  1. Check your rep now!! The scale under you avatar lets people either approve or disapprove of your post and of you in general. EDIT: Although it should say that you are on a distinguished road... like mine...unless it takes more than one approval...
  2. I have not been able to edit my avatar since the site swap (about a year ago?) I wanted to use a compressed version as this one is a huge file...
  3. I noticed that all new members are receiving good reputation ratings...no big deal to me... but if that is the case it really defeats the purpose...
  4. try pulling the pads of the side it pulls to and scrub them on some medium grit sandpaper. Don't breathe in though. There may be some glaze build up on the pads that grab when hot...just an idea...
  5. Could be something as simple as rust built up where the pads sit, sometimes grooves wear into these spots and the pads can't move easily. Could also be rusted slide pins. But if it happens once in a while..hmm have you noticed if it happens after driving / braking alot? Try and get the brakes hot and see if it happens. To be sure that pressure is the same at both front wheels you could get a pressure gage and check each side. Maybe a prop valve getting stuck...but I would think that would effect both sides... Something as simple as a low tire can cause pull as well, which is more noticeable during breaking.
  6. Thanks. Sorry about the situation. I wish you luck!
  7. You misunderstand. My listings are for torque - which I work with and understand. I have already admitted that I don't know about spring rates and was incorrect with my first post. My Understanding of how springs are rated has improved through this post string actually. So for the record I agree with you, however the abv's I listed for torque I believe to be correct. If I am wrong about that as well and you have some documantation carrying the same weight as the previous attachment I would welcome it. Thanks, Rufus
  8. Mind telling us what happened? If not cool...just wondered as you seem like a pretty bright guy. Your experience may save one of us from the same fate...
  9. Something about having my face rubbed in it never agreed with me... Happy for you...but a better title may have been check out my cool new digs... My heart, although black and charred i still need...
  10. My buddies dad who was a wood worker (no jokes please...) used to say.. "I cut this board twice and its still too short!"
  11. I have been sandblasting my suspension components and was working on my moustache bar. I burned out the bushings and was going to cut out the shells like i did on the front control arms. I had the hacksaw in my hand then thought...hmm maybe i should check this out first. Pulled the instructions from the energy suspension bushing kit and it said DO NOT!! I guess i would have had to fab something up or get a new bar if I cut them out! Lesson learned...never cutanything without knowing if you should!
  12. Looks nice man. How long since you have driven it? You said you had it painted 2 years ago...
  13. Don't know the poem but I know a joke... A rich doctor was at his local repair shop when a mechanic says to him "How come you guys get the big bucks and i can barley make a living?" "I mean take a look at this head, its just like a human heart, its got valves that let the lifes blood of the engine in and out." "I can take it out, rebuild it, and put it back in making the engine run better than it ever has before. See our jobs are just alike!" The doctor leans over and says... "Try doing it with the engine running."
  14. I was there for a week last summer...nice town!
  15. The kids got talent!! I don't know what you are doing now but IMO you should persue auto art. Could be a future in it...
  16. Good advice guys thanks! MusPuppis.. I will send you a PM.
  17. Well I am back at it working on the bonnet and originally I started installing 240 TS lights. Now I am not sure I like them. Without the bumber and the angle thay are at it is hard to fill around them and make them look kewl. If I keep them I would go with clear lenses and they are like $150 or so for the set. I like AUX's set up and was wondering if anybody eles had some custom lights instyalled and if so would be kind enough to post a pic.
  18. I have a bunch of small stuff taht probably wouldn't fetch much...headlight buckets..lower valance covers and all kinds of other stuff most of use remove...locks..door handles...should I just chuck them? To bad i can't donate them to a local rehab fo Zaholics...Ebay bums me out cause if it doesn't sell I have to pay...seems like I end up loosing money in the long run....
  19. I just got yelled at by the wife because there seems to be a black mark on the top right hand portion of the shower curtain (white of course) from where I get in the shower after coming home from the garage. She just noticed it...its pretty bad... oh well I guess she'll just go buy a new one...she tried to tell me to wash my hand bfore getting in the shower...I just stared at her and she walked away... Speaking of showers... I was getting out of the shower today and one of my sons told me that my brain was below my penis...I told him "no that's my scrotum...but most women would probly agree with you anyway."
  20. Sweet! Is it me or does it look like the top was chopped 2 inches (scale of course..)
  21. Well at least you found the shavings before you fired it up. Don't you hate the jerk who says "look on the bright side"...
  22. funny I actually have a design for hiding the rear license plate on command...based on one I saw in a JB movie...
  23. To be honest when I first decided I wanted a 1 piece I must have looked at 'porker' a zillion times. However, at that time AZC was not making them. I loved the pics of your car but didn't like the rubber you had running along the top of the unibody. I thought about boxing in the uniframe with metal but my experiments showed me that it would be really tough and look like shite. Thats when i stumbled across the cheek panels. One thing I had to do to to get the subtle fenders to sit down was to cut a triangle out of the high part of each cheeck panel which i plan to recess with glass when the time comes. JW sold me a hinge but told me to take it home and copy it. Then send it back to him for a refund. He is a class act. i actually picked my parts up from his house on the way home from a cross country trip. He offered me and my brother steaks and wanted us to stay the night. His wife was pregnent at the time so we politely declined. Although I could have easily copied his hinge i simply paid him for it and used it. One of the nicest people I have the pleasure to meet.
  24. Man what a color!! Very very nice. What kind of paint is it? BTW what is a ZAP-Z?
