  1. I just stripped a '74 I'm sure I have them (and I beliieve they are probably still attached to the the relay board) but if you can give me some markings (some have numbers maybe a pic of the ones you have, I can get them for you first thing in the morning. Both $30 shipped. Thanks, George
  2. How about pics of finished items. Brand? Manufacturer's website? Where to buy?.
  3. '74 260's (I just parted one out) do have a seat belt control unit and wiring to both the seatbelt buckles, however I have never seen one of these systems in service. I assume (most) everyone did away with this piece of DOT genius long ago.
  4. I am getting a can from my local hobby supply store this Friday ($13.00) I will try spraying some extra 280 A/C vents I have, and put a coat of 2 part auto clear see what happens. Hope it works I need something like this to restore my 240 vents among other stuff. Will let you know...
  5. Well, the compressor, (rotary type) which is the item more prone to wear, is less than two years old and its up to specs, condensers and evaporators are just heat exchangers they either work (don't leak) or not (leaking), put in a new filter/dryer in the line and maybe an expansion valve and that system is as good as any new one and in essence very much like the one on my '04 Titan on any 2009 car. Incidentally this particular 280 system had been running on R12 up until 2 years when the 30 year old compressor finally gave up and was replaced converted to R134 refrigerant. I would have loved to see that in my wife's 2007 POS Focus with a "modern A/C", I mean ALL major components have been replaced in two years, no wonder they are broke...but that is a whole other thread.
  6. Got the parts, 240z front thrust washers and castelated nuts, $10.00 plus $5.00 US Shipping Thanks, George.
  7. I have a stub axle I can sell I'll PM you with price and details. As for the nut keep in mind that these are peening nuts (the kind you hammer on the sides against a flat area of the stub to lock it in place, and most of the time have to be cut to remove. I have a used one I can include but I recommend you buy a new nut. I got mine from MSA. (two nuts shipped for about $12.00 if I remember correctly)
  8. I have a complete and functioning (until dismantling) '78 280z A/C system in my garage shelf, about the only thing I would have to buy would be a new dryer/filter ($40.00). My question is: is it possible to install it on a '73 240?, has anyone done it and how hard is it. Examining the evaporator unit I dont think it would be too hard to eliminate the 280 control panel to make it connect to the 240 ventilation controls. I know about Vintage Air but would like very much to use that money on my engine or suspension.
  9. I found an elderly gentleman that has a few transmissions and is willing to sell me one, I'd like to get a 5sp for my project, however he doesn't remember which is which. How can I tell them apart!. I know there are no numbers in the castings other than serial numbers. Anyone? perhaps comparison pics? anything? None have the shifter, I could take one of mine and go one by one but that going to take some time.
  10. I have a cutup 260 I can get those from. Do you just need the triple fuel line ones (2) They are not perfect but are yours if you pay shipping. Edit: Forget shipping, it should only be pennies really to send those. Send me your address I'll put them on an envelope. George.
  11. z-ya can you give us your source for the RY6134 ITM pistons? Thanks, George
  12. Yellowfever, I know how you feel, I'm getting there too...LOL!. Thanks for the measurement. thehelix112, I'll try the 8 hole trick, after all I now have new 4 PU buns and hate to spend more money getting the OEM rubber ones. Thanks guys!
  13. I have a great set from a '78 complete with spacers for $45 plus shipping. The pic is missing one spacer but I got it. I'll also remove the old bearing. Send me your zip for shipping costs. George.
  14. I really have no idea as to the manufacturer here is a pic maybe it looks like yours? Thanks in advance. One more question, did you use a polyutrethane bushing or the oem rubber? I've read of PU bushings breaking rods at the shoulder before the threads even using the T-C kit. George
  15. I got a T-C rod kit from the PO that I want to install in my '73, but am missing the preload gauge that comes with the kit (the u shaped flat piece of cardboard or aluminum that comes with the kit). Does anyone has one that can measure and give me the correct span? Thanks George
  16. I know this thread is old but can u tell me where you bought these at that price? Thx
