If not could someone direct me as to how I would go about making a completely new and independent circuit for the horn that would work at least temporarily. thanks alot.
  13. I just mounted my seats and they are truly awesome. I have the rear sitting directly on the rail mount and the front has two spacers, as I am fairly tall, and like to have a bit of rear decline in the seat to hold me in. They are very comfy, and they hold me in quite well. Also the cloth material looks great, and the backs of them are leather. I am very happy with these seats and now I must get harnesses to compliment them. Pics will come as soon as I get my camera back from my friend.
  14. well, i ended up going with something I knew would fit, seats from an fd3s rx-7. I bought them on ebay and they should be arriving shortly. I cant wait.
  15. Yea, I am amazed that you could put up with the kid for so long. I, too, am young, 16, but I have a great deal of respect for my elders, especially those who have more experience than I do with cars. Plus, a little help is great, but I would like to be able to say that I did ALL the work on my car, not that I had someone else do it. I say sell the stuff and make a profit, those honda boys will give good coin for their parts.
  16. I have an archos jukebox which was relatively cheap, and has all the capabilities of an ipod for less. It has a 15gb harddrive and is great, despite being a little bulky. I had it before I got my car, and once I got it and discovered that the head unit didnt work, I hooked up the mp3 player directly to the amp, and I have thousands of songs right at my fingertips. And when I get out of the car, the player comes with me, and i can listen on my headphones untill i get inside, when I plug the player into my stereo. I love it
  17. I am about to cut out my floors and frame rails and replace the already poorly fixed work. I am going to have to cut a very significant amount of metal out, and since I don't have a rotisserie, I am worried about the chassis distorting when I remove the rails. Should I add bracing to the chassis in any way before I cut out the frames, and also, is there any way I should support the car i.e. on the wheels or on jackstands in specific places or whatever. Thanks for your help.
  18. I just won an ebay auction for a set of black cloth rx7 seats, they should be here soon and then I will mount them. I'm excited.
  19. ahh, so they are.... thanks man.
  20. My hatch is disintegrating before my eyes, the whole thing is rusted to the point that when i went to touched a rust bubble, my finger went through the sheetmetal. If anyone has a spare hatch that they are willing to sell to me , I would greatly appreciate it, As I need one ASAP Thanks Will P.S. I would have put this in the buy/sell/trade forum but it dissapeared and Im not a vendor
  21. I know ive seen some people here mention sitting in them or seeing them on ebay and saying that they were going to buy them, but I havent seen anyone who has actually had them installed in their car. I am thinking of buying them, but I am not sure if they will fit. According to the manufacturer, they are 21'' wide, i am not sure if that is at the base or at the top of the cusion, which would be the widest point. If it is at the cushion then they should fit, but if it is at the base then things would be very tight. Please let me know if you think these will or wont fit. Thanks
  22. 5.0l_z, If that is the case, then I would very much like one of your cages. I plan to replace my floors and frame rails in the next few weeks and would like to do the cage at the same time. Now, I know you are still in the early phases of this project so I understand if you can't make one quickly or at all; but if at all possible, do you think you could bend me a main hoop like that one with some measurements for the rest of the cage, because i dont have access to a mandrel bender. It would save me alot of time, and I would be very appreciative. Thanks, Will.
  23. I am looking at a pair of these also. I am 6'1'' and have some taller friends, do you think that they could be mounted low enough to be comfortable.
  24. My car is running rich enough that I want to tune it up, but i dont have a carb sync tool and none of the local auto places have one. I cant even find a place online that sells them. If you know where i could get one of these please let me know. thanks.
  25. I am very interested in your cage, just one question, how much does the diagonal bar restrict the recline of the passenger seat. I have some fairly tall friends, around 6'5'' do you think that they will be comfortable in the passenger seat. Thanks
