  1. My sister just had to go to court for 45 in a school zone. I really think she was going that fast as she tends to have a lead foot:icon56:. Anyways, in the court room the best thing to do is to have examples such as layouts or poster boards or whatever ways to show you put time into proving your point, instead of being ignorant and claiming vocally against the cops written statement (has higher authority). Finally, dress to impress(Wink wink) instead of showing up like a punk kid in a white T.
  2. Same problem for me on a 06 tundra. They said factory amp was in left rear door panel... Later after searching finding it under the pasenger seat:icon56: Then I did a little amp bypass and it was up and running.
  3. My graphic design teacher is making the class have an individual video for each student and gave us the software. I was wondering if I could get permission and the link to anyone who wants their videos and props for their rides. Preferring 30sec max vids... to be mixed in -Thanks
  4. I personally rarely see twin turbo v8's at the track and when you do it is . So of course I would love to see you do a TT if the budget is there. The size generally is not a problem with 350's and smaller though anything larger in most cases requires some moving. But with turbos more room is probably better so if it were up to me I would do a TT 350. Good Luck.
  5. HAHAHAHA that looks like the blower I have to blow up an air matress.
  6. I have so much trouble trying to figure out which kit is which. I love the look of this front with the flares. For future reference it would be really nice if someone helped me out. Thanks:burnout:
  7. My dad used this on a caddy he just worked on. It is a rather large bottle and we got it at Schucks. Not the cheapest but he was reccomended it. http://www.gunk.com/prod_photo.asp
  8. I have heard an average 16 to about 21 year old is around 1600 a year on average. I guess I will expect these numbers and see what is quoted. I guess now I see how it hits people hard being that is more than half my paycheck a month if it were monthly lol
  9. I will not get my own car til a year or so after I turn 16 (legal age here)as my brother is 2 years older and we will be sharing a toyota pickup until he leaves the house. Though a project is highly possible (just wondering as I have things I would like but whether or not it is reasonable atleast now is my reason for asking, I will ask our agent though just to make sure.)
  10. So with state farm like we have what price range would you expect per year? 1300-1600
  11. To me I like it more than the 350z with its agressive look of the gtr that everybody tended to love, hence motortrend car of the year. Though I do not like the new front headlights and I feel the rear end has a to soft and rounded rear end (especially the wing)throwing off the whole sharp aggresive lines started in the front. Once again all opinion based. I have shown on the pic what I mean with a few tweaks though no wing on as I like it without , just my opinion
  12. I have been searching the forums and could not find any so I thought I should ask? With either a project z coming soon or an already restored z soon as my first car I have a question. How is insurance with it being a 2 door and 2 seater makes me wonder if that counters the age of the car which normally keeps insurance lower? Just wondering as a 240z has been my dream car for the last couple years and parents are liking the price range as they don't want me to spend all the money I have earned working:rolleyesg Any help or predictions would be nice, I live in WA and have drivers ed under my belt, no tickets or anything like that.
  13. Here is another question... When you guys repair rust do you have your own mig welder and die grinder, other set ups, or have somebody more experienced do it. I think learning to use a mig welder would be very useful in many cases and would I probably like to go and take some classes?
  14. Alright thanks for all the help... With my dad always pushing me to a nova or more muscle car (Some of his friends at work go on friday nights) maybe a v8 swap would be a great way to get him really excited for this project. He has worked on a few cars in his life (mostly body restoration) as far as carbs and stuff but he has never gone deep into the block of a car. Another thing that keeps him interested in the 240z is the price ranges on 240z's appeal more to him then the classics he was looking at. In other words, leaving more money for the project then just getting the car. We'll see, a lot of things change in a couple months but I will keep all of you updated. http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/705726762.html lol pretty cool
  15. It all started out when me and my dad wanted to work on a car when I would turn 15. Then it was just an idea and within the last 2 years we have agreed to do so with me turning 15 in a month. Recently we both are about 80% commited to an early 70's 240z.I have been an avid car lover my whole life and this is a big step up from just watching my dad and friends work on cars (their into the whole honda thing but it does not really appeal to me). Along with this possible project are some questions I would have.... ~Where I live their is a large amount of car theft ( mostly hondas and acuras but overall a large amount of cars) and with this being an older car I wanted to know if a new system if there is one at all should be installed? ~Does the stock engine put up some fairly decent numbers that I could have fun with or should we try to go along an educational roller coaster with a swap? ~Are parts and body panels easy acess or require scavenging? ~ Finally what should I look for and avoid in these models? Thanks a lot, any info is helpful
