  1. theres the infamous goodwrench 350, thats butt cheap and has a warranty.....cmon now, you can find a sbc pretty easy, i think one out of every ten people has one in their garage waiting to be dumped in a very small car....
  2. seats are seats, they dont know where they came from. just grab a set from the jy with as much of the brackets as possible, and bolt them in, some are harder than others... some seat brackets come out with four bolts, like 280z's and integra gsrs, and most hondass.
  3. ever see how a motor torques when you rev it, with the stock mounts you can see it torque around, when the urethanes and drag race shocks, man the whole car torques over, its fresh.... you might have a bumpier ride, but your power comes on right on time!
  4. if you can find the BAE turbo kit, you can convert those to carb pretty easy, since they were meant for na l28 aps, some even have bungs for blow off valves, check out zcar of ebay. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANAAAAAAAAAAAAMIIIIIIIIIIIIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNITE! just had to get that off my chest.
  5. the 5.0 HO is the one to get i think, with the t5, world class or not, they can be had cheaply, i think its cheaper to buy the whole car, get the ugliest one possible and swap guts. crappy examples of the eighties fox body can be found in every corner of the globe.
  6. just build the motor you have, you can get about 200hp, but it aint cheap NA

you cant hate on a double pumper when hes dumpin..
  8. i wanna do the ghost flames, probably will...
  9. yes its me, cheap ass once again. hey i grabbed these four lug 300zx rotors with davy the other day, hub and all, does anyone know what type of spacer would make these fit with the 4x4 swap. the spacer would be different in this case because i do have the 300zx four lug hubs.
  10. the autolite spark plugs have the longest leads, a fact that not many are hip to, a friend of mine has an 11second national that runs those...STRICTLY.
  11. i dont think there is, and if it is different, its not that different, most of it should bolt up, the other stuff you can run direct to trace where it should be installed on the fusebox.
  12. i think that it will work, its not that the inner tie rods are out more, its the outer tierods that are super long, thats an easy one though...
  13. heres the gameplan. ive got three fuseboxs with ten fuse circuits in them each from kragen, im gonna run better relays with inline fuses yo each one, and later on i may switch out the headlight harness, clean out all the corrosion i can, ive counted em, their are a total of about 15 wires i need to cut and splice to do this, before i ever attempt the headlght harness, which i dont want to do just yet, all the in car wiring is already laid out, the best part about this setup is its only gonna cost me 4 dollars.
  14. ill volunteer for the test, someone freeze me up some r200 half shafts, bottom mount, mustache bar, and a ring and pinion, and i promise to drop the hammer like a madman, then we'll see.
  15. my favorite was when i discovered that the previous owner mixed up the driveshft bolts with two of the steering coupler bolts, sheared two of them clean in half. pretty cool huh
  16. the push button ignition at kragen fits in your pocket.
  17. no, the msa hdlight will not fit gnose, the gnose extends the headlight extensions, msa the zdriver.com shop has them, but they are bucks.
  18. i wanted to go sleeper, but wangan midnite showed me otherwise...
  19. i really dont think it would be cheaper to run draw thru carb system. the old draw thrus are rare, thus they are costly, youre looking at 500.00 just for the manifold. if you can store the car, im sure someone looking to restore a z is going to want that l24 and the trans to make their car numbers matching ish, or you could use your motor and trans as a core at the junkyard and grab a zxt motor and trans for pennies, maybe 2-300 hundred bucks for all and youre set, kinda... gosh, sometimes maybe theyre isnt a cheap way around it
  20. hey everybody, im in the process of the 300zx 4x4 swap, and i grabbed some really nice rotors out the jy, i was wondering if their is any difference in rotor width or diameter in the 300zx's and if i can only use 84 rotor in this application???
  21. i love me a bbc 240, if i dont go 510 with the next car i try to destroy, im doing one, for sheezy... with FOE ON THE FLOW!
  22. yeah they should swap, im kinda doing the same thing to my 240. you would like to have partner helping you align the panels, they dont go on straight without some lovin...
  23. hey i just took a real hard look at my fusebox, and i dont like it. i spent about four hours the other day trying to get my running lights and interior to come on to no avail, until finally i discovered i had corrosion in the front running light, that was shorting my electrical!!! im looking into using a painless or proform fuseblock, for those running it, how hard was it for you guyz to install, im not great at electrical but i can follow instructions, im also looking at that ideal z kit, which would be pretty cool, but i dont think that they are available. thanx guyz....
