I write technical documents currently for a lab and I am a stickler for spelling, grammar, etc... However I see the true core of this issue being laziness, coupled with new urban street slang. I made a couple of younger friends in my last year of college and when I would both talk with them, and/or get emails from them, they were riddled with this type of shite (IMO). Bottom line is that this is not a normal forum. Members here are expected to be above average in terms of both attitude and etiquette. This is not myspace.com with pictures of the members in sideways baseball caps and XXXXXL pants. This is a site for intelligent gear heads no matter what age. To be honest what one wears makes no difference to me, but they way one carries themselves in a conversation be-it verbal or written makes a huge impression. I am with Mike C... if a post is full of the reedickulows slang I just pass it by... Mike (ON3GO) will answer them soon enough anyway!!

I want to clear over something I have already painted. So I would not need a whole candy or pearl 2 stage paint. I just need a tinted clearcoat. It would need to be compatible with the paint I already have down i suppose.

Anyone ever use something like this? I figure that has to be a product like this but I am having trouble finding it. Smoke would be preferred but i could use a dark blue... Thanks!

Awesome site Tim Thanks! From what I remember you could use a bigger garage yourself...actually...there is probably plenty of room now though...now that the goose is gone... EDIT: overcome...with...fits of jealousy...and ...envy...must ...have....garage...1/2...as...nice...as...the...ones......on....that...site....*gasp*...

I asked a similar question about a year and a half ago and from what I gathered, no one has done it in a car like ours before...it would be new ground covered here. Best of luck to you please keep us posted. Question...why would you not use the booster anymore?

Mike- Thanks for the reply as it contained some very good info / insight. A fellow engineer at work suggested a couple courses of block...I may consider using that approach now. Did you go with such a high wall height to allow for your lift? i plan to buy one once the garage is finished but was thinking 10' was enough...comments? Can you elaborate on how you were able to construct an upstairs room using trusses... I thought that the rule of thumb using them was that they are easier to install but you lose the option for a second level due to their construction. I am going to do some searching because i am pretty sure you posted somepics of your garage when you built it. Okimoto- Thanks for the warning. My area is pretty easy to build on. There is a new building code that will require my slab to incorporate a "haunch" which is similar to the footer mike talked about but slightly different. Yeh I like the place I am at but the wife is working at night and I can't get there since I have to watch the boys...plus the gomer I share the space with is always 'F'ing something up...like the heater...
