  1. Just look at mine in my website. Ive had the L88 on all of my Z cars. You need to order the biggest one they have. There are two sizes I think. It looks great but you need flare to accent it. CorZette
  2. Hey Pound, definately go with the Polymer Gear. I have a steel Roller as well and it ate my stock gear to shreds in about 3 to 4 days. I have had the Polymer gear on there now for almost two years with little or no wear. A GREAT investment. Not to mention possibly saving your engine. Youll freak when you first feel it. It looks and feels like PLASTIC. Doesnt make any sense how it works but it does.... Terry
  3. Well I just got out last January after 22 years in the Marine Corps. I could have taken First Sergeant to stay another two years but would have wound up right back over there again. Bottom line is they will keep you as long as they need you. "STOP LOSS" goes into effect when ever they want to keep you. Theres nothing you can do to stop it. However yearly rotations are in effect. That means you go home take leave and then become redeployable. I am assuming you are inthe Army so your chances may be less than mine were. We only have about 175,000 Marines and we are the first to fight. All Im saying is that you may be luckier than I was since the Army has a much higher number. The Marine Corps is like a six man football team in a B school. Everybody can quarter back and recieve and everyone plays all sports just because we are so few. Good Luck What is your MOS? MRES are much better now than 10 years ago. I still like the old sea rats better. CZ
  4. Good job! I hope you dont break anymore shafts. I have 4 or 5 I will give you if you need them. Im eyeing those billet stubs from Ross. At $600 plus bucks Ill have to save for awhile....hope to come to Ennis in the Spring. Terry
  5. Been there done that. Two tours to Iraq...sucked arse both times. Come back safe... CZ
  6. Nope, never seen him nor I have seen him at the track... CZ
  7. Damn Mike, hope everything works out. I finally got used to the convertor. What a difference. The GTech says I do 0-60 in 3.53 seconds....does that sound possible? Dunno but it sure does run lots better than before. Its almost like we have one long gear thru 4th.... Terry
  8. What kind of car does he drive? Whats his name? I know alot of people here... Terry
  9. BTW the below new times were on a broken gas pedal. My normal mileage is around 90 in the 1/8th and 114 in the 1/4. Im sure she would have been in the 11s. cant talk trash just have to wait till spring...then theres that NOS shot waiting! Terry
  10. Ennis sounds great! Keep me posted Mike. Ill be ready. I found a trailer I can use and I can get a few others to come up to..... cant wait till spring... Terry

  13. Man! What a difference a convertor makes. Well it started out to be a great night. I heated up the tires and lined up. I stalled the the convertor to 2300 and floored it on the light. What a launch...I hit a 1.67 60 the first try. I also lightened up the rear strut setting to 1 vice 5. I zoomed down the quarter to run a 7.68 1/8 at 88.50 and the 1/4 in 12.1 at 109.60...What? 109??? I ran a 12.31 at 114 last time out with the 2800 stall. Wait theres more....after investigation I noticed that my secondary butterflies were not fully open at full throttle...doh!!!! I just ran a 12.1 at 109 doing 5 MPH slower and 2 tenths faster. Well it gets worse. I tighten the throttle cable to make more opening power and SNAP....the damn accel pedal snaps in half. It was weak to start with from bending it here and there but I didnt think it was that bad. Well I wonder what I would have ran if the secondaries were fully opened. I estimate a 11.8 or 9 anyway. I had the NOS already to go 75 shot only but it didnt happen. Damn Im mad, but Ill fix it and be ready for march when they re=open. At least I kn ow now that I will get into the elevens with this damn 350 after all. I had to tie a string to the cable and use my hand to accel...a little scary to say the least. I must get a trailer! Mike thanks for sharing the EDGE info. I love it...major difference! Night! CorZette 12.14 at 109.60 1.67 60 footer
  14. Oh Rah! Thanks brother...229! Semper Z CorZette
  15. NOS question. I run a 1 inch spacer now on my carb. Can I put the NOS plate on top of that or should I remove it all together? CorZette
  16. Thanks Pete! That saves me alot of trouble. I know what you mean about taking it off the road. I can change my tranny and convertor in a day but I dont really want to put in the stroker stuff because itll be down for three months!! Terry
  17. My question is can I buy and install Solid Roller lifters in place of my Hydraulic Roller lifters without changing the cam? I have the retrofit Comp Cams kit. Can I just purchase solid roller lifters for the retrofit without changing my cam? How much more power do Solids make vs Hydraulic? My friend went from 12.45 to 12.17 by changing his setup. Any input???? Im trying to make the 350 as stout as possible before going 383.. Terry
  18. BTW, I just ordered the 700 Mega Raptor level 4 tranny. I cant wait to get started installing. Ill be very solid in that dept for awhile to come. http://www.transmissionhead.com/#Price%20Chart Now do I go NOS or 383 next...decisions....decisions. Terry
  19. Damn thats awesome!!! I cant wait to get in the elevens with the 350 Im sure the 383 will be a blast...be safe on the big end! I should be ready for thr Nov test and tune...will keep all posted on gains... Terry
  20. Well it should be here next week. Mike have you tested the difference yet? Andre says its like night and day. You will definately need some QTPs I think...keep us posted. Im gonna do the swap in a day if UI can and get to the track before they close next month... Terry
  21. LOL...I hear ya. I ordered the Converter today so Hoosier QTPs may be next. Ill see what improvement comes from the battery switch in traction....more to come Im sure. Terry
  22. Thanks for the info. I was not wanting to change the front tires personnaly either for that reason. However I do notice that when I have a full tank of gas I get better traction. The battery weighs what 50 pounds or so? It should help with that factor at least by relocating it to the back. Terry
  23. Mike, thanks..Im all over it. I will order tomorrow... 542 is hard to beat Cant wait to get it in.... Let me know how she feels.. Terry
  24. I also found this.. The Yank 9" Super Thruster is a hard hitting version of the Super Yank 3500. We take the competition-bred 9" converter housing and bring the efficiency up to Super Yank standards with a proprietary stator. This means you'll get a 3500 stall converter with high efficiency, but with a much harder hit to the tires at the starting line. This converter is a logical step up for individuals wanting something a little more aggressive than the traditional Yank 3000, but don't want to go to a full race converter. http://www.fasttoys.net/yank.html Terry
  25. Mike I have 800 bones to spend. I would like to get a battery relocation kit and a 3500 convertor. What does this look like? Is TPI a worthy manufacturer? Can you give me the place where you got your convertor? 700R4 3500 STALL PERFORMANCE CONVERTER NONLOCKUP TPI22-35$619.95 SPLINES: 30 Terry
