  1. My dads saab 9000 aero can roast the tires in first and second. In first the tires will break loose around 10 mph when the boost comes on.
  2. What size are the rear tires. They dont look that big in the pic, but werent they something like 295's.
  3. Thanks alot. I look foward to the next issue. John
  4. I know. The problem is coming up with the money. The guy says he will let me sell the Vette' to pay off the rest of the cars. He is an old friend of my fathers, he is about 65 and says he just cant take care of them properly and he doesnt want them to rot away. He also says we can have a triumph tr7 that isnt so hot and a cadillac talisman for free! He's a pretty cool guy, he has a studabaker avante with a 400 hp 350 in it. But the only cars I want are the velo rossa and his other z car. Also does any body have any information on the kits that were manufactured about ten years ago. Thanks, John and hopefully I will have the velo rossa in my garage by the weekend, if all go's well.
  5. Yes the 10k$ includes all cars. The kit looks to be made very well. It does not have the full tilt hood but it has fiberglass fenders and a front nose piece that works with a regular hood. The rear end looks like a regular velorossa kit. The rear quarter windows are filled in and have an different interior panel to cover that area. It also has a different dash but datsun gauges and different bucket seats. John
  6. SportZ2. I recieved a letter that says I have only one issue left untill my subscription expires, but so far I've only received 2 issues. I believe it is because I missed one season of the issue when I subscribed. I just want to make sure I will be gettin my Spring 04 issue. I would like to clear this up and look forward to the next issue. Thanks, John
  7. Sounds like it could be the ecu. If you have a circuit tester, you can test the power going to the pump with that. You may want to check the engine for spark, if the engine doesent produce any spark, it most likely is the ecu.
  8. Thanks for the advice guys. I have a chance to buy the car in a package with a 76' vette and another 76' zcar that is stock. He starting price is $10,000. He just wants to see the cars go to a good home. They have been siting in his drive way for 5years. Thanks, John
  9. Hey guys. I have a question. I have a chance to buy a completed velo rossa kit on a 280z. It is totally finished, including paint. It just needs some motor work. What is a reasonable price. Thanks, John
  10. Two of my favorites are Brad D's car, and my friends rx-3 with a rx-7 turbo II motor. Sorry no pics.
  11. No that is a 240z owned by a japanese tuning shop called Spirit Garage. The company makes parts for Z's, but they're very expensive. The car in the pic is set up for road race and has a l24 with tripple solex carbs. John Len buy the 323 yet.
  12. The car was probably only putting out a little over the stock horsepower, when my dad decided to display how big of balls this little car had. I just got the car and it had been sitting for a while, my dad dropped the clutch somewhere around 3500 to 4000 rpms, we had beating on the car relentlessly all day, then the fun ended when the axle blew. This was under a very harsh beating though, and with the four wheel drive engaged and on dry pavement. The car lit up all four tires though. But for daily driving and a race every once in a while I think things should hold up pretty well. Over all I think you should get it, they are very fun cars. I have not started prepping it for rally, I still have to get my license. But after my senior year of highschool, its off to Tim O'neil rally shcool for me. This has been my dream for so long, Ive always wanted to participate in the club or pro rally, who would think I would do it in a mazda 323 though. Good luck with the car John
  13. Buy It! I have one that I will most likely be setting up for SCCA pro rally. I picked it up for 275 bucks, from my dad who got it at an insurance auto auction. I love when rare cars go threw there, the lack of knowledg on these rare cars cause them to go cheap! They are pretty rare mine is the only one I've seen in the milwaukee area, but I've seen about 5 or 6 in the SCCA pro rally. I wanna set mine up to be serious contender in the SCCA pro rally. Since the cars are hard to find, so are the parts, if you dont wanna spend a fortune. I blew a rear axle on the one I have, which was very expensive. So expect some things that are unique to the GTX to be expensive. You may also want to see if the differntials are working properly and the differential lock. Other than that I see nothing wrong with these cars. John
  14. What is a good spring rate with coilovers for a dual purpose setup. John
  15. S30Bushido what bumper do you have on your z? Is that from a fairlady z? John
  16. I've always wanted a m6, how much did you pick it up for.
  17. It just looks too long with the gnoes and being a 2+2, but still a very nice car.
  18. Those flares are custom made. The car they are on is a 240z from a japanese race shop called Spirit Garage, they may make flares, but I dont it, and if they did they would be hard to get. John
  19. Same thing here. My dad owns a auto body shop, he helps me out and I help him out. It really helps alot to get along with your parents. And your definitely right about a project car being cheaper than a new car. Except if your Mike , just kidding mike. I plan to do the l28et swap, already have the donor thank god, I plan on using coilovers with tokico or koni struts, front 4x4 toyota calipers with vented discs and rear 240sx rear brakes, with pretty much the whole drive line from the zxt. I'd like to hear some other people plans for your cars. John Oh yeah for money just buy stuff cheap and sell it for a profit, and do sidejobs if you have the knowledge.
  20. I remember a week or two ago someone posted the ebay listing here and thought it was a scam because it went so cheap. I guess it isnt. Nice car anyway, what are your plans for it.
