  1. just got done rewiring the car, i dont think ill ever rewire a car again without taking it completely apart, im horrible at it and i have the toggles to prove it
  2. if we could get a group rate that would be cool, but for now, id rather not know
  3. if the su system is hard to boost with, why not go with a four barrel holley or a 500cfm two barrell, youll love it.
  4. thats a cool idea, ive thought of that as well, opening up the bonnet area to the engine compartment and closing off the air cleaner to it to make cowl induction, but then i realized, the more horse i start making, the taller the carbed motor gets, so im opting for a cowl hood so i can fit larger things in there.
  5. two 390cfm four barrels would be nice or two 500cfm two bbl
  6. wow, thats nuts, you really could lose that much power through a hot diff like that. makes sense though, is there some way to mount a cooler for the diff, i know there is a dealer option for oen on an r200????
  7. ive heard that a single su works pretty good, or a single four barrell, su's can do the do pretty good i think, just jetting
  8. the movies really are not all that, a little racing and building with long periods of japanese with no subtitles driving me crazy. waaaaaaaaaaanaaaaaaaagonnnamiiiiiiidoniiiite! twwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenturboahhhhhhhhh!
  9. oh wow, that tailight treatment is very nice, very nice i might say. hey could we get some more details about those tailights and how you got the trunk to close?
  10. either way, i think its cheaper to buy the whole kit and use them as you need them.
  11. the white ones are the 17's the watanabes are 15 i think, he runs those rims until the he gets beat by the zx, then he drops in the forged piston l28, fat downpipe and exhaust and those white rims, and gets to kickin zx butt.
  12. you can get spray on bed liner from kragen, or csk auto or grand auto or whatever the local parts store is called in your area, thats what i used on top of the rubber stuff, no dynamat yet however.... the spray is like 7.00 bucks a can, which does not go very far.
  13. the msd is an ecore no vibrations type, the accell is oil filled, no box for me yet...
  14. hey i got both coils right, which one do you think is better in terms of spark, the msd has 45,000 accel has 50,000 currently running msd b2, would accel be an upgrade or would the difference be bearly noticeable? ive heard msd is just that, multiple spark discharge that sparks up the cylinders that arent firing, which is good overall????
  15. sounds good to me, heard good things about the vortec heads.
  16. for overall sound deadening, i would go with the dynomat extreme on top of a nice coated interior and floor, with like a rubberized undercoating or somthing. for the motor ive seen people put a big slab under the hood itself, which looks funny to me because it is reflecty silver. the fire wall and tranny hump are the prime spots to insulate from heat. plopping a couple sheets to the inside of the door panels is pretty easy, and the hatch inside of the tool boxes, and the spare tire well should do the trick, and the secret is that you make gaskets out of this stuff for the rear tailight housings....YAY!
  17. on a street car you will notice the difference no drip rails is cleaner, but yes, it is not as easy as it looks, the roof is kinda sandwiched together and that rail helps hold it together.
  18. go for it, why not. but its not like the z v8 swap lacks any power to weight in the first place, the extra ten to twelve lbs you may save can be made up in other ways, like the jtr says.
  19. the manual trans conversion costs more, but you get a clutch
  20. 100.00 average for motorcycles 150-200 for cars. they are the same thing.
  21. the best source for those doors ive found is motorcycles, and they are about half the price of the same looking car door.
  22. i still think the swap would cost just as much as a corvette irs, we dont really have the great junkyards that the rest of the world is blessed with.
  23. are they tougher looking then the turbo cv shafts?
