  1. Sweet man. I'm interested in what cam as well. Are the LS6 heads completely stock? DYNO numbers when you get it on the road
  2. I sent in the "bent" one for an exchange. I'm still waiting on the replacement. I'll keep an update of the build
  3. I ordered some spark plugs boots made for the LS1 from Summit, hopefully they come in today. I'll take a pic of them installed when I get them.
  4. I am definately calling him on Monday. It will slow the chassis prep down but I still have a ton of other stuff to do in the meantime, hehe. I did some preparing on the engine itself tonight. I got the AC pulled, along with the PS pump, which was a PITA !!!
  5. Don't have a torch (yet). I did email John and sent him the same pic of the mount. Just waiting on a reply from him.
  6. Any idea of how to bend it??? Was thinking of putting it back in place on the tower lifting the car up so all the weight is on the mount and jumping on it Either that or finding a local shop that can bend it for me....
  7. Worked on the JCI mount kit tonight for my LS1. The driver's side went in fairly smoothly, but the passenger side mount seems to not be bent right... Anyone else have this problem? Should I try and bend it to match the stock mount tower??? Thanks, Tim
  8. Ditto... Link to them: https://shell7.tdl.com/~jags/Datsun-Z-LS1-V8_Order.html
  9. m1noel: I'm so antsy it aint funny I've got a few days worth of prep work before I can drop it in (pull stock engine, clean up engine bay etc). I read through the JCI install guide last night at work, a little confusing at first, but I should be able to figure it out. The wire monster is waiting for me VinhZXT: I knew that Fparts were good people to do business with so I just went with them. I'll be sending you some more PM's concerning some wiring in the next week or so hehe.
  10. Stirick: I bought my LS1/T56 pull out off of Ebay from a seller named Fparts. They were great to work with ! I bought the package for $4,699 + shipping (Engine, trans, pcm, wiring harness, MAF, and all bolt on parts). Slammed68: I'll be using my stock 280z tank, which will be boiled and recoated. The 280z tank will also have weld in bungs attached to it for the feed and return hoses. A 1/2" (-8an) ss braided hose for the feed line. I will be using the high flow fuel pump from JCI. The fuel lines will be ran along the top of the firewall to a Aeromotive FP regulator, then to the fuel rail. A 3/8" (-6an) ss braided hose will be used for the return line. I got the ideas by looking through some of the member's galleries on here. Check out 1 tuff z's gallery. He had a lot of helpful pics for myself
