  1. Malware is short for Malicious software such as Trojans, root-kits, dialers, viruses etc. I have used it for a year or two now and it works well and scans throughly and quick. It really comes down to how you use your computer and internet that you need to base the type of program you get. If you surf every once in a while don't download a lot then you can use an "alright" program. If you download a lot and surf heavily click lots of links etc. you will need a better program fit to your needs.
  2. You can build a Z that gets great gas mileage, a member here Meph did the 1jz swap and he is getting 35mpg and working towards 40.
  3. Totally agree, I used it once It wasn't that great the free trial wasn't that good and plus its expensive to buy.
  4. Cnet has a lot of programs and reviews, I like to use Malwarebytes Anti-malware you use it when you want to and you can choose what hardrives you want to scan you can even scan flash drives if you plug them in. Also another program I like to run with that is Smart defrag. These are both free programs and they work really good for me I haven't had any viriuses in a long time opposed to the few I would get every once in a while with AVG anti-virius.
  5. Did you check your fuses? some might have gone out during the swap.
  6. You should do something like the member Tanuki did, Check out his build thread. He did a custom underside to his hood it looks pretty good, I understand where your wanting to go with trying to make the bad paint look better but in my opinion there is two much going on right in the middle of the car, maybe if you offset it towards the back and simplify it some more it would look great.
  7. No, I just applied there today and got an Interview, I referenced that because I need a job to pay for those parts.
  8. I haven't done anything today on the car today but I did apply at Discount tire so I have money to buy a battery some spark plug wires and all the other various items I need to get it running..
  9. There is a 79' 620 on the local craigslist here at the moment for $950 and it has 105,xxx and a few rust spots. I have been trying to convince my dad to go make an offer so we have a truck but no luck haha. I love the look of the older 620's almost like a Lincoln continental/truck.
  10. I agree, It's his build at least he isn't slamming it and increasing the camber.
  11. There are a few very experienced Z guy's in the Portland Oregon area, I'm sure they will either reply here or you can find them. I'm sure they would be willing to help you out. They are pretty cool guy's since some of them are Administrators on this forum.
  12. Check out Motorsportauto.com and Black Dragon Auto, those are pretty good places also you can get a lot of stock parts from any auto store such as Checkers/O'reilly's etc.
  13. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1980&m=1254&d=802&c=13&vi=79132&z=80904&da=-1 Another thing, I don't think these are very sought after cars at least the anniversary edition but if you fixed it up it could be awesome, plus it could take a lot of work to get yours in better condition.
  14. I bought a brand new 75' EFI relay when they were still available and I still have it around haven't ever used it, I think I have an extra one from a 76 too but I'm not sure if that one works, If you do some research and the relays I have will work for you send me a pm and we can work something out. Also another thing to check if you haven't already is check the Injector resistors, they are on the driver side under the inspection lid, It shows you how to check them in the FSM I believe. Good luck.
  15. I was thinking the same thing, Most likely Konig rewinds.
  16. Man that sounds awesome It would be great for the guys that don't have the blinker indicators on upgraded speedo/tach.
  17. I recognize that Z, it was up for sale here on hybridz just not to long ago. If I remember right it had decent body work done so that shouldn't be a problem, Also I would do some research about putting in a transmission you may be able to do it with some help from a friend.
  18. Rust, Look for rust everywhere that is usually a major concern. You don't want to have your car on jackstands for months having to repair rust and etc. Also the gas smell is a typical thing for the old Zs a lot of the seals go bad overtime and you do get some fumes. Also a transmission isn't to hard to find, maybe you can find a Z guy to go with you or talk to in your area about it.
  19. I'm guessing that the rack you have is not from a 240z or was swapped at some time. I would take some measurements and then find someone else with a 260 or 280 steering rack and see if the measurements match up.
  20. Edit: Nevermind Tony D explained, Thanks tony.
  21. You should be able to take it off without having to disconnect the lines just be really careful how far you bend the lines or you will have more problems.
  22. The same thing happened on my DD Dodge Vista, It should be the same with Z's I would have to go look but in the drum brake set up there should be an adjustment for the ebrake, so if your adjustment was off then you could have the ebrake off but if the adjustment was to high it would be engaging the brakes like if the ebrake was half way pulled or etc. I hope that makes sense, If the adjustment isn't inside the drum brakes it may be in the transmission tunnel. I would do some research on it before trusting me haha. Good luck.
  23. I think you need different seat belts, I'm not 100% sure about the coupe seat belts but I know there were differences from my 75' 2+2 from my 76' 2+2 concerning seat belts.
  24. I have always loved Wagons, especially if they are sport orientated. This would be an awesome car, nothing like having a fast car and being able to share that experience with a few people instead of one passenger haha. To bad this one is just a two seater, but I guess if you have a rear mounted radiator you have to give up some room.
