If you can get in contact with anyone in jappan, parts are faily cheep. if not there will be a few memebers on the forum that shurly will help you out, if they are located in aussy or new zealand . if you need some parts check out. http://www.skylinesdownunder.co.nz the forums there should help you and 90% of sdu members well happly ship overseas.
  2. so in term i would have a better a/f ratio if i run a catch can off the rocker cover, and block off the pcv vavle. and it looks smarter

  6. alright you guys are talking about the timing isuse, now im concerned if this can relate to the l20et's. i was informed t hat the factory timing was 10btc. is it sa fe to bump it up to 20btc. ? or do i endangor my motor. its fairly stock apart from a intercooler, exhaust, filter. and a adjustable wastegate. im also about to get the car back from the workshop after blowing the orginal head gasket. and leaking vavles.
  7. we ll after who know how old my head gausket was it blew. a steamy death. now over here in nz a head gasket is pretty much im possible. but looking at a l28e one they look similar. but are they interchangabl e. or what is ?
  8. ive run 15psi on my l20et. no deto. but i guess i would be leaning out majorly. just got a fmic. and ran 15psi the thing was NUTS!!!!
  9. yeah well. confurmed the timing for the thing was factory 10btc. regaped the plugs and tryed again and toolk off the bleed valve. which kept giving me 15psi spike, but anyway. 6psi. regaped plugs. and a new coil. when excelarating no miss but when crusing it missed like a bitch. and at idel. i pulled the timing to 20btc and it does go alot better. alot more power down low. and doesnt ping. temped to ruun the 15psi again . but.. ITS MISSES!!!
  10. i have a 1985 r30 skyline with a l20et. 10-12ps i of boost Fmic. ( small one) 3" pod filter on a 90deg bend. 2.5" exhasut. Factory timing. now this is a weird problem. well maybe easy for some of you 's. as i reach say 4500-5000rpm. car is pulling fine, i hit a point where the car stops pulling. and then lets out a huge backfire. not a bang but a boom. and also does it out the intake. it will do it in any gear aprt from 1st. and this has only accored in the past week. : / "confused" ?
  11. hey thanks for that ben. ive been asking around to see if that 80cc rating was true. good to hear it wasnt i was scared of running my 15psi on that rating. is there a injector that i can use that i wont need to change my ECu for ?. i know they are limited. also would 15psi be putting me at my 100% injector duty cycle ?
  12. anyone know of this is possible. after finding out my stock injectors are 80cc yes thats right 80cc. I really want to upgrade the weird thing is. 15psi and 80cc it doesnt ping. been told its the combustion chamber design
  13. whhooooaa good to see more new zealanders here anyway. you guys know of a good deal ona rb25det, i dont need the vcc's version, only the serries 1. im putting it into my R30 should be a killer .
  14. yeah thats was one of the things i was thinking, i dont need to worry about he connections and they are nearly brand new in the looks department. i did have problems with my car before dieing after driving it for 5 mins, when cold. then it wouldnt start for 10 mins, i narrowed it down to a bad ground on my fuel pump relay controll box, or something arather. on the rear parcel tray.

  16. its a intresting problem, 2 days ago my l20et started to run as it says in the title, it idels fine, but comming up to say 2000rpm it starts to lunge back fire eraticly. it only does this when its cold. but it is still down on power when warmed up now im tihnking its the o2 sensor, or afm, im unsure on what it could be. the only other this is could of something happend when it was given a hard run around the bays in my local area?. could of something poped its a l20et in a r30 skyline coupe, running 10-12psi, pod filter and a 2.5" exhaust with a turbo muffler ,
  17. that air gun sound will be your EGR valve opening, which means the Vcm controller could be faulty. or the valve its self. just disconect the vacume line to the EGr valve its self. and plug it with a screew or something, and take it for a hard run. this should fix all your problems. i had the same problem on my l20et. full boost = Shudder. "air gun" and going nowhere!! good luck

  19. when looking at me dizzy. i noticed a plug on it that wasnt pluged in, now the nearest plug that wasnt in use. well i asumed it was the one. i changed the Thermostat not to long before. so i could of knocked it off. now this is the weird bit. when i pluged it in. My temp gauge went thr u the roof. uunplug it. it came back down, ?!?!? what is this pin for on my dizzy. it possibly lookes like a earth or something. ?
  20. ive had this same problem, but it evolved into no ignition spark and no power to the fuel pump. now this is on a l20et in a skyline. so i would presumne they are slightly diffrent. but on the rear parcel tray, (which you guys dont have) there is a box bolted to it called Electronic Contoll System box or something like that. my problem ended up to be a bad g round on it.
  21. what happens when the ecu light doesnt flash, 1. i also runs green on the "on" possition. but nothing while running ?
