pretty much any media player should play it. I am not sure what compression it uses but you might need a codec. if you download it and try to play it and it doesent work it should promt you to get the correct codec and most players will download it for you. yes that skyline is incredible. did they mess with the gearing? it is still amazing if they did, but if thoes are stock ratios and they are flying through the gears that fast...all I can say is wow. I wonder how much power it takes to lift the front tires coming out of a corner on a stiff suspensioned 3000lb-ish car. incredible. thanks for post it

In the post he says the motor is stock so it is 205hp for a redtop if I remember correctly. the 2700lbs is what an s13 240sx weighs, the z weighs 2000lbs. but even at that weight I cant see it as being in the 12s with the stock sr20.

I dont know about that... 200hp and 2700lbs, sounds more like mid 14s to me. That quote is from the thread by the way. A Z with an sr20 would prolly get decently into the 13s I would imagine. quite a bit of weight savings.

I have to agree, SF is my favorite city. So beautiful. It is truly amazing. The architecture is awesome too, they fit so much in such little space. I love it. Hmm I think I will have to make another trip over there soon.

sounds like you are maxing out to me. time for an E housing man. or if you dont want to go to another turbo you could just do efficiency upgrades. Stand alone computer and a better intercooler would be your next best bet.

the power increase isnt very impressive until about 6k rpm. this unit is also only running 6psi for a 100hp gain. why not just turbo it? the power would come on no later with a turbo in this case. plus the turbo is more efficient due to no parisitic loss. seems like the sc does well and isnt designed for low end tq like most blowers. I still think a turbo would be a better choice but the sc did suprise me quite a bit.

im specificly looking for a 240z though. they are quite a bit harder to find than 280zs. I like the no smog and the much lighter starting weight.

I saw them last night but the pic is gone now, I think they were 180* headers IIRC. 180* headers basically give a v8 better exhaust scavenging which increases the velocity of the exhaust flow. velocity = torque, so a nice set of 180* headers will pull a good bit of extra tq out of a motor.

I was thinking omg this movie is going to drag on forever towards the end. but then all was good when I found out it had 2 parts. the movie itself is execellent. it is like no other movie I have ever seen. I dont know about supercharging an s2000. I think you pick one and stick with it...low end tq or high end hp. a nice big turbo would be nice but then again I would settle for some nice screaming indivitual throttle bodies, a header and sporty exhaust. I also dont think you could get a supercharger to flow right from down low all the way to 9k. just my 2c.

the 432R is a Z owners wet dream. 4 valves (per cyl) 3 carbs, and 2 cams. an incredible machine. the r version also has a special racing suspension and most of the body is fiberglass IIRC. oh also an interesting tid bit they dident have spare tire wells, quite odd looking if you are used to a regular Z. and yes wait for HLS30 to post on this...he knows everything about this car.

well first how much power are you looking to put down? I am pretty sure unless you are running insane amounts of tq, a t5 out of a 280zx will be fine. I would be more worried about your rear end and half shafts than the tranny.

I have a gaming mag wherein they went to polyphony's (the game maker) headquarters in japan. they showed all the processes of making the game, from getting the dimensions of the cars to the sounds. they had quite an impressive parking lot as well. anyway, they showed pics of the real tracks next to pics of the tracks ingame and it was incredible. pretty life like game. they said they took some huge number of photos of every track to get info from. I cant wait, the car list is amazing. a few cars for anyone to be interested in. my friend will be in love with this game because of the volvos and mercedes they have on that list.

its possible but the question is do you have the $$$ to do it? there is a guy on this board who has this done actually. he has a white 510 with a 3.0 l28 stroker and a t-56. you should ask him. his name is sss510 or somthing of that nature. thoes trannys are really heavy though I wouldent think they are needed. 5 gears are enough if you ask me. oh and welcome to the board

holy shoot that is one badass z31. I bet some people think the hoodscoop is fake too and will race it thinking its some sort of rice car. I would love to see the expression on their face when they see the zoomies spitting fire as the z31 smokes 'em like they are standing still.
