  1. Have Found that the BOV adapters listed on Ebay as "universal" are not! I received a DSM,and it was a delta pattern. I ended up using the leftover 2.5 pipe from the intercooler kit.I made it with a plastic hammer, jigsaw, and drill....from the gasket I was given. Just used a leftover pipe.( the intercooler piping folks give You a lot!)
  2. Hi.If You have a 75-78 system You can reverse the stock 45 degree intake boot(which normally goes to the AMF) and go to the 60mm side...then couple with the 2.5 intercooler tubing. A little stretching, but no problem. The vacuum inlet will endup at the bottom however:icon_frow...but, at least it`s there! Connect that with the fidle system and its cool. I had to do a little rehab work due to cracking ,with black silicone. Perfect!
  3. Thanks blairjj, Have a "mildly crushed" DSM from EBAY on the way..good for 20psi. Thanks, Roger
  4. Yeah, thanks evildky..I`ll think I`ll go for the "atmospheric" approach....especially after seeing the above---jeez can we get more complex or what? I think cars in general are getting more "green aware" that doesn`t mean We can`t do ours in a different way...If You go to any racetrack...Welll. We are few,and what ever we do is so minor.So...to get to the point..what kind of filter do You have off the crankcase . Thanks, Roger
  5. Hi! Realizing some are in the smog check and others not....I am not. What are you guys doing with the crankcase ventilation thing. Eliminate the pcv valve and go atmospheric? It would help the clearance with the intake, ac compressor and intercooler. I am thinking of just putting a filter on the 81 let block outlet. Any ideas on this ? Thanks, Roger
  6. Hi, after going to Schucks and spending a little time with salesgal there trying to understand the K&N book, She went to the manager who pointed to aisle 3. There were universal cone filters (3-4"inlet)by Spectre sitting there for 25$--half price! Above, at the top was the valve cover filter for 5$ or so. So, I installed it with clearance problems from the pcv system and AC compressor. Anyway, it will work! Thanks, Roger
  7. Sorry to bother you all, but what is the # on this...as well as that funky little thing on the valve cover...at the crankcase gas recirculation thing.I have searched for it. But, they all want a model number and year. Would appreciate any help on this. I`ve seen the full intake thing at Schucks...but ,You got to buy the whole thing...for whatever it is! Thanks, Roger
  8. I don`t know if the 02 HY35w is anyway similar to Your HX35(assuming it is), But I ground off an 1/8+ or so off the exhaust manifold and did the same with the intake. It fit..It`s ON.Good Luck with Your project! Roger
  9. Well, I got properly spanked by six shooter! Thanks for the above..am about to bid on a DSM on EBAY. Thanks, Roger
  10. OOps, I do not know much about this, but the small inlet may not go to the intake manifold at all. Just guessing...Why would it? It`s controlling the input pressure. Why would MAP have anything to do with it?....just wondering..
  11. Hey Derek, Where are getting the DSM from? I`d like to see it so I can respond.
  12. True enough, but that is on the inside of the intake manifold. We are talking about the input at the throttle valve..on the outside--big difference.
  13. And, if You lift off You have residual pressure on the intake wanting to go somewhere..thus the Bov and with the closed system..putting that stuff back in front of the intake turbine to keep it going. I don`t see the vacuum thing ..doesn`t make any sense.
  14. Hi, Please expain "crush" for the rest of us idiots...with all do respect.
  15. Hi, trying to find a supplier for this item. It`s for an 02 HY35w. This is not the vband later models. It has an apposing two bolt configuration with a flange. In addition..is there a supplier on the web(not dodge or others), that sources muffler shops in general? Thanks, Roger
  16. Well ,I`m screwed..it`s all 1/8" npt stuff---sorry for the misleading information. Roger
  17. I got an adapter off of ebay that worked.See My thread on this. The only problem was shortness of the line ,which I solved by using a leftover grease gun outlet tube and a female 1/4to 1/4 adapter.. Any 1/4 npt pipe will work-there are at Home Depot in the plumbing section. I don`t see the bpt and the npt being any problem . I was deluded by this stuff and spent money I didn`t need to. I put a 1/8" npt into the block . How did that work! No problem! What is this banjo stuff? Where did that urban legend come from? The oil line goes by the knock sensor ,but does not have to interfere. Thanks, Roger
  18. Yeah, I looked at it this morning and cutting off the flange about 1/2" to 3/4" will get it with a 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" silicone 90 degree Lbow. The exhaust will be good with a cut and about a 30 degree or so rotation. I`ll try the stainless steel patch first-- I can always weld it later. Thanks for your help! Roger
  19. And that doesn`t address the exhaust problem.
  20. Like your intercooler tho..what is it? That`s what I had in mind. Roger
  21. I have a straight output..not like in your pictures. I wish!!. Thought about rotating it again!!, don`t see a solution other than what I mentioned. Thanks,Roger....You guy are sure quick!!
