  1. i appreciate it the info, i was thinking it would be fine, but how will it be when im Autox ing? if i take corners too fast, will it pick up off the spring, and get off track?
  2. Ok so heres an update, i have teh suspension apart. i am installing suspension techniques lowering spring, and i put them on the strut and am putting the bonnet on, but the problem is threads on the strut rod seem to end sooner, causeing the strut to be taller than the stock one, also there is a half inch gap between the top of the bonnet and the top of the spring. Any suggestions, i need help bad.
  3. For an na, i would recomend a centerforce 2, i bought mine from autoparts warehouse for like 240 bucks, and it was worth every penny.
  4. ya so i did a little observing and the ends are the same, it just looks like the 79-81 has larger bump stops, but they are removable so i thinik ill be good. Any more input is also welcome. thanks for the responses so far.
  5. Ok heres the deal. I have a 1979 s130 and i am upgrading suspension, and when ordering struts, i accidentally ordered rear kyb gas-adjusts for the 1981-83 model, wil those bolt up to my 79? if not what would you recomend me to do?
  6. Sweet, thanks for the info and the pics, its much appreciated.
  7. I guess i should specify maybe so i dont get barbequed. WIll it be functional?
  8. Ok so im building a F54/e31 l28 combo for my 79zx and was wondering if i could cut groves out of my e31 head im building for the injectors to slide in. If you dont get what im talking about, im talking about the small indentions the nozzles of the injectors slide down in. well anyway any feed abck will be welcome.
  9. IM here. mine is a January 79 slicktop NA s130, i am pushing 160whp, with boltons, and minor internal work. Here are a few pics, enjoy.
  10. ya im fixing to take it all back apart again. I drove it today for only the second time total, and the tranny is making popping noises when i engage the clutch. I dont know if its teh bolts, or if its the crappy slave cylinder that needs replacing. but im definitely replaceing the grade 8.8 with 10.9. What length should i buy? I custom ground my previous bolts to 14mm length. do they sell class 10.9 in m8x1.25x14mm?
  11. So i took the z out for a spin today, and it drives beautifully. The clutch engages really smoothly, the pedal is softer than the stock clutch's. i was surprised that teh car is easier to drive with the fidanza flywheel, than witht he stock one. well anyway ill keep you updated. and on the grade stuff. My car is almost stock, so will it being 8.8 really make that much of a difference, its only a centerforce 2 clutch too, wouldnt the aluminum strip before the steel?
  12. ok i got everything on and torqued, and started it, but havent driven it due to the lack of an air intake boot. But anyway, eveything went on well, and started smoothly.
  13. So i have the flywheel installed now on my 79 s130, combined with the centerforce 2 clutch. The problem i ran into was that hardware stores dont carry teh right sized bolts. so what i did was bought M8x1.25x16 grade 8.8 hex head bolts, and ground them down to 14mm length instead of 16mm, and then re threaded them. On installation i made sure they didnt bottom out this time, then used loctite on the final install. I ran out of time last night working on it, so i havent been able to test everything yet. I need a new slave cylinder before i go anywhere. ill keep yall updated though.
  14. Ok, ive read and read posts, and im wondering about a 79 280zx, i have a fidanza flywheel and a centerforce 2 clutch im about to install. do the l28e engines have the same problems with bolt length as teh others?
  15. its actually a lotus espirit.
  16. I like those corbeau forzas, i myself am currently putting a pair of momo start 2007's in my s130, i also replaced all the carpet, and mounted 6x9's in the trunk floor, ill post pics tommarow.
  17. Ya, that sounds about right, Top Hat motorsports quoted me $4200 for the complete swap, including custom fab and labor.

  22. Dude, i like the s130. You go to UGA, ive never seen you around, i go to gainesville state's oconee campus, but im always in athens. Bring it to the Import Atlanta meet at sonic on ATL highway at 7:30 pm on monday the 7th. I want to see it. As for my s130, im doing an na build with flattops and a mn47 head, and ITB's. Right now my interior is getting an overhaul, complete with momo seats.
