Whats the date? Also I need the address again! I'd luv to go to the show!! just need 2 finish my intercooler set up and the boost control. Its kinda a pain in the butt!! I dont know which line is which? I only see one line comming off my acuator. I dont wanna start cutting up line's and jack it up!! LOL

Has any one installed this type of boost control yet? I just picked up mine and it came with out the dam instructions!! I did a quick search and was tryin to find a picture install of it, but didnt find one. Sorry about the dumb post but im out on the car right now and im tryin to get it done b4 dark!! Thanx

Hows it going everyone. Im in the middle of a turbo eng swap on my 75 280. I was just wondering if there is anybody near the Whidbey Island Wa area that has done this swap. I've read about how to do the swap and and seen the sticky on how to do the wireing harnass. Unfortunatly im not much of an electrician and would like to have an eyes on example of a completed set up. I already have a complete 81 turbo car that I will be using for the transplant!! Thank you!!

If i do this swap what am i looking on gaining? What parts will i need to pull from the doner car, and i bet there is a write up on this in here. I did couple of searches...bu to no avail. Yep its from the auto tranny, i just swapped mine not to long ago and plugged that up also. Had to get a plug from ACE hardware! plug it up good or your RPM will drop. Mine did until i plugged it up good.

Hey bud, Ill give u a stright answer. Since some people wanna dont have on. I tried to find some also and had a little luck. I found one at a junk yard and was in good shape. And since I am a little bit anal i wanted to find another onebut could not. I took 2 from a coupe and cut them down to size. I used gorilla glue to keep them together and brushed on some silver paint. When it dried up i went over it with some scotch brite and it came out pretty nice. sorry i dont have any pics. but iif u go slowly and let everything dry up right. I promise u it will work. Oh a vice might come in handy to hold it 2gether. If u do it let me know how it went. Ill try to get a pic of it but its kinda hard to see the fix. Good Luck

Just picked up a nice 6/75 280z. Its rinning rich and was wondering, how can i stop it from from doing that? I did a complete tune up and adjusted the Idle to factiory setting. 800rpm. Thats all I did to it. Any pointers or ideas will be great. Oh Id also like to get my hands on a FSM for my year. Does anyone know a good site to order one from? Thanx guys. Much appreciated! W

Well i just picked up a 75 280z for 1500$ and my 44 mag super black hawk!!! This car is in such sweet shape, im thinking of pulling my turbo eng out of my 81zxt and selling the body. This is gonna be a tough decision. My question is, Id like to keep the stock gauges on the 75. Will the harnass form my 81zxt mount up to the gauges or will I have to do some rewireing? I tried to search but didnt find anything. Maybe im not usint the right key words?? Any help would be appreciated. Or if some one has a link on how to do it. Thanx a bunch.

i did the auto swap to manual on my 81zxt. LUV IT!!! I recommend it!!

Is the ecu from a 81 turbo different than the ecu from an 82 or 83? I got rid of my auto and slapped a 5 speed from a 79. Im asking becuz im wondering if there is any difference in speed or rpm drop when shifting?

Well I still didnt install the cas but, she still runs... I was checking the vacume lines and other soft lines and found something that the PO failed to tell me about. On the top of the valve cover theres that tube that comes out of it. Is that supposed to spin? LOL I dont think so, but mine does. It looks like the PO tried to do a rebuild and went the cheep way and in a rush. So i guess im going to have to do sum digging into this motor. If it was an n/a engine i'd probably got rid of it. But it seems llike turbo engines are gettin hard to find. Sorry i didnt take any pics of it yet but ill try to get sum on here soon. If any one needs some parts give me a holler. I might just part this thing out once I inspect all the parts. Dont wanna send out any bad ones and get baged on in here...LOL

It is running with out the caz, but really s#!tty. When i rev it up it sputters then revs up good then when it idles down it takes a whlie to get down to 800rpm. I have a cas that im gonna try to hook up.

I recently got my hands on another 81 zxt. My question is...how would it run with out the CAS installed?

Well this being my 1st Z I didnt know that the n/a stuff would not all match the 81 turbo stuff. Well actually just the drive shaft. I had a transmission shop look one up for me cuz by that point I was pissed that i could finish up and drive the dam thing...LOL:tongue:. It is slow off the line but top end is good. I kept the rear diff in on the 81 turbo, I have the 79 n/a diff sitting in my garage. So from what i gather...it would be better to have the 5 speed from an 82 0r 83 turbo vice the 79 n/a? Oh ya.....I got lucky this week and im getting another 81 turbo. Black and gold!!! 500 $ Runs good just needs sum tlc!! Now i have a white and black one! LOL EBONY AND IVORY!!
