  1. Heh, I always enjoy your posts braap. What is you guys take on a single TB manifold. Is there a very big advantage to the Azcar TB location, (in the middle facing towards the head)? Ive been thinking about a manifold that curves up slightly (simliar to James Thagards old TT intake manifold) and has a throttle body in the middle facing the fender. It seems to me like this would be the best place for the TB as it would help distribute air to each cylinder more evenly. Also for those of you looking to make your own mainfolds I foudn a rather neat site called Ross Machine racing. Nice plenum stock (although a bit thick) in addition to air horns, runners, fuel rail stock etc. Im hoping to get some flanges cut in the next couple weeks, there is a water jet place right down the street. I just need to get through finals so i can have some time to sit down and draw them up. Ross Machine Racing: http://www.rossmachineracing.com/index.htm
  2. Well you keep tuning away! Btw RonTyler, that is a absolutly gorgeous flange youve made up. I gotta get to work on mine shortly.
  3. U guys should stop arguing and just put turbos on your cars I havent touched my head, my cam, my intake, or my exhaust manifold.
  4. Those frame rails look great to me! Dont see any rust there. My car has been in at least one accident. That tranny mount is looking pretty sketch though Ill give him that. Overall looks like a nice car though.
  5. I love the stock headlight bucket put in the YZ flares.... But i figure youve already thought about this and tossed it. You can get fiberglass buckets that would be "easy" to mold in. They were on the 240z's in 70 and 71 I believe, maybe 72 but not sure.
  6. You should have brought it to me Youre only about an hour away. Ive been doing the same thing on matt's car, just about finsihed. Sorry to hear about your dealings with that guy. My friend bought a "turbo kit" from him. Looked pretty sketch to me with a N/A ECU but i dont think he had any negitive issues.
  7. KD's run extremely small, a 225 looks like a 205. I wasnt too impressed with mine, huge waste of money as they are very expensive. They are like glass at the dragstrip, but perhaps they are good on a road course i dunno...
  8. Spal make an AWESOME unit, has a little sending unit yo screw into the thermostat housing that grounds the cricuit at the desired temp. Comes with super nice wireing, relay etc. -Austin
  9. Why cant somebody just make a lo profile 16' tire, Damn all these people with there 17's and 18's. I mean hell they make tires for 26" wheels. I cant express my frustration enough. Looks good though
  10. I may be interested, Im kinda looking for a shell Fairlady would definitly be a plus. Please send some pictures to twiistedsixx@gmail.com
  11. Will what year gsxr are you talking about. i am very interested in looking into a setup like this. I was planning on making a run of "regular" manifolds over xmas break, but the idividual TB idea is definitly tempting.
  12. I like dark metallic blues, but i think jsut about my all time favorite color is PURE WHITE. Some people may disagree, but i think it is one of hte most elegant colors you can paint a car with. Im a big fan of the midnight blue on the bmw m3 also
  13. I ran 13.0 with 5 cylinders with around 250 hp on a open r200 diffy and street tires... this was in a car that weighed 2650 lbs, and a 2.1 60' i believe. So his number seem right on to me even a little slow. But this is all off topic, Why pick on the ugly duckling?
  14. Yea and in such a case I think you would be talking some major money. If you notice mine are one piece. If you wanna run r compound or drag radials, 16's arent so bad. You can buy hoosiers in 275's and victoracers in 265's, I think toyo makes a 265 as well. Mickey thompson makes a 255/50/r16 DR's that what i will be running for the drag strip. But if your putting down any power 245's street tires SUCK
  15. Okay so its been forever since I posted anything about matt's car. mostly because we havent bene working on it till recently. Been busy with school. Made a good bit of progress though this weekend, thought i would post up some pictures. Most of the SDS is installed turbo and downpipe are done. Should be running by Thanksgiving.... Heres the downpipe, it was my first project with the TIG. Its made useing a 2.5-3" transition from ATP turbo, along with 3" aluminized mandrals. Painted with eastwood hightemp exhaust paint... Here is some wiring inside. Its still not done but its getting there, you can see the painless fuse box, a stand alone keyswitched circuit for EMS and fuel puel etc. Still needs some cleaning up but its getting there. Excuss the dirtyness its been sitting in my shop collecting dust. jsut thought i would share.
  16. Beautiful! I think this is an excellent swap. 300zx's make very comfortable daily's
  17. Talk to 240z_master if you want a set, they come on a slow boat from japan so it takes a while. They are actually resonably priced compared to most "name brand" wheels these days such as volk, work, ccw, etc. Jsut 16" size sucks big ones if you want the R's
  18. Hey, You can get the circuit breakers from autozone for a resonable price. I run them on my electric fans. They click open if things get to hot and then when the switch cools it closes the circuit back. Nice looking work warren!
  19. Im pretty sure thats the way the modern motorsports CV's fit on the car. They just BARELY clear with the struts reversed. I have to coax mine in when installing them. However I have checked for binding through travel and put a few hard miles on the car without any issues whatsoever.
  20. Im not at work so i figured it couldnt hurt... and yes i agree some goth chicks are hot, until they get depressed and try to kill themselves
  21. HAHAHHHAAHA, I was scared to open this post.... Thanks for the ummm compliment?
