  1. I'm glad I got one off ebay acouple days ago. I wasn't really looking for one but it was there and I grabbed it, good timing I guess.
  2. http://www.performancecar.co.nz/news/5900/r-i-p-s-stop-just-short-of-sevens/gallery/3 My new background
  3. How do the 30 rods compare to the 26's? Much beefier or the same? Thats really impressive to see that the 30 bottom end can take that power. Makes me think about my setup...
  4. Damn, so the bottom end is stock??? WOW
  5. Congrats! 7s just right around the corner
  6. Here are the first pics of my 76 280Z after 6 months of it sitting at my work, finally got it over to the shop the other day. Car came from Cali so there is almost no rust anywhere, especially on the underside. There are spots on the bottoms of the doors that someone fixed with bondo but besides that, its a good starting point. Plans are as follows: Built RB26 w/ TH400 Apexi PFC D-Jetro or AEM EMS Custom fuel system Custom FMIC Custom length driveshaft LSD for the R200 rear A few exterior pieces (rims, fender flares, air dam etc) Not sure what I want to do turbo wise yet but I'd like to make around 650whp so probably a 40R or something similar. If something larger is available for a good price, I'll probably go with that over a smaller turbo. I've seen afew T04Rs and HKS T51Rs for sale at good prices and they're good for 900+. Whatever it takes to make over 600 I'm happy because that power in a light RWD setup will be a handfull as is. I'm sure things will change once I get everything going so who knows what might end up in there in the end, we'll see. I hope to order the engine next week, so stay tuned
  7. I'm from about 40 mins north of Philly.
  8. Nice write up Matt I was thinking about what to do with the head porting wise, this helps out ALOT! Just like an EVO/DSM head, you don't have to do much, just a good "cleaning", good to know.
  9. Damn, those Revolution gauges look great! Like they're almost stock.
  10. Oh ok cool. I wasn't sure that the regular aftermarket RB26 manifolds would fit in the S30 engine bay. How did you redo the top flange? Cut it off and reweld it? Was it too close to the valve cover or something?
  11. What exhaust manifold is that? A custom one or an S-tec or something similar?
  12. Just a sign of the times. Every area of motorsports is affected. Hopefully w/n a year or 2 things will start to come back.
  13. I take it you have to remove the entire dash to replace the gauges? If so, is it a tough job or relatively easy?
  14. Its a shame that the WRC is pretty much dead at this point. I started watching back in 00', when Mitsubishi was still in it. There used to be a site called Rallytorrents.com where you could download all the races, its now wrctorrents.com. I usually go and watch afew races on the weekends. I miss the good ol' days though....
  15. I signed up there afew weeks back and have been browsing since. Nice site with good info
  16. Wow, that is some bad casting there. Makes a big difference after you port it out.
  17. The 4B11t is the Evo motor. The Ralliart is the same engine just detuned, which is pretty much what the Genesis is too.
  18. The Genesis is pretty sweet looking for a Hyundai. We might be getting one at the shop if my biz partner trades his EVOX in on one.
  19. That car has been around for awhile, assuming its a red one. If you search Streetfire you find vids of it. Pretty sick project. I'd rock that thing all over the place
  20. Nice looking ride I like the first pic w/ the lights in the background.
  21. Ya I can understand the oil issue. I think even at 22 or so with a good tune you'd be closer to 500. Since I'm still learning the ins and outs of the RB, what is it about the pump that it can't take higher boost?
  22. Were you running pump gas or race? If its pump, I'm sure you could go up to 25 or so w/o a problem. Race should be 30 for that turbo to really open up and make good #s. I'm sure with more tuning, 500+ on pump would be easily done. DSM guys have been doing it for years on stock engines w/ smaller turbos. Surely the RB can make just as much, if not more, with tuning.
  23. I've seen afew online but never on a vendor's site. I'm pretty sure the Konig Rewinds come in gunmetal though. If you get a regular set I'd be happy to coat'em for you if need be .
