  1. ive always found it easiest to drop it in as an assembley. aligning the tranny with the engine while its in the car doesnt sound too fun.
  2. Heres mine.. nothing special but gets the job done. XXR 513 16x8 0 offset with 225/50/16.
  3. the exhaust note is musical, the solid lifter head on the other hand
  4. divide your "twin turbo pipe" into two. Search skyline forums on how to do this. It got rid of almost all my shuffle... im sure the picky mafs are causing the rest.
  5. I run the following: 69 camaro rad Spal fan water wetter with straight water Flexalite fan controller lots of ducting i never hit above 200, im usually at 180-190. 200 is my limit. Sometimes when I go up a hill at low rpms/highload temps climb to 200+, then I ease off or lay into it to give the rad some airflow... im sure the cops dont like it but whatever. Im putting an aluminum replacment rad in soon and will work more on the ducting more to solve that. 200+ is a bad thing. Temp issues go away when the ambient temp is below 20 deg celcius, BTW just watch your temps, if they climb at cruising/high speeds, work on ducting. overheating in traffic, stoplights, wokr on your fans.
  6. the rb26 is extremely underrated, thats part of the reason i went with this engine. it was either an rb26, vq35, or ls1. the rb26 still dominates all in stock form... its a noisey engine but gets the job done..
  7. stony... u know there are better ways of launching your self into outer space, right? that car is downright nasty. care to take it out on the street once and shoot some vids? hahaha
  8. nice!!!!!!!! Let me tell you right now... there is nothing like it. I started buying ♥♥♥♥ to make my car a monster but am now selling most of it and beefing up the suspension/braking instead. GTR motors just plain rock. Im running 11 psi and cant imagine anymore. 1st/2nd light up like nothing.
  9. what does the stock 25 usually put down?
  10. Wasnt too bad, hardest part was fabricating the oilpan and yes ive done lots of "swaps" heres one of them sold it, btw
  11. yeah.. i plan on doing suspension/chassis reinforcments, cosmetics, etc... i cant imagine the car with 4.11 rear end and 14psi. its part of the reason why we swap these motors in.. to put our wallets away. over 300bhp from a factory engine is truly awesome! just goes to show how really underrated this engine is... 276bhp my ass!! ill also add that my downpipe isnt the greatest, there is a 8" section of 2.5" pipe where the donwpipes merge, im sure a more properely designed dp would yield better results
  12. yup just getting started but a good baseline
  13. Made 310whp, 261 torque on a mustang dyno setup is: RB26dett R32 motor stock 10-11psi 2.5" downpipes, 3" exhaust Huge FMIC Stock fuel managment Pretty impressed with the resullts, not to bad for a factory turbocharged engine from the early 90s. Im sure standalone and eliminating the mafs would yield another 50whp or so.
  14. done working on the engine bay for now. next up is single turbo conversion. now im on to fitting the r32 diff and redoing the back end of the car.
  15. Sweeet. I'm guesing I'll need 4 iner cvs from r32? And use the mm adaptors? I'm guessing the r32 axles will be too long? Any possibility to shorten them?
  16. The diff is starting to go on my Z so its time for a new one. Currentley have a open r200 diff with horrible gearing. I found a cheap R32 GTR LSD diff. I plan on either A) bolting up the diff as a whole unit, getting my driveshaft extended and making custom diff front mount. or putting the LSD into a open r200 longnose diff with better gearing. My question is, what do I use for axles? I heard the R32 diff has a 31 spline count, I have acces to a lathe and can do turning or even milling, if it makes a difference. Thanks
  17. What turbo did you end up buying? are you coming to the bc datsun show this sept?
  18. I work for Rotomaster/ADP, the turbo place thats partners with kinetic. Kinetic is still in the same general location, they just moved to a new building. Like I said, the dyno was sitting in our building and I talked to the manager and he said its sold, so I think youre out of luck.
  19. catch cans are now being offered in the vendor section.
  20. Hmm I shoudl check mine. I just did my ball joints, tie rod ends, TC and LCA bushings, and new shocks. No more death shake. But I didnt realize those steering rack bushings go out. I have a set of poly so may as well change them out.
  21. Racing greed, Miller BMW performance, Mopac auto supply I think Kinetic sold theirs.
  22. get a stainless pipe made. ideally all your rad hoses shoudl be stainless piping with couplers, just like your charge pipes. will never have to replace another rad hose again. the length of the rad hose shoudl have no effect on bubbles. in fact, the leaks is whats causing your bubbles/air pockets.
