What I had to do with my S30 suspension was put bolt the hub to the spare tire. Have someone stand on the spare tire and them put all my weight on the pipe wrench on the gland nut. Also you gotta make sure the hub/ suspension doesn't turn. PB Blaster is your friend. Good Luck
Swapping quarter panels shouldn't be a problem. The only difference is that everything after early 260z don't have side cut outs for bumpers. I'm nearly positive its only a cosmetic difference and shouldn't be a problem.
Hey Everyone,
So yesterday I noticed that my headlights were not working(highs and lows). My side markers and turn signals still work though. BTW its a 260z
I pulled a headlight and used a test light to see if there was power going to headlight. All 3 wires in the connector had current(no ground?). This made me think that the bulbs were burnt out(I had left my lights on a week ago). I got a new one from vatozone and no luck.
So I am stumped. I have power to the bulb but no light? How can that be? Thanks, Jeff
Well this sheds light on why the PO of my car felt the need to spray paint over perfectly good paint on my hood/hatch.
probably would have looked decent if it was actually automotive paint and wasn't about as rough as 80grit.
Alright, so today I decided to scrap fixing the spare tire well. I would have to replace at least half of it with new metal so I'll be looking for a better one to weld in.
I cut two pieces of 20ga to practice with. I butted them up against each other and welded them up. They were clean and as some points I turned the voltage up a notch.
Pics:
(Used a 60grit flapper disc after cutting the excess off with a cutoff disc.

Ok, from what I gathered from the last 3 posts, I'm going to start chamfering the joints, turn up the voltage, and clean the workpieces.
I'll post my results after I do some work tomorrow. Thanks everyone.
