Hi, Anybody experienced this? Dumped half a can of penetrating oil on it with some results, but still it is resistant. Without going to an external,what are the options? Bump off the external bracket with a torch or grinder and kick the shaft back, relieve the shaft to allow clearance? Any ideas?

Also am going to JB weld the slots on the main shaft to eliminate advance.

Finally figured this out --I think! Pulled the retard coil (next to the now nonexistent vacuum advance), used the screw at the adjustment markings to pin the top plate to the bottom (per Naviathan only different method). I drilled through the bottom plate to allow the screw to penetrate through flush. Will J weld to finish. This should work for 74-78 models.

Have the thing apart. The red and green pickup has the collar. The brown and green has the "contactor". Which one? Assuming the latter, because the the california version has only one pickup with contractor. Thank God they only made this for two years!

I`m starting My adventure here as well.JEEZE--- 460cc injectors? Where did You get those? I was in Schucks today and the guy said His buddy blew up a turbo Z with a hy35w two years ago..and, well... Didn`t do the Megasquirt to well.

Build your own--with help from your friends. Go to the local autozone...or others. They have stuff to do it. Schucks in My case. Buy the cheap welder and learn how to do it. Learning is what it`s all about on this site.

How will it hook up to a Holset?---and it doesn`t have a 3" exhaust.

Z YA, It`s a 76 dual reluctor( actually, June 1976 )--as opposed to the singles. One is advance and one is retard.

Thanks, Matt! That was the answer I was looking for. Roger. This out of thread but, where are good places to find electrical connectors on line. I`m looking for a connector for the 240sx 60mm throttle body in particular(the 3 connector pigtail)--and others as well. Thanks again to You all.

Any help on this...or am I going to figure this stuff on My own? I will gladly do so. Moby , I can do this stuff off of the original harness of My 76 Z, But, was hoping for a more sophisticated way of completing the job. thanks for the newbie thing--a wonderful way of bringing a new way of looking at life! Hi! Just wanted to make sure about linkage. This dizzy has two coils. I`m assuming either would work. I am planning to use the red and the green--the ground between the two. They are advance and retard coils. Any advice on this? Going to knock the pins out shortly to lock the advance per previous threads. Also, any info on where to get connectors for the LET knock sensor, and the 240sx 60mm male online? Thanks a lot,Roger

How?? All I`ve seen is eliminating vacuum advance and eliminating the advance mechanicals thru different means. I`m assuming You can do this through Mega.For ZEEBOOST That 28mpg@ 3100 is awesome! I was looking for that at 2200!!

Thank You Moby! It may help others as dumb as I am to go to the Megasquirt info site. I have been there many hours before-- but realized after going through it, You have to go through the whole thing. The sensor site is very important. Thanks again! Roger

Thanks Moby! I think I`ll just shut up for a while. My Z still has snow to the windows (We had 150% snow level here). It is covered-hopefully the POR-15 has done it`s job. But,on the other hand-I get the more advanced O2 sensor?...and then msII takes care of it--and go wide band. What O2 sensor do You recommend?

Hi Moby! Like your approach,but I thought having a basic MAP would be a good place to start. Thanks for your previous help on this. I overreacted based on My earlier experience here--I apologize! You have helped--a lot! Still, I wonder about the wide band thing--and if I need it. I have down loaded Metros stuff--are You saying it`s irrelevant?

Can We just get away from the "newbie" thing and just answer questions? I bought My Z in 1976.I don`t want to hear stuff from some newcomers saying I`m a "newbie". I`ve been around for a while! Accurate information is the goal here. Let`s go there. The "hazing" thing is getting a bit old. If there is a thread that is relevent--tell them where to go!! Stop doing this game. Ohh, that is sooo condescending. I have spent many many hours going through all the posts--I may have missed a few in the process(obviously I missed a few). Anyway, thanks for the link.
