  1. Ok, i have a 79 S130, and i have ST springs, and sway bars, I run illuminas in the front and i currently have KYB gas-adjust struts in the rear. I have done some adjusting to the illuminas, but i still think the rear feels a little too soft. Are Tokico HP's a little stiffer? Thanks for the info- -Tyler-
  2. I would take your valve cover off and re-torque your studs, and make sure they are all still there. I had an oil leak, an i found out that my number 6 stud broke off at the head, and it caused a slow leak.
  3. ya thats them after all, are they relatively simple to install on an s130?
  4. anyone know which year skyline tails are the easiest to fab into fitting on an s130?
  5. ya, that sticky doesn't specify whether the r200 was in all the manuals, it just says s130.
  6. I have a 79 manual coupe, and i think its an r180, what ratio would that be?
  7. My 79 does a similar thing, but i think its just a small vacum leak under my dash.
  8. Ok, there is a bccd, but now that its warmed up to 50-70's outside, it idles at 800rpm.
  9. Sorry to hear about your 79 bro, it hits close to home. I just tore my car t6o pieces recently, by sliding under an e350 van. sorry to hear it dude.
  10. I feel ya bro, i still havent gotten around to body work, because of school and work.
  11. I have a set of swasticas on my 79 s130, and i have the st spring kit, poly bushings, etc, i was wondering if 225/50/15 hankook rs2's would give me anyproblems on the 15x6 wheel, it says they fit a 6 inch wheel, but i was wondering if anyone else runs a 225 on 6 inch wheels, and if they have3 any clearence problems. thanks -Tyler-
  12. Get them off ebay, i got my set of used ones for like 5 bucks.
  13. Ya ive done all that, the car is a 79 na, no BCCD i believe, its a january, so its almost identical to the s30 280z motors. This is a no cat, or oxygen sensor model. when the temperature is warm outside, the engine idles fine.
  14. Your problem sounds like the ignition acc relay, mine did the exact same thing for so long. Doe your tach, blinkers, radio, backup lights, wipers, blower, voltmeter, thermastat, and oilpressure guage not work? mine would work, then randomly stop, then start working again. The more i drove it the more often things would not work, till finnally nothing worked.
  15. Check the ignition/accessory relay
  16. before you go replaceing alot of epensive struff, i would rplace the cheap stuff, like the fuel filter. I had a clogged fuel filter, and it did the same thing your describing. The problem, is that the car sat for a while and the inside of the tank started to rust, and it clogged the filter. When i took it out, th einside of the filter looked like brown paint primer. What it did, is when the fuel pump move gas through the filter, all the debree that moved down the lines when it wasnt pressureized would move back up into the filter, thats why it runs fine for 10 minutes, its not clogged yet. Around 3-4k, the engine should flatline, and wont really accelerate when pushed hard.
  17. ya everything with the ignition system is new, no vacum leaks, good fuel pressure. im kinda stumped, i could see how the afm could be a possibility though, i have a new ecu as well.
  18. Its really wierd, when the engine is cold it tends to idle higher, that part is due to the cold start valve, but sometimes it doesnt idle down. One time i drive it, it will idle at 2000, the next coule be 800, then the next it could be 1600, or 1200rpm, i have noticed that it tends to idle a little higher when its cold out, but when the engine is warm, the idle problem still happens. It also doesnt like idleing down when i drive.
  19. i have a problem where the engine will idle between 800rpm and 2k, its very inconsistant, but not a big deal, and ideas?
  20. check the power wire to your igntion system. If not that look at the coolant temp sensor, itsa like 10 bucks, and then the ignition relay.
  21. Those wheels are watanabes i believe, i dont6 think that texture of the spokes comes on rewinds.
  22. lol, i was about to say, that thing is slammed.
  23. I have a set of celica-suprawheels, without tires, got the hubs bored, and they are lieght, something like 13lbs. They are 14x7's prolly not a good option to trash becasue of the fact that they wont fit the fronts stock. But if you just want something to smoke off the rear, they would be fine.
  24. Whats up dave, i hadnt heard from you in a while man. Its a shame you sold the z, but 510's are badass as well. Good luck to ya man. -Tyler-
