  1. On my first clean out I found 11 bucks under the drivers seat. to bad that car is gone because of rust, 1 more z down.
  2. Are you goig to be keeping the a/c and heat vents? If you don't you can mount it under the dash. I would think if you want all wires out of sight then under dash is the best place to hide the ECU.
  3. Loid's for sure after seeing their work. (NM place)
  4. First off, what does the car sound like? Is it loud and sounding like your killing a deer? I'm assuming your doing 65 for a little while, 4500 rpm is quite alot for constant driving if you don't have a race built motor, stock engines just aren't made for that. If it doesn't sound like 4500 rpm, then its probably not. Tire size causes speedo issues but I don't think it would cause a tach issue that I am not sure of. Could be gearing but then again, you would hear it as well.
  5. For anybody who actually thought this was a 280z or late 260z you have got to be kidding, if somebody went to the work of fitting 240z or early 260z tails into a 280z or late 260, that would be nuts. I like z cars and all, but not that much to be dedicated 240z style. Dash is also 240z dash. Also I think the seat mounts are a little different. Look for the things that make it a 240z not that make it not a 240z. If that made any sense at all.
  6. I saw yes, I got tails and maybe a rear window waiting for you if you buy it. If you don't, get me the sellers number so I can come pick it up, its in San Antonio right?
  7. I dont know how much you care for my opinion, but the cars and intake mani are probably worth 50. I have seen just the carbs getting rebuild go for 250, with the person providing the carbs. You could sell the valve cover and probably the dizzy and a few other things, the block somebody might buy but if not I would just scrap that. You don't get much for scrap. In vegas they pay 4 cents a pound. say about 300 lbs your not getting much.
  8. Ouch man. Glad to see some progress by Justin, Please try not to hurt yourself. I cut mine up with a hack saw. Not much left anymore. Want some wheels? I am selling mine. Make me an offer. Got pics if you are interested.
  9. hey man i was wondering how much you would be willing to let the cylinder head and intake go for

  10. Dude,i need the windshield and all of the interior parts of the z(except the seats),also the exterior door handles and the headlight, let me know how much are those man, im pretty sure that im going to get them.thanks!

  11. Good to see an update, glad its got moving again, If you need any stock parts let me know I am parting my car.
  12. No fenders, no hood no door no hatch no brakes no lights no glass no seats. Mad tyte jdm style weight reduction?
  13. almost double? thats not even $700. haha, I bet there is somebody out there willing to pay more than that, how in the world is the dash crack free is all I want to know.
  14. I don't know if I can make it to the Z meet Thursday. I will try, the same guy with the one missing a fender has one that was wreaked. I called him, am supposed to call him back just haven't got to it yet. I was talking about driving down and looking at that Thursday and then going to the z meet. EDIT: also the one missing the fender is almost missing a title, I do not know if the silver one does (wreaked one)
  15. My car is a total loss IMO so I might look at it, don't feel up to fixing any rust so I wish my landlord would sell me his 77, its super great, absolutely no visible body rust. obviously the dash is cracked and it has seat covers. From what I've been told (haven't known him long but am most likely going to try to get a job at his gym) is that he is like Mr. Crabs.
  16. I think that is sorta different, at least its still Nissan or Datsun, I would much rather him get a rb in there or an sr20 than a sbc, obvious reason why that is less likely, mainly being cost and parts availability
  17. I can't tell you not to, but i can ask if you will please not put a v8 in a true fairlady
  18. whats so special about the spoiler? They have them in the us. I have one on my 280z, was there when I got it. Is it really special?
  19. haha yea, thats a VERY good way to bleed, but you MUST have another person to help, they also have to know what their doing, the pedal should never touch the floor. =P
  20. phils green is not Rustoleum. The black was, but his new paint is 2007 Dodge Charger Sublime Green. Haha, it looks pretty cool. I think he said the paint was $411 a quart. something like that?
  21. I have never used a vacuum bleeder so I have no idea how they work. Maybe I'll look that up
  22. How exactly do you hold it? haha, You must be rather tall, the brake calipers and the pedal are quite far away. This is the method I would use with help, its normally very successful, there are many ways, you can put nylon tubing on the bleeder, and put it in your brake fluid, and just pump, it will push air out, but only suck brake fluid back in. there are NUMEROUS ways to bleed brakes etc, everybody may have their own, some need more than 1 person others dont
  23. you don't necessarily do you? I would assume you could use the same "drip" method as you can for brakes, crack the bleeder valve. let it just drip for a while. make sure your master doesn't run dry or you will just suck air back in of course. It also flushes your lines really well as all the new fluid runs through, even though regular bleeding will do this. Just a thought
  24. I am heading to the pick and pull today to try and find some lf suspension parts I need. I sure hope I don't see a merc or I'll be popping every one of their hoods hahaha.
