  2. now wet sand and buff the crap out of those hoods! the paint looks like it was applied evenly.. no to get rid of that orange peel looking finish from the roller.. with lots of sanding it will have a uniform shine

  5. looka great!! BTW.. the front bumper shocks have 2 bolts each... they can be pulled out in less than 10 minutes and will look great
  6. Replaced the clock with a 2 5/8 boost guage didnt modify the air vent at all.. just used the factory bracket from innovate and unscrewed the air vent pull screw.. slipped the bracket on.. and put the screw back on.. works
  7. just use a wideband.. and a voltmeter.. set the LC-1 for 0v=10AFR 5v=20AFR so 1.15 volts = 11.5 AFR etc
  8. umm.. its not the coolant that is causing detonation yes the effectivness of the coolant reduces the chances of detonation.. but the key to preventing detonation is proper air/fuel ratio and timing.. you can have pre-ignition of there is a hot spot ... or detonate with a poor mixture or high cylinder temps.. an F54 block has better webbing for improved cooling.. buy an aluminum or 4 core radiator.. and a good electric fan and you wont have to worry about anything the Nissan engineer's have it the way it is for a reason..

  12. ummm sh!t.. i was driving on the highway.. and all of a sudden the car died... the fuel pump was not running... god damnit.. soo I plugged a fuse in.. and now the fucker runs again... and turns off fine.. WTF is going on with this relay board?!?
  13. the BOV is BEFORE the intake manifold.. soo there is MORE pressure in the intake piping and the valve on the BOV than the pressure in the vacuum tube further downstream.. especially under low throttle situations... throttle partially open in 5th gear = boost .. more boost in the piping than in the intake manifold dont believe me?? why do people crush the DSM BOV to tighten the spring? the stock DSM BOV will blow open stock at 17-19 psi... a crushed DSM BOV will hold 25psi try an adjustable BOV like the Greddy Type RS.. and have it super loose.. and see how much boost you can run
  14. if the spring tension is very high.. with high amounts of boost.. the BOV will open and close, open and close very fast.. or a turkey call.. if the spring tension is very high.. and low amounts of boost.. the BOV will NOT open, and the turbo surge will result in a turkey call if the spring tension is very loose.. and high amounts of boost.. the BOV will open and stay open for quite sometime and will close slowly... so letting off the gas, and mashing the pedal immediatly will not build boost. also too loose, will BLOW the valve open under boost, and you will have boost leak Capeesh?
  15. noo.. im just driving with NO fuse in the FP fuse area.. still works.. but the fuel pump will not shut off after 2 sec.. just keeps on priming
  16. Hey guys.. I have been learning how to tune.. and been having a slight issue... at rest, under no load .. such as idle I can tune the MAP for the perfect AFR for me 13.0 AFR to be safe... and also while cruising at different points... however... under a load, such as climbing up a hill, or slowly accelerating from a dead stop such as a stop light.. I get spikes of like 20 AFR - 30AFR ... how can I tune so it stays lean at idle and cruise, but also doesn't go lean under heavy load??
