  1. Dang the thought of owning an RB scared em off haha
  2. If your gonna bust your butt doing an engine swap you might as well go 25. They are a really good value and accept tuning very well. The RB20 is cheaper but is older. Remember, there is no replacement for displacement...
  3. If problems still persist you could try to run a radiator with the inlet/outlet on the same side. Theres one you can get from an 83' 200sx that fits the z and has them on the same side. its cheaper then getting a custom one. I found one at the junk yard for $20 bucks and it seems to be doing the trick.
  4. Hey careless you still gonna launch your RB30 site? I know its not related but Ive always seen it in your sig and cross my fingers everytime I click it haha Think long and hard before you sell your RB30 set up, I wish I had one laying around
  5. Finally got my HKS SSQV. Looks great, works great and sounds great:mrgreen: HKS is pretty damn pricey but they sure put out some quality products. Ill put up a vid later of. I also put in my gauges that Ive had for a while and changed out the cigarette lighter in favor of a shift light.
  6. I have my cooling fan zip tied to the FMIC piping to get the car drivable.
  7. Ahh no. Lame. Oh well there goes that idea haha. Thanks for the info good sir!
  8. Ive seen a few cars with historical plates and I think they look real cool and different. I was wondering if I could get these for my 1975 280z. Anyone try doing this before?
  9. Got some new gauges, now I just got to install them.
  10. I didnt know that, now I do feel stupid Thanks careless for clearing up that little conundrum.
  11. Im running this fuel pump and I have no fuel regulator. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=SUM-G3138&N=700+4294925239+4294839053+4294836965+400304+115&autoview=sku The car seems to run fine, do I need a fuel regulator?

  13. I think Garret makes most parts, if not all of, the HKS turbos. Meaning that they are pretty much the same hardware wise. My deciding factor would be availability and price.
  14. I like the look of the muffler personally, however right now its not really proportional to the car if you get what I mean haha. Itll look a lot sleeker when I get a 240z rear bumper and some off set wheels with ZG flares, the rear tires are tiny right now, looks funky. No sense in buying big ol' expensive tires when Im planning on getting some off sets soon though. My philosophy is get it running then work out the details. Ive been working on it for almost exactly a year at this point, was strapped for cash for a while so it took a bit longer then it should have. All my friends and neighbors went "ohhhhhhh" when they heard it running and saw it in action for the first time. I dont know if you guys experienced this but everyone outside of Hybridz thought I was just wasting my time building this thing, now they understand:mrgreen:
  15. Heres a vid of the exhaust note. I dont have it registered yet and stuff so I cant really do any speedy runs yet:frown: comment and rate it if you think it sounds good haha. On a side note, I ordered an Auto Meter Sport Comp in-dash 160mph Speedometer to match my tach, should get here soon. I also put in an order for an HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve, but they are currently on back order from HKS so I have to wait a few weeks which kinda sucks...
  16. Heres a quick little exhaust note vid I made.
  17. Been driving it around the block about a million and a half times because its not fully registered yet. It sounds amazing and accelerates pretty nice. Havent got it full throttle or 5th gear yet though...
  18. Yep, I have a 1975 280z with an RB25 swap with McKinney mounts and it works great. You do have to do a little modification and cut off the stock tranny ears. Click on my link below for pic and ask if you need a better one.
  19. My ECU came in from JDM Miami today and it started right up. Tomorrow I'm gonna sort out all the loose ends and get her road worthy. Im gonna try to get a vid of the exhaust note and what not up.
  20. My ECU finally came in the mail today after a long week of waiting. Ill get more up later, hopefully a vid of her running. Started right up after I forgot that I had taken out one of the spark plugs so I could get the part number for a new set and forgot to put it back in haha. Its too dark out right now to troubleshoot so I dont want to take any chances, just started it for a ten seconds or so. But I got her to start:razz:
  21. Yeah Im just waiting on the ecu i ordered and BOV. The wait is killing me!
  22. sweet thats good news, yeah I was thinking of Calexico and got them mixed up. Custom is the way to go since you know someone that can fab some for you. Good luck. The RB20 is a bit heavier then the L engine.
  23. Ahh I remember now. It was on cardomain. I left a comment on your page. Good stuff man.
  24. Want any fish with those fried chips? If your ECU is dented in even a little make sure you check it, it will short out.
  25. Well sorted out some problems, however the computer I had was dented in a bit. Just so happened to be touching the circuit board and fried it. Opened it up and its wasted. Anyone happen to have an RB25 V.2 Computer? EDIT* bought one off ebay for $150
