  1. Try some brake clean or starting fluid on the back side of the switch (car off of course) before you start switching...may help remove corrosion. Rufus
  2. Thanks Ross! I guess my question was vague at best sorry. I was trying to ask...Why use 5 lug? Is there a better wheel selection? or is it related to torque force applied to the studs? You answered both questions perfectly without even knowing what I was asking!!! Thanks! I guess now I will start to look around for the wheels that I want and decide frome there. I appreciate your time. Rufus
  3. BARACU, Beautiful car!!! I have my AC lines routed the same way. However, my AC bracket leaves a lot to be desired. Did you fab the one I saw in your album yourself? If so, do you have dimensions, and would you be willing to share them with me? I would appreciate it. Thanks, Rufus
  4. Engine bay looks great to me!!! I know ...I know ...you want it to sparkle like the rest of the car. I am sure that with how good the rest of the car looks,, it is only a matter of time before it does!! Two questions Tim, what is the little puple bottle on the firewall? Also, what is the smaller bottle withg the shroud, on the drivers side, under (inboard) the the master cylinder? Aslo what position is your engine? JTR? It looks far back, kinda like mine. Have Fun!! Rufus
  5. oops!! You will notice the % sign is right above 5... soooo 5 lug or Honda adapter.....
  6. I have done some searching but I am looking for opinions on which is better and why? Thanks, Rufus
  7. Yea I am pretty sure my main problem is simply poorly tuned carb... I plan on trying EFI... I hope it helps. Going really fast only works until you have to slow down!!
  8. Gotcha...yea I have those as well.. I don't think they serve a purpose either...I plan on patching them up.
  9. I am pretty sure those holes have something to do with the original bumpers...mine were gone when I bought the car. I don't think they are any kind of vent or have any areodynamic properties.
  10. % years right Tim? Are you itching or what?!? You are bringing her to the MSA show right?
  11. Maybe he shoud have kept the steering wheel that came with an airbag?!
  12. This may be a dumb question...but what is the 230 out of? Is it a ZX Diff? LSD? Thanks, Rufus

    GM Rear End?

I must say its nice to see a new guy ask a question and no one jumps all over him with "do a search"....Maybe because its the holidays? Anyway...the one benifit from a ZX rear end (turbo) is that it is LSD...and yes they are hard to find...I have been looking for a while now...when they come up they go quick. Good luck and welcome to Hybrid!! Rufus
  14. After I get home from driving my Z my boys (3 years old) say... " You smell like you hotrod dada!! Makes me laugh every time.
  15. c'mon now Rex...That is one of the sweetest cars ever produced!!! IMO of course!!!
  16. Looks great!! How about those flares? Did you fab those as well? Rufus
  17. Rolling the windows down makes it worse waaayyy worse. i have been struggeling with this same problem since I have had my car...I always drove with the windows down thinking it was the best option. Then it got colder and I started driving with the windows up. About 80% better!!! Once I replace my seals and get the AC going I will never roll them down again!!! There is a huge dicussion on this topic HERE. Rufus
  18. I sent the link to my buddy who recently siezed his engine because he thought " the light only comes on when I am almost to work or almost home so I figured it was OK" This was his reply after reading the article and me making fun of him "I do the same thing but after that I put in water and some Comet cleaner to really make my engine shine" Yhe funny thing ids I don't know if he is kidding or not!!!
  19. I hate to say this guys but DO NOT BUY TOOLS FROM HOME DEPOT!!! I test tools as well as all consumer goods. we do a lot of tetsting for Home Depot. In order to get a cheaper price for thier tools they require the manufactures to create tools of a lesser quality than those that you would buy eleswhere. They achive this by using a lower quality motor, cheaper gears with a lower Rockwell Hardness, thinner plastic, anything they can do to make it cheaper. In fact Cambell Hausfield will not be selling thier compressors thruogh HD anymore (in the near future) do to the amount of returns and customer complaints HD, and these "knock off products" has generated. To get around this HD has started buying the manufacturers outright!!! HILTI and RIGID are now owned by HD and as such have brought the quality of these (at one time ) high quality tools into the gutter. HD is a consumers nightmare BEWARE!!! Rufus
  20. Just when you thought you had seen it all....I wonder if he is putting those guys on? Either way hilarious!!!! Thanks AUX!!
  21. Those look great!!! You said coilovers were a prereq...did you already have them or did you just install those as well? Also...How about the rag top on your car? What top are you using? Thanks for your time...your car is very sweet!!! Rufus
