  1. Gday Joel ( thats right isnt it ?) Great to hear from you. Mate sure thing....but I I learned a lot of lessons from last time i designed and built my first kit...I kept a lot of people hanging and waiting due to supply issues etc....so this time I will be waiting till I'm 100% sure everything is ready to go before offering the kits up for sale.... Watch this space mate.... Woza
  2. Correct me if Im wrong.....but its only the 'hat' on the rotor that has the 5 lug holes ?....if so, then nothing else on my design needs to be changed
  3. Im currently finalising my design for my Brackets to incorporate the MC4 Calipers into the AZC rear Kit. A few more bits and pieces to do, then i will be getting a test set cut and machined. Here are a couple imaged from my 3D Design model.... I have a 3D PDF that i can email anyone that is interested too...cant seem to upload it here.
  4. Sorry guys....still dragging my heels.....so little time....It WILL get done..i guarantee you that !
  5. Hey !.... No update im afraid...I have made a start, and done some of the 3D modelling, however I am very Time-Poor at the moment due to work commitments and other stuff. It will get done, but i cant give any guarantees on exactly when....An estimate is that it will be at least another month before I can get back into the engineering & design.... Sorry its not better news.....But hey...good things are work waiting for ! Woza
  6. Joel, No probs.....I certainly wasnt getting on with of it because of your coment, rather I did a search and found a set at a good price, and thought id take the opportunity to snap them up. Im heading overseas next week, so if they arrive before then, I can take one of them with me - I am already taking my laptop, so this will mean I could model up the new caliper accurately, which in turn will mean that I could model up/design the new bracket.... Hopefully I can utilize the handbrake cable that I got made up with my previous kits ! Hope youre well mate ! Woza
  7. Is that you Joel ? Ive just ordered my MC4 Calipers !......perhaps I can make a start sooner than later !
  8. Sorry to hear that these will not be available. I was excited to see that Wilwood had finally produced a good quality Handbrake-only caliper - I wish it was available when i developed my kit !. So, seeing as 05plsrt4 wont be producing anymore, I will definately be engineering a new set of brackets for my AZC setup. This will only start to happen though in a couple of months time as I have other projects/commitmenst on the go at the moment, but i look forward to getting the ball rolling and I will definaetly make the brackets available - after all, for me its not about making profit, its about sharing the knowledge.....
  9. Haha..well well.... I remember you contacting me about my brackets ! I too hate the rattle that comes from the Spot calipers used in my kit, and also the pad area is VERY small, resulting in not a huge clamping force. They are constantly requiring adjustment too. In retrospect, I shoudl have used them for sometime before selling kts, however everyone simply 'had to have a set now' ! lol I have been toying with the idea of re-designing using teh MC4 calipers, but you have spared me the work ! thanks ! So, in a nutshell...I WANT A SET ! haha....where are we at with numbers etc ? Cheers Warren (Woza01)
  10. Yep those are Definately B45 Simmons Wheels. Simmons wheels closed down a few years ago, but they are now re-selling the Simmons brand through Tempe Tyres, in NSW. Unfortunately though, I dont think that the B45's are still in their line of wheels The fantastic thing about Simmons wheels, are that you provide them with all the info, and they will make your wheels to suit, so you can maximise the under-guard space on your car. Here is their Website...Im getting a set of Fully Polished 18" FR18's for my 260Z soon ! http://www.simmonswheels.com.au/ Woza
  11. Hi, do you still have those wilwood handbrake kits? Im intersted in purchasing a kit from you. Thanks

Also what caliper (parking brake cliper)do you use for this kit? Thanks

  12. Yup...Simmons are no more...they didnt go bust or anything, it was a simple case of the owner (tony Simmons) wanting to retire.......still dont understand why that means that the business has to close !! Yeah, so it you have Simmons, hold on to them !!!
  13. Im in the process of trying to decide what wheels to put on My Z...I had my mind made up for a long time, and when the time came to order, I found that my wheel manufacturer of choice had closed their buisiness (Simmons Wheels here in Ausralia)... VERY dissapointing. Anyway, I have found this beautiful Z, and I rather Like the wheels. Can anybody help me out and tell me what they are and where to get them ? Oh...If this is YOUR car, I hope you dont mind me using this pic ! I look forward to your replies.... thanks all Warren (Woza01) Perth, Western Australia
  14. Hi All, Heres my 260Z which is undergoing an RB25DET engine & Gearbox transplant...would have liked to do an RB26DETT, but I already have one of those in my R33 GTR, so I went with the RB25DET.... Warren
  15. Hey ! As NZedr states, Those wheels are standard fitment to 260Z's......To clarify that even further, standard fitment on 260z's sold here in Australia....I cant say with any degree of certainty what they were on elsewhere in the world. They are easy to get here.....I have a spare set that Im just about to start cleaning up, and polishing. They will finsh up looking like the last set I had on my car (which I sold) Hope this info helps !
  16. Hell yeah, 16's fit easily...Im going to be fitting 18's on mine soon !
  17. Your Rotors were on the wrong side ?........I cant see how that would affect anything...if your calipers were on the wrong side, which means that the bleeders wouldnt be at the top, then yes, I could understand because theres no way youd be able to bleed all the air out.....Id be interested to hear more....
  18. When you say 'they are new brakes'...what exactly is new ? Also, you say you have checked the reaction disk ?.....was that ever a problem for you before (i.e had it fallen into the booster) ?
  19. Removing the rear nuts is no real drama if you set it up right. Yes, they are peened over in to stop them loosening by themselves. Get underneath the car with the right size socket, and a good quality breaker bar. Obviously make sure the wheel (or axle if the wheels arent on) cannot turn !) This in itself probably wont be enough - I simply add length to the breaker bar by sliding my Trolley Jacks handle over it. It will take a little effort, but the nut will come loose without wasting time n effort trying to grind or bend out the peened section. The Nut is a softer material than the shaft, so the shaft wont be damaged - you will need to replace the nuts however ! As a qualified mechanic, this is how I do it - its a common method, and a lot of front wheel drive vehicles' rear brake drums are secured the same way (instead of a castle nut & split pin)....just wack a socket on it and lean on it ! anyway, just my 2 cents worth....
  20. Problem Solved guys. I have developed this kit, similar to the one shown in the pic earlier in this thread. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2915.0.html Woza01
