  5. Thats what I thought as well. I decided to put the wheel into my 280zx instead of the 280z for that reason.
  6. I like the placement of it, install looks very clean. Do you have a cover that goes onto it to? Just wondering. you have a 100 amp fuse in place, why not an 80?
  7. I wanted to share my little project I just finished up. I bought this steering wheel in berkeley at their downtown flea market. It is made by momo, and was made for telsa's cars. The wheel is made so It can fit an airbag into it. When I saw it, I didn't really know what i was going to do with it since it has a huge gap where the air bag is supposed to go, but I bought it anyway. I really liked that it had the horn buttons underneath the leather at 3 and 9 o"clock where your thumbs sit. 85.jpg] Here is the wheel installed in a tesla: It sat in my closet forgotten about for over a year until recently. I remembered the horn pad on the 74-76 cars was huge and could fit the giant gap in the middle! It fit perfect I used a grant steering wheel adaptor to attach it to the steering shaft. And I made a metal plate to attach the steering wheel to the grant wheel adaptor. Very happy with it. Looking to get a cleaner horn pad to make it look nicer. But I am stoked on the horn buttons I have now.
  8. looking for a known good working 1981-83 280zx turbo air flow meter shipped to 94526
  9. The black 78 roller you got looks like an excellent platform to start building from. How does the interior look?
  10. The VMC( Vacuum control modulator) from the 280zx turbo does not control anything in regards to the vapor/charcoal canister. The VCM controls vacuum to the EGR valve and to the Idle control valve(ACC) on the 280zx turbo. The vapor canister from the 280zx turbo does however have an extra vacuum hose hooked up to it that my 280z does not. The extra vacuum hose(4 total) attaches to the intake boot before the turbo on the 280zx. Look in the FSM diagram for illustrations of the vacuum hose routing if you need to visualize the correct scheme.

  14. Hi Dan, Thankyou for the photo, But its tough to tell from that angle. A picture of the plugs would tell me if its the correct one. If you have a moment some time later to send a picture of the plugs that would help.
  15. yes! I just replaced the old, cut up, mangled, spliced, rat chewed, burnt, dash harness with the the correct one(70-9/71). Then I later find out that it has later style (10/71 plus) switches in it as well. But to answer youre question more detailed... The cars manufactured from 70-9/71 used a different dash harness as well as a blinker and headlight switch to match with it.
