  1. This misinformation is not only bad for Matt Farah but also the Owner of the car who is George Gray, both of who are involved in the media, both their reputations could be hurt for this by a lot of viewers for Matt and creditability for George.
  2. that thread is so awesome Megatherion haha first comment called BS, Man I love the internet and all its justice seekers haha. EDIT: I went through the comments on youtube and found this, This guy is spewing BS all over the place, Notice how he said they clipped the mic to one side for the exhaust?
  3. It may not do anything but it might make it sound cool.
  4. Might just be me but it might look to cluttered their if you put anything since the ash tray is right there and the shifter right next to it. You would have to choose something that took up the whole space for it to look good IMO. But given the choices I would choose the Nismo Plaque.
  5. I'm sure the Admins would like it if you donated , anyways I am not totally sure but if you get camber adjusting bushings you might not be able to adjust it as much as you could if you had camber plates, so you might want to research that. Also its been slow around here lately because summer time is here for us guys in the more "wintery states" and we have been on the forums and such all winter, time to work or take the car out.
  6. Haha that would have been hilarious but the guy probably would have lost it. I love how he tells him he should have passed but there were two yellow lines the whole time.
  7. Also a thing to remember if you even car, 2+2 parts are either expensive or cheap as heck depending on how available they are. If your looking to restore the interior good luck if not good for you! The nice thing about 2+2's is that most people don't want them so them sell them for cheap so you can have tons of parts cars and not pay very much for them. I just bought a second 2+2 with barely any rust and used to be raced for $350. Plus if you have ever seen Jay's Car or 1FastZ you know any 2+2 can look good.
  8. Youtube doesn't like you posting links to anything I guess, I tried posting links also but it wouldn't let me until I took them out.
  9. If you look at 8:05 in the video you can also notice the Datsun rear light panel. EDIT: Here it is again at 9:15 a little bit better view.
  10. The door curve is the same also, Including the rearview mirror, windshield shape, the door window clip on metal piece, etc.
  11. The 2+2 is 12 inches longer then a coupe and most of the time they are nice for autocrossing because of the longer wheelbase. In my opinion there isn't a large difference between coupes and 2+2's, Sure they are heavy but you can gut any car if weight is an issue. IMO the 2+2 is a nice cruiser, while the coupe is for people with more performance in mind. There are people that drift S30's its not easy and you have to get used to it, but it goes that way with most cars. If you want something more reliable I would go with the s13 as the older s30 will probably break down more such as electrical and such (which might not be a problem). It mostly comes down to what you want to do. I think it would be awesome to see a drifting/autoxing 2+2.
  12. At Least it seems more reasonable that it is.
  13. Saw this today, it looks like it would be way fun. I tried to find if they are being sold or where they are being sold but didn't find anything. This may just be a one off custom from some guys messing around. Thought you guys would enjoy this.
  14. My parts car was left outside in Missouri for 9 years...yeahh. Anyways the best thing I could think of when I did this same thing is I left the "stove pipe" on slapped on silicone sealer all around the seams inside and out after I removed the rust and then painted it. After that I completely blocked off the hole instead of the half slant piece of metal. I never got to test it but I'm sure its fine that way.
  15. Well your car is most likely equipped with a heater. So if you stick your head under the dash you will see all the heater hoses. They aren't easy to replace and most of the time you have to buy them preformed. You could replace them with the dash one but I would take off the dash and then take out the heater unit and clean it up, repair, replace hoses etc.
  16. My parents rented a Hyundai sonata once for a trip to Minnesota to see family. I loved that car, It was great got good gas mileage and was comfortable. By far the best car we ever rented. Also is yours the V6 or the 4 Cylinder? I heard from a Hyundai owner that they have timing chains not belts. Anyways Good luck with your car .
  17. Hmm, I might have to buy one of those when I swap my engine into my other z in a few weeks. Hopefully I can sell some parts so I have the money.
  18. I think you noticed that this thread is three years old, but I believe they paint them black because black absorbs heat better then lighter or different colors. When your cooking you want the pan to heat up as quick, and by painting a pan black it helps in that process. Like a black car and a white car, black car is hotter because it absorbs more heat while the white reflects it better (mythbusters).
  19. Are all your stands at the same height? One could have been slightly off and you didn't notice it before, or the weight of the engine made it balance on all four?
  20. Oh I know what it looks like, on the 280z i'm not sure about the 240z, near the bumper brackets are two indentions in the rear panel that have two openings for bolts. These are attached directly to the "frame". In that picture its the two bolts directly under the tail panels.
  21. You should take pictures of the factory or dealer option tow bar for everyone to see. I wish I had when I had one, I just didn't know they weren't very common.
  22. Is your car an automatic? If so and I'm pretty sure it either is or was at one point. That button is the Kick down switch, which down shifts the auto transmission for when you need to get up a hill or take off fast.
  23. Where would you hold on to it without cutting your hands in half or bending up some sheetmetal? Maybe you could get some square tubing slide it under and get like 6 or 8 guys to carry it. I hope you have a lot of strong friends or it might just be more convenient to put it on something that rolls.
