  1. I have a set of stock l28et pistons, PM me if you are interested.
  2. Hope to see this build finished. what year is this car?
  3. I THINK all you need are the diff stubs from a 280z. Maybe someone else can chime in.
  4. You could change the turbo throttle body to a N/A one. then you will have a bypass for idle. Having the throttle opened slightly sounds like it could work but wouldn't be the way I would go. Sounds like it wouldn't be precise enough, and a annoying for a dd. Also If you didn't readjust the TPS with youre new throttle setting you will need to do that.
  5. yes it should have a r200. you could just check, the r200 looks distinctly different from the r180
  6. its most likely 3.54 Whatever the stock ratio is for an auto 77-78 280z
  7. I have a r-180 out of a 77 280z auto. $100
  8. Hello. I need the strut housing, and hub off a 280zx. I only need the drivers side. Needs to be in good shape(I dont want one that needs new wheel bearings) Looking to pick one up locally. Anywhere got a zx they are parting out around Danville CA?!
  9. i have a f54 turbo short block pulled from a running parts car with 120.000 miles on it. Pm me if interested.
  10. Yes, I have seen this option. A good alternative indeed. But This is for a car that needs to pass smog. The 83 NA style plug is different from all the other years. It appears this hei swap would be the same is if I used a 82 or 81 IC unit just say. The 83 has the second plug to control timing differently during cold start and idle.
  11. need a power transistor from a 83 NA 280zx. the two plug style unit. let me know youre price shipped to 94526.
  12. I have an 82-83 turbo dizzy. Pm me if you still need one.
  13. Yes it was not running when I bought it. The guy really didnt know anything about cars. He owned it for three years and said one moring he tried to start it and it just wouldnt. It was in the same state when I got it, but once I reset the gap on the points for the dizzy, replaced the plugs, Took off the carbs and cleaned them, and sprayed some started fluid. It came back to life.
  14. hey guys, I just picked up a very clean early 71 240z. Car has nearly zero rust! Anyways I picked up the car and it wasnt starting. After some tinkering I got it to fire up. I was told It had a rebuilt engine 55,000 miles ago. Although there is no paper work I believe it, because they also said the transmission was rebuilt, new clutch, new rear brakes etc etc which I confirmed are all true. Engine is an l26 I have had the engine running this past week, mostly idling. The Engine had a total of maybe 30-40 minutes of run time tops. It was revving nicely, but choking a little bit upon acceleration. As I was messing around with the idle mixture today while the engine was idling, all of the sudden I saw oil leaking from under the exhaust manifold on cylinder #5. Now it looks very apparent that oil is leaking from the valve stem seals pretty badly as I can see oil on top of all the intake valves. There is also a pretty good sized puddle on cylinder #4 among some on other valves. I also cannot see any signs of oil leaking from the valve cover nor the head gasket to rule out the oil leak coming from either of those places. I wonder though how it is possible that a steady and quite strong stream of oil/gas was leaking out of cylinder #5 exhaust gasket? It just seems very excessive the amount that came out in less that 1 minute. I could visually see the leak happening rapidly. I thought there would atleast be a obvious crack in the exhaust manifold gasket where oil could leak out from. I took some pictures to show. Has anyone ever dealt with a problem like this? The picture of the gassy oil on the ground is just the fluid that made in to the floor in that small amount of time, not the mention the amount that accumulated on the side of the block.
  15. I have all the panels you need in black. Send me a Pm for details and pictures.
  16. If its a two seater and the body is in good shape, I would buy it if I were you.
  17. Just so you know. Not all 15"s will clear the brake set-up. A known wheel(by personol experience) is the 280zx 82-83 turbo swastika rims. They will clear the 240sx rear calipers, and the toyota s12+8 caliper for VENTED STYLE ROTOR.
  18. I have full black interior from early 280z's. not sure how many or which panels are compatible But I have lots of them, If you need them Send me A PM
