  1. Much cheaper, but wont last as long.
  2. Might try these guys out. I bought my wheels from them, great guys over there. Only 180 for a set of 4, not too bad. http://www.technotoytuning.com/products/wheel_adapters.html
  3. wow, 18's really fill up the tire well. Where did you get the 5 lug adapters?
  4. This is my car with rewinds that are 15x7 0 offset all around. 15x8 0 offset would work nicely up front, and -5 offset in the back would probably come right out to the edge. I think you'll be alright.
  5. Sweet, thanks guys. I think that color is gonna turn out really nice.
  6. I just got my front air dam installed and about ready to it in for paint. I really want to go with Daytona blue off the 350z. If I give them the color code will they be able to pull it up or will they have to color match it with something. Shes been flat black for far too long.
  7. Yea i've tried the z31 strut housing swap before. It works, everything bolts in, but the angle on the spindle is quite a bit different. You'll end up with a lot of positive camber. Lowering with tokico springs and slotting the strut towers weren't enough. It was close though, but never took it to an alignment shop to find out how far it was off. I ended up scrapping the project and buying wilwoods for the s130. Luckily all the parts were off a friends wrecked 300 so I really wasn't out any money, just time. Oh and the z31 struts are about an inch shorter so the 280zx ones won't work. I'm not sure how much Technotoy is charging for wheel adapters, I can't find them on their new site, but take a look at these guys also. Here I might go that route too because I wanna still keep my wilwoods. I doubt there is any jy 5 lug swap that'll work while still keeping my brakes.
  8. TechnoToyTuning is actually in Norcal, somewhere near Placerville I think.
  9. Bleach, that sounds like it'll work. Take some pics if you go ahead with it. It seems like coilovers would solve the height problem, it didn't look like it sat that much lower. What do you plan on doing for the fronts? I just put my wildoods in not too long ago so i'm not sure i want to change it all up again for 5 lugs. I might try it this summer though.
  10. Have you measured how much further back the z31 strut sits? I did today and its less than an inch. I wonder if that would stop it from bolting up?
  11. BleachZee, you could always do what this guy did. Here
  12. Nope, should be fine. Ran mine like that for 2 years when I switched from a p79 to N47 head.
  13. You'll have to extend the chts wiring and put it into the thermostat housing water temp sensor. The two sensors are different, ones for water and the other is dry, but the resistance values are the same.
  14. You need at least the chts and the efi relay. won't run without them. The fuel pump modulator isn't needed either, i'm not running one. The other two aren't really needed especially being if Florida. Mainly for cold start up I believe.
  15. My car passed with great #'s the last two times with 10:1 comp. I used 91 octane and set the timing to 6. You shouldn't need that high of octane, at least for the smog test.
  16. I like em black, maybe if the car was a tad lower it would be perfect. BTW, what kind of exhaust/muffler are you running? I couldn't find it on your website.
  17. I found this pic awhile ago somewhere on the net.
  18. pallnet has em for like 110. here
  19. Yea I have the same 4 piston kit from AZC as well. They ridiculously lighter than my stock s130 brakes. They barely fit inside my 15in rewinds.
  20. I used a jackstand to hold up the steering knuckle then a 4lbs sledgehammer to knock out the tie rod end. Altough don't hit the part with the threads, I hit on the arm just before it the knuckle. Usually a few taps and its free.
  21. Energy Suspension part # 9.13103G I got mine through autozone for about 3 bux.
  22. Yeah, that makes sense about the lower final drive. The turbo is getting louder, it must have been on its last leg when I installed it. (junkyard turbo). I'm gonna try my other spare one to see if that'll get me by till I can figure out what to do.
  23. Thanks guys. The dash is a 97 acura gsr. A project put on hold, but it does fit up against the windshield/firewall nicely. Just need to make brackets to hold it in. I won't get back to that for awhile, the turbo swap got me distracted. Anyways, last night I took her out and ran it against my brother new 97 prelude, all the usual bolt ons. I was able to pull about 5 car lengths on him by the time I hit 4th, I fudged the 3 to 4 shift too. Right now I have the 3.9 rear but i'm not sure if thats hurting me or not. Unfortunately, this morning I go to start the car and now i'm getting a slight metallic sound from the turbo area. Its hard to say really, i'm not real familiar with turbos just yet. I pulled the inlet hose off and the blades look fine, to me atleast, and it spins freely. It has a hair of freeplay up and down, but no more than when I first installed it. I just can't decide if I want to rebuild it or upgrade.
  24. sorry, just got my turbo running but can't really 'get on it' cause its so wet outside. Its a flattop/p90 setup, stock boost, turbo efi, nissan 5 speed, 3.9 rear. Fun as hell to drive, but can't get it to boost without pitching it sideways. Oh well, just wanted to vent.
