When swapping in a 280zx turbo driveline with a BWT-5 does the driveshaft need to be shortened. If so how did you guys go about it.

Yasin, i have been thinking about a daily driver. Would you recommend the ae86. How reliable are they and how well do they hold up to modifications. And what did you make your rear strut bar out of i would like to see some pics. John

Ive always had good luck with dunlops. Had a set of sp8000 handled great and had good tread wear. Got some 225-50-16 yokohama avs intermediates- zr rated at a blowout sale, all i can say is worst tire ever, only had 8,000 miles on them and they were dead.

Also where did you get that cusco strut bar, thats nice, do they make them for the rear. How much rigidity do they add.

Yasin do you notice a vast improvement over the supra intercooler you were using, what kind of boost were you running with that ic. Also how hard was it to relocate your maf and intake.

Might want to check out best motoring hot version they have about 10 mins of track time with the SPRIRIT GARAGE s30. Do they sell parts for the z?

Actually i just picked up a game informer mag and it had some screen shots of gt4. I saw a 240 zg in there along with a old trueno. Any body ever play initial d, does it have any z's in it. Also i was thinking about buying wangan midnight- jap version for ps2, but isnt tokyo extreme racer the same game for 30 bucks cheaper.

Hey saabs are great cars. My dad has a 97' 9000 aero, its fast and handles like no other. But the z has alot more tuning options and its rear wheel drive. But the saabs sure are nice. On the side for choices i'd say go whatever is easier to get. Here in wisconsin you dont come by many z cars.

If its a car you plan on keeping take it to a good body shop. One you have done business with before and you know they will do it right.

Hopefully i'll have mine done soon. most likely not though this will most likely be an ongoing project for better performance as i get the money.

Your right in the fact that you can make one bad z with 16 grand. But its a diferent kind of market with lexus buyers. Me myself i see no need to buy a new car when i can already improve the one i have, the z. Besides with 16 grand i could make a z alot more fun to drive than a is300 swap. Besides why do that when you kind find cars alot better with a lower price. My father picked up a 1997 saab 9000 for 5grand handles great and does 0-60 in 6.2sec and the quarter in 14.8. For another 20 grand this car and the z could easily outperform the IS300. I just don's see peoples thinking either(not to offend anyone) but why waste so much money when it doesnt make it all that great. But it still would be a sleeper, but you would still cost you a total of 40,000 dollars +.

Yes i did say spirit actually i said sprite, but i meant spirit. You think it looks good you should see how it performs. I have the best motoring hot version vol. 59 2002, they have abount 10 mins. of track time. I pulled about the same track times as a 550 horsepower skyline, rx7 and silvia s15. J do you know of any websites with info on it.

I saw a japanese s30 with triple solex carbs that made alot of power. I plan to someday own a 240 and have a na build up, would the solex carbs be better than mikuni's or webers. As of now i have a turbo build up, but just thinking what to do when i get my next z. John

As for my body work i havent started yet, im saving money so i can get all the parts i need and get it done pretty quick. Hopefully by the end of summer. And the turbo motor in by winter.

Yeah the main reason i want them is because wide flares look bad ass. Has anyone seen the sprite garage s30 it has some huge flares.

I have a region 3 dvd and would like to play it on a region 1 dvd player. Is there a way to change the regional setting on the dvd. Thanks, John

Thats a pretty nice z. It has many small changes that are subtle but make the car look better. Know how much he's asking for it.

What are the best fender flares out there. I want to run around 255/45/15 and not have them rub. I have looked at the imsa flares but they seem too wide, but i am not sure. Does any one have experiance with these or the motorsport street flares with these size tires. Thanks John

To me they look like they came off a 84-87 300zx non-turbo or a maxima. I think the 300z had a four lug hub, but not sure about the maxima.

You would have to have the whole car repainted. You would have to take it to an autobody shop to have them mix the metallic in with the base coat and clear over it. My father owns a auto body shop, which hopefully i will be able to takeover soon, but if you mixed the metallic in with the clear that would make for one crappy paint job and alot of buffing. Best advice would be to take it to good body shop pic a color and have them write a estimate to paint the whole car.

Len what kind of auctions do you go to, they must be good ones. Me and my father go to insurance auto auctions, and the best things that have gone through there were a supra tt, a 300ztt that went for 1500, and a nsx going through this week, all recked of course but fixable.

No kidding that jersey guy must be one damn good driver.
