1. I got a got shot at getting a really good deal on a S14 setup though. I'm gonna trial-fit (using whatever I can find) the stuff I borrowed and then stick a wheel on it, put on the stock fender and see how far out the wheel goes. Then I'll take it from there. The S13 is a nice suggestion though, we have tons of them here in Sweden. Lots of kids put em in ditches (pretty cheap to buy + turbo + little experience) which is good for parts supply... We'll see what happens : ) Edit (found this in a thread on freshalloy): S13; front 57.7"/ 1466mm S14; front 58.3"/ 1480mm Not much difference in track width.
2. I don't think there will be a double wishbone setup due to regulations. A double wishbone installation would probably push it over the edge from "modified" to a less appealing "amateur built vehicle". This would mean I'd lose the 1971 "vintage" and end up with a 2009 or what year it is when the car is ready for The Swedish Motor Vehicle Inspection Co. A 2009 title would mean checkups every year instead of every other and more regulations on emissions/etc. So, I finally got off my ass and went to Huddinge Kustoms and borrowed their Nissan 200sx S14 front suspension. Will add pics tomorrow. Seems like it'll be a good fit though. It's approx 1½-2" wider per side using standard arms. Looks like the wider front ZG-flares will come in handy once they're ready... : )
3. These guys did; http://www.inetogether.net/jaguar/021103.php
4. You might want to try a forum that deals with Skylines and not Z-cars then http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forums.html http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/ http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/nissan-skyline-gt-r-forums/
5. Being a complete n00b at brakes and such, please bear with me... : ) I was thinking I might use Porsche brakes (since a friend that works at a local Porsche Center can get his hands on them at a reasonable price). The problem is that the brake discs are originally (on the Porsche) 350 x 33 mm in the front and 330 x 28 mm in the rear. It might be the stupidest question ever, but; is it possible to drill holes in the Porsche discs (bolt pattern 5 x 130) to fit the 5 x 114,3 of my Skyline hubs? Any other solutions/ideas on how to handle this? I've tried finding similar discs (dimensions) for the Skyline but have come up with no match. Help help : )
6. Guess that's a good idea, but I have no intention of shipping my car back to Chicago/IL unless it's done and I've decided to make a road trip in the US Crazy beautiful welds though. Made my mouth water. Great stuff! =)
7. You guys don't fabricate manifolds for the RB26 by any chance? : ) *gasp*
8. Requesting/looking for pics of Z's with 18" wheels, like bartman: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=798417 and rb20det: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117258 and Ivan280zt: http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=826144&postcount=142 and olavcsk: http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=855100&postcount=190 and ROVdriver: http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=867392&postcount=207 and m1noel: http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=874571&postcount=214 Post post post! : )

10. Read and learn : ) http://www.poleringsguide.se/english/
11. Any more double wishbone front setups that come to mind? Need options : ) • Lexus SC300 • Corvette C4/C5 • Mazda RX8 • Opel Speedster I've more or less made up my mind; the front end/rails will be redesigned to assure better safety, handling and possibly more room for my Tilton pedals. I have a lucky someone that will be doing the math on the scrub radius, ackerman, rollcenter, caster, etc to assure than the car won't handle like a sack of ♥♥♥♥.
12. I forgive you You could use bold instead. Just type it in like below: bold text Or use colors: bold text
13. Anyone ever tell you that using only capital letters is considered "screaming" online? : ) JUST POINTING IT OUT. Press the caps lock button.
14. Sweet, now I know what my tinted covers will look like! Once installed. Someday.
15. I hope not... : ) Not really, no. Waiting for the go-ahead to pick up a 240z and drive/trailer it to my carbon-guy for some well needed parts. Hopefully it will happen during this upcoming week. Everything's moving painfully slow, I know. I know :-r Not much real updates other than that I've ordered some CF wide ZG-flares for the back. Front will recieve similar once production starts. And I've been doing some grinding/polishing of the RB26 intake. Slow boat to China... : ) Engine/speedshop has been really busy lately, so no updates on that either. Sorry everyone : ( They're OZ F1 rims.
16. I liked those offset stripes too, very nice color as well : )
17. Present me with $30.000 and I'll ship a mold. This was the amount I was quoted when asking for a price estimate from a company that do the kind of work in the pics above, 5-axis milling, or whatever it's called : )
18. Not yet, no. But there will be sooner rather than later. Starting now anyway : ) RIPSNZ - thanks for a much needed reply : )
19. Good to know. I'll be keeping on the safe side of 1000 hp anyway though : )
20. I've read on the great interweb that a company in Australia (or was it NZ?) had dynoed 1200 HP on a stock crankshaft. Anyone know if this is true to start with? How many ponies are you/or your friends running on stock crank?
21. Actually looking at the picture, the center cap/hub says IMAGE. Google for "image wheels" gives: http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/ Hopefully you'll find your way around from here...
22. Oh, whaddyaknow. I thought he kept it under wraps until he was done with it. Guess I'll have to console myself with the knowledge that I added more pics : ) Maybe a mod/admin could merge the two threads into one?
23. A guy (called GRID) on a Swedish forum (http://www.zatzy.com) has made a couple of drawings (if calling 3D "drawing" is allowed) of his interpretation of a would-be 2008 Datsun 240z concept car. He'll be checking this thread out, so speak your mind! I'm sure he appreciates both feedback/critisism (constructive) and cheers : ) I only wish he could build it for me IRL
24. Well, at least he didn't say "ejaculation seat" : ) If you're talking about setting up neon/LED's under a classic Z... I would'nt. Just my 2 cent.
