ok so i did a search bu didn't find the info i was looking for...
can anybody tell me the differences between an f54 block and an N42 block?
strenght, etc.? anything?
Doesn't really matter what muffler you get
any inline 6 Z isn't gonna sound like a 4 banger. I use a magnaflow street series flow through muffler, all stainless steel, and run 2 1/2" pipe up to the header. Sounds good till you get it above 4k then it just screams. but you can't beat the power gain.
Just have a local performance shop weld you up an exhaust system. Mine cost 225 with new pipe, custom install, and muffler.
We have a boat and use one, and it works very well, it's also used on bridges to slow rust.
But as i understood, The one on the car works opposite saltwater, ones on boats neutralizes the water pretty much, How do you neutralize air?
And who the hell wants to try to find an oil leak on a black engine? No thanks. Like playing where's waldo.
Also... If painting the engine really made such a dramatic difference in temperature drop, every single race enging would be black... I don't know about you guys, but i've never seen a racepreped engine painted black.
Plus it looks ugly
Thank you very much for the info, I never really realized all you had to do was swap the rods from a 280 with the ones from a 240 to get the compression, I figured the cranks would be different sizes... silly me. Might have to do that since the engine is already out.
Thank you again.

your setup sounds really close to mine.
Where did you find your intake manifold?
has anybody actually used the "economy camber kit" from MSA they have a $99 camber adjuster... (mount on top of the strut) would 1.5 deg be enough to correct a 1-2" lowered car?
thoughts and comments on these?
that is how i had my previous fan as well, but i was looking at going to a dual fan unit, hopping that where the two fans meet would be enough clearance for the pulley
yeah i've got that dimension, i need the width... i need to know how big of a fan i can put on my new aluminuim radiator that i'm ordering, dont' want it touching the pulley
I need somebody to measure the distance from the Dampener to the cross memeber on which the radiator mount... so the distance from the pulley to the radiator plus the width of the radiator. I can not measure as my engine is out of my car.
thank you
Ed
i have emailed several times with no response back only the "thank you emailing modern motorsports" reply
I'm gonna need these spacers by the end of october so i can drive my car.
