  3. thank guys for your offers but found a head. Plz delete.
  4. @jsm I will stay in contact if this current offer doesnt go through. @az240z Out of my price range, i can get a fully rebuilt one off ebay for 400.00+ship. Thanks for the offer though

My price range is around 200-375.00 plus shipping to 94122, Mainly looking for n42. Thanks again you can pm or post here. Edit: if decide to pm me, please list details to which head you are offering and condition of product.
  6. so if im not running any boost or any forced induction for that matter, i should be fine with the without eyebrows? just curious. Looks like im going to eyebrow them anyway since i do want to go l24et down the road, did you used dish or flattop pistons?
  7. the p30 block didnt seem to be effected by much or is that the one that blew the head gasket. Im not running any boost or anything (yet) would you say i would the same problem and have the head gasket going out without eyebrow-ed cylinders? I guess I'll get the block eyebrow-ed just for safety clearance so i wont run into the problem down the road. thanks much appreciated, i looked through the "Heads" post and couple people asking but i just wanted to know how safe it would actually be without eyebrowing it. More info on this would be much appreciated by anyone else.
  8. I searched quite a bit around before i posted this, I was wondering how many people are running the l24 block without eyebrow-ing the cylinder for the larger valves from the n42/n47/mn47/etc. Also did you run into any problems without the eyebrows, is this for the exhaust and intake valves or only the intake? how much material did you remove to make the clearance? price range for eyebrows who didn't do it themselves? Reason why i ask is because im either going to rebuild my e88 or find a n42/n47/mn47 and slap it on, so i wont have to grab another head in the future for efi concerns.
  9. So i got my front techno toy tuning camber plates in and my rear going to be done by the end of the month. I was wondering what you guys use as a "strut bar" after the plates are welded in, since the traditional ones usually bolt right onto the strut towers. thanks.
  10. wow guys, this helped a whole lot...i am wanting to do l24et but i cant approach it currently rebuilding the motor and might be grabing new carbs until i habe the money (after brakes upgrades, tires, misc, etc). I guess something is wrong with my fuel delivey system considering im around the 16mpg relm at cruising, but i will be attacking this soon. Thanks again guys for all you advice and comments.
  11. im not entirely sure but its not the greatest i think 14-19 mpg all around at regular crusing speed, but theres exhaust and vacuum leaks here and here so i wont be able to give accurate guess plus no tach. I seen you mentioned your friend with dgv's had to fill up more often on a road trip or did i just make that up? So i was wondering if what other people sre getting so i can get a taste of fuel economy potential.
  12. Wellim debating on keeping my dgv's or swap them out for SU's, i hit the search button and have been browsing for hours. Looks as if the su's can out perform dgv's and have gas mileage aswell. I just would like to see what other dgv owners gas mileage is looking like, before i make my decision.
  13. ill check it out tomorow when i get off work tonight
  14. So i was driving the Z back from work and it was raining, so i was doing some sliding but nothing too serious. I was shifting perfectly fine and I threw the shifter into reverse to get om the driveway. I realized the shifter actually nudged the center console, my throws (shifts) are a good amount longer i would say about a 1 inch to 1 inch and half more push and pull threw all gears. Any ideas?
  15. yeah i figured it was a short to ground somewhere, i think it was the parking light fuse that keep frying my stuff up I'll check it again.
  16. ^ YEAH,Definately gonna do that one. Just to add-on my battery has been dying multiple times Im pretty sure i went through 3-4 batteries this past year,i replaced the alternator earlier this year to see it would help. Battery lasted alittle longer but ended up dying again anyways, then i replaced my already bad fuse box and then nothing.
  17. thats what i was going to do, did you sand everything down to metal or just covered it all up?
  18. yeah i looked at the fsm, quality sucky but illl try it again. I got the fuse box to because the glass fuse type burnt a hole straight threw the plastic. Yeah the smoking happened before the fuse box issues. Maybe if i print it out it will look a little better.
  19. 73 240z, only mod i've done is the updated fuse box (non glass fuse)other than that its stock, started a few months ago but comes back spontaneously. I also notice if i remove the flasher fuse the engine idles alittle higher, other than that im started to remove the taillight harness to check for anything unusual and i have to i'll remove the dash and check everything else. Where does power come from for the parking/brake lights?
  20. Sometimes the wire that goes to the amp-meter likes to start smoking time to time, and the needle is never in the middle. This, i have no idea how to diagnose since its spontaneous and never have the tools on hand to check when it does smoke. Any ideas or common problems? Since I'm rebuilding the motor now, i would like to get this out the way before i step back in the car. Thanks!
  21. when you instal the s13 coilovers, do you eliminate the top hats?
  22. The problem with using s13 spindles, control arms, etc is that the sai angle is way off. In some cases positive cambers/caster(don't remem which) increases the more you turn. But in some cases it can be managed but it usually suits the driver. On the z31performance.net there's a giant amount of info for coilovers for the z31. I used serial 9 adapters with kts coilovers and gotit dropped quite a ways, felt good. All prefrence my friend
