there was one occassion were I put it in drive and it didnt go anywhere, only reved, I killed the engine and tried again and it was fine, that was a while ago and I have been driving it daily sence with 0 tranny trouble

In a guess, your ignition wireing could be grounding out, but thats only a guess.

has anybody driven 3000 miles in an s30 in a matter of days? any advice for sombody that is stupid enough to try it? the car has no known problems, it does not over heat, all old vacume and fuel lines have been replaced, it is a reliable daily driver with 148000 miles.

if your not sure that thats the problem or not there is not point in spending any money on a new one, even if it is cheap, just remove it it and see if that fixes the problem, if so, replace it, if not, keep looking

ok, well the idle speed screw is above the TB, get a manual or search for a pic, for the heat issue check the thermostat, they are cheap and it sounds like it could be the culprit

did you adjust the idle speed screw?

as in bondo gold or somthing? oh, and another reason I was thinking about making a new roll pan was because there is some rot on the old one

I caried one out of the PnP like that, I didnt care if it broke cause I only wanted the internals, but it didnt break, you owe me a dollar

what about those anoyying grooves and indents that go across the roll pan, bondo?
