StreetVelocityGTR, If you are really wanting to hit a 9 second 1/4 mile, are you sure you want to keep you dash? and most of your interior? I know where you are coming from in wanting to retain a semi stock look. Seems to be 2 different goals though, If you do manage to get a 9 second car and retain most of your intereior more power to you!

Well depending on what time you get the gasket, you might have another hand here I am working 1230-2100, and have a meeting @ 1000 as well. But if you aint gonna fo it till friday I reckon I could get there about 0900. If you keen I could bring some tools or anything else you might need. Just ask

Sorry to say but he signed on and should have either gone to war or gone to jail. I am in New Zealand, which has a fairly high anti Bush and anti war attitude. I feel more and more proud every day of what our guys are doing over there and hope for them to all come back safe. I grew up in the states in a Navy family so I know what it is like to send a family member to war and I can tell you it isnt fun. But I think it would have been evenworse for my father to have said he wasnt going and left his fellow men in the lurch.

Cheers for the rapid reply, the dials are on the bottom of the rears, but on the top og the fronts, I will get a pic if I can to show you what I mean. Also while I am here, where can I get a new diff mount for an 82 280ZX? Cant find one on MSA's web site! Cheers!

Hey there I brought a car with what seems questionable suspension. It has adjustable shocks all round but the "dial" type fitting on the top of the front shocks is gone! and it feels SEVERLY out of balance. Is there anyway I can measure this to get them even all round? Or do to the missing dials on the front set, will I have to replace them? CHeers

Is that one of those electric superchargers that works?

I see a turbo, so you are looking RB20DET or RB25DET! But the hole that the spark plug leads are going through looks alittle off to me and the dizzy is mounted whenre the cam angle sensor should be, plerhaps this is an interesting way to not have to replace coil packs

Hey there guys I really need your help on this one. Seems my moms Z32 seems to like to dump coolant everytime she stops! 90 NA automatic, Seems to have a leak from the pipe running from the front of the intake manifold (from near the throttle butterfly) to what seems to be the cack of the block. I cant tell if it is really this one or not but it seems to be the only likely place for the leak. Is this a common occurence. This is a RHD vehicle and is on the right hand side when facing the engine. Is it an engine out of the car job to fix?

You could try a non over the top intake manifold, like the 26Dett uses. THat would probably fix your clearance issue

Hey there, I live in New Zealand which seems to be the land of Skylines and was wondering which would be the model of choice to pull a diff out of if the chance arises? Its for a 280ZX 2+2 mainly used for street and some (very little!) track time. triple Mikunis and exhaust on it at the moment but am seriously considering going turbo. So the diff would need to be able to handle more power in the future. I do alot of city driving so would a 4.11 be to much? Cheers!

What do you want to see? Like the countryside or the rain forests, or the garden city (christchurch)? I live in Christchurch, I can say would be best to come in the spring/summer (unless your into ski'ing) that way you can see all blloms and pretty stuff. I reccomend a trip to hanmer springs and do a bungy jump! If your one of the "wow a Skyline" group, you will love it here! We can get GTRs for like $30,000NZD! Edit to add stuff

You will need an RB26 style intake or your sump will be so low that it will get grounded on speed bumps, you will also need the 200SX(?) mounts from the RB20 engined 300ZX. also may find trouble with the 6 speed but not to sure on that one. Visit http://www.Skylinesdownunder.co.nz in the forums there and look for a person called GTR shop, he may be able to help you with the mounts and intake!

Umm the question was asked on Zcar, and after reading the replies to that, I wont ask here! I would like to know how many of you here would order somthing like that if it was completed? I know that it probably isnt viable but hey!

Gollum, If you take a look around here you will see thast if done properly a V8 will end up only about 50-60 pounds heavier if that. Also as it sets the weight back in the car it provides better balance so doenst really affect the conering. There are also quite a few people here who have installed a V8 and had it smogged successfully.
