  1. i thought it was awful.. acting, storyline, and those "deep" moments were crap driving, drifting, cars and stunts = superb
  2. Umm.. so I went to the Colorado State Patrol track event yesterday.. and after ohhh several several laps.. keeping an eye ont he coolant and oil temperatures.. all of a sudden I hear a CHOO CHOO CHOO CHOOO like a damn train..... The exhuast runner on cylinder 5 cracked and blew a little hole!! what the.. have you guys seen this before??
  3. you rock!! I recieved the t-shirt and the framed present!! LoL!! You didn't need to ship it out express!! but thank you so much for the rush!! Superb buisness man.. couldnt of made me happier
  4. I was curious if any of you guys knew about the paddle shifters similar to the new Ferrari's, Lambo's, World Rally Championship cars, Formula One cars, etc then if I could apply this to a Z .. now this is just an idea.. I know this would cost like $3,000 + but its an interesting concept.. Now does this consist of a sequential transmission and hydraulic valves mounted on the transmission to the paddle shifter? Or are paddles typically purely electric, and then fire up a hydraulic actuator? or is it purely electric? Anyway.. i figured for a pure race bred Z (someday i might consider building one many years out) could this type of system be imposed? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semi-automatic_transmission i found some info on this site.. actually alot after i posted this thread.. but i was hoping guys with experience could chime in
  5. John Scott are you going to the Colorado State Patrol track event with the Z car club of Colorado?! Id love to run with ya
  6. I love those wheels so much.. i wish they had a dish
  7. Results are... holds 16psi dead even... NO spikes... even with a MBC !!! hot damn! im so dumb.. hhaha THANK you soo much guys
  8. you guys have given me SUPERB advice... ughmm.. but one problem.. I had the boost controller on *cough* BACKWARDS *cough* .. I know stupid stupid move.. but its so easy to mix up.. Im going to pick up some more vacuum lines in a few minutes .. the battery stopped holding charge
  9. damnit i keep typing stuff which makes no sense... is this diagram right or is it backwards?
  10. perfect for r/c airplanes or r/c boats!!
  11. awsome man! yeh someone is always home around here.. especially since my brother is out of school.. LoL.. Sorry about the PM's .. I had about 250 .. so I erased a whole bunch of em.. my appologies about that .. Thanks again! The PM is open for messages now =)
  12. I have to admit.. im jealous.. that is superb work! Did you do those welds yourself? how'd ya make em look shiney? are those pipes Stainless or polished aluminum?
  13. thanks Nigel.. i sent Joe P MBC an email and they said it almost WORD for word as you did.. hmm.. I'll try shortening the lines and see what I can do
  14. I totally removed the MBC from the system and am running 5psi and it stays at 5psi.. no spikes.. then the mbc is on.. loose or tight ant 20psi again I have searched all over and no one has given me a good answer.. I know the MBC needs to be hookd up properly.. but even the Joe MBC has no instructions to check.. Does the bottom fitting one go to the wastegate or vacuum/boost source? LoL thanks guys Im willing to bet.. the MBC is on backwards
  15. umm.. I still have not yet recieved my shirt! huurrmm.. I was out of town for a week and thought it would roll it.. nothing yet.. Anyway you can PM me with the info?!
  16. formula one engines have a 1.7L V8 if I recall.. revs up to 20,000 RPM and idles at 8,000 RPM .. overall stroke is I think 96mm
  17. I am running a full 3" exhuast.. no pre muffler or resonator.. just an Apexi N1 muffler.. the way my boost is being handled right now is 10psi in 1st gear, 15-20psi in 2nd and shoots to 20psi + in 3rd, 4th, 5th.... the wastegate is the stock internal wastegate on the Holset turbo.. and the wastegate actuator is the stock 280zx turbo actuator... i'll try running it without the boost controller and see what happens... Fortunatly I have overboost protection on megasquirt right now.. so it cuts fuel and spark at 17.5psi ... but I hate doin that to my engine
  18. so i am having some overboost issues and I have a manual ball and spring boost controller... I have it as loose as I can, and I am still hitting 19psi + with my Holset HY35W.. If I recall reading bastaads older posts... should I drill a small vent hole on the MBC? if so.. where would be an ideal spot? This is the boost controller I have
  19. good man.. diagnosing his own problems.. then sharing it .. i love it.. maybe i need to tighten my bov spring
  20. good man.. diagnosing his own problems.. then sharing it .. i love it.. maybe i need to tighten my bov spring
  21. well what about HEI using the stock turbo dizzy versus the EDIS?? Still uses the dizzy but you can still fine tune the RPM and MAP points... BRAAP .. and is very cheap and is still just as effective.. obviously the EDIS allows wasted spark, and coil packs.. but thats about it as far as i can think of care to add any more details?
  22. nooo automatic Z cars have FLEX PLATES where the torque converter bolts onto... no flywheel
  23. i welded a mild steel O2 bung to my stainless downpipe, and I welded the end of the downpipe to mild steel piping... ran it for a few months.. no issues.. no rust, no cracking...
