  1. $50.00 sounds great for an LSD. My buddy drives a SUPRA..pretty slick car. Let us know how much work is involved. Good Luck!! Rufus
  2. Z8, No... stock suspension....they just fit though!! Rufus
  3. Glad your OK Nic... It is a F'n shame to hear about your car You are probably lucky it was your passenger side. How far into the cab did the damage come? In other words if you took the same hit on the drivers side would you have gotten hurt worse? Rufus
  4. Look forward to seeing your progress!! I will be at work all day...well I will be pretending to work all day while I cruise the internet drooling over Z's and parts I want. Post some pics later. Rufus
  5. Alignment tech huh? It must be nice to do alignments in Cali!!! I used to do a lot of them here in Buffalo when I was a Ford Tech. I liked doing them except that any car that was over 3 years old, and had never had one was a b!*#% because any adjustment point would be siezed. It amazed me that automakers don't take things like that into account when they mass produce their vehicles. It was common to get a 5 year old 4x4 that pulled to one side @ 4PM on a friday!!!! An alignment like that where everything was locked solid could take 3 hours. You might get paid for 1!!! Flat rate s*cks!!! Rufus I will definately be interested in a pair when you have them available. I think you might be doing well for yourself (and others who want parts like these) by taking the initiative in producing them. Good Work!!
  6. Is this a custom kit or can you buy it?
  7. Question.... If it is a free site why would you need to advertise? Is it something you are considering adding to another site? If so what about a tag along image? By that I mean after you resize an image. When the person goes to "save as" they get the one they have resized with your logo attached, along with a link that says" if you like your new image click here to get one without the text? Then you could either offer them the resize for a small cost? (may be prohibative due to the length of time required to use a credit card) or maybe redirect them to another site where you get credit from another URL for getting them more hits? Just a thought, Rufus
  8. Pretty cool except for the text that gets added automatically. I would not use it for that reason. It is almost as bad as the constant ads that are in the corner of evey TV station anymore. You have skills though my friend!!! Rufus
  9. Mike is that your summer home in the background?!?!
  10. Looks like rear conrtol arms... pretty nice. They would look cool powder coated!!!!
  11. What is a S30z? Did a search on google and found some Japanese sites with pics of a fairlady. Is that it? Rufus
  12. Tim, Did you design your own or copy an existing style? Rufus
  13. I have a BS in Industrial Technology. Luckily the program only required Calc II. Math is not my strong point but I have always been able to do it sufficiently. And yes I see people all the time that have trouble with simple math. I went to the mailroom to get a stamp. The guy working gave me change 3 different times. I had to tell him how much change I was due. He didn't believe me, and had to use the calc. I gave him 1 dollar. Kinda felt bad for him. Rufus
  14. If you make sheets of stickers I have a few different sized dies and a die press. I could cut them out so you would not have to do it by hand. Might look nicer too. What is Sport Mag by the way? Rufus
  15. I have a Borg Warner T-10 with heavy duty springs in the pressure plate. My standard datsun 280 OEM slave works fine. Rufus
  16. Very Nice Pics!! Thank You for the post!! Welcome to Hybrid Z!! Rufus
  17. Thought so.. I used to do a lot of work up there running fiber optics for good ole Worlcom.
  18. Thats wht mine looks like only red....and no leaves..... just dirt!!!! The guy I share my garage with has dumpsters and does garbage pickup, dirt removal etc.... My car is always covered in dirt!!!
  19. Thanks that helps. As I said, I know this car was driven by the original owner in it's stock configuration for quite some time so it is more likely that the bellhousing is a piece sold by the company. Thanks Again!! Rufus
  20. Thanks guys I am definatley going to keep it unless someone wants to trade a LT1 for it!!! I wonder how I can find out if it is a true scarab? They were bought and modified by the scarab racing team? There was some paperwork in it that shows the original owner but he's like 70 now and I can't find him. There are some serial 3's on the drive shaft from a company called California equipment but the phone # did not work. Anybody heard of them? Rufus
  21. Could you have misread the 3 as an 8 on the block? 3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro 3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial 3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4 Hmmmm Good point I will look tonite. What are you referring to with ....4 ...2? 2 or 4 bolt mains? Rufus
  22. Thanks Mike! Looks like I have 305 heads. My casting # for my block do not match up with any on that site. I am thinking it may be an olds block because when i puulled the starter off I noticed it looked like the one I put in my dads olds a couple of years ago. One bolt longer than the other kinda offset. I am not happy.... Rufus
  23. Hey Guys, When I pulled my tranny off I noticed on the back side of the bellhousing it says "SCARAB" I know you guys talk about this name all the time and have found out through the forum that it was a company that raced Z's in the seventies. I know my car came from Cali and was wondering what you guys thought. Thanks, Rufus
  24. OK Guys, I pulled my engine and tranny and was hoping someone could help me ID them. Here It Goes: Block: GM 8970010 Heads: GM 34 B-08 14014416 GM 26 M-12 14014416 Tranny: 13-34 065-904 WG-DIV Q160 9H1-19 Looks like a Borg Warner type trans Thanks for the help, Rufus
