Im looking into buying a 300zx as my daily driver. Its got an automatic and i havnt really been that fond of automatics, i have usually stuck to manuel cars. Is there any real known problems with the automatics in the 300zx's? James B

283 is the crank and i wouldnt use 283 heads. Use somthing a little more modern. James B.

I already have the dished pistons and bearing spacers. I stuck it all together iwth the 400 pistons and i was amazed to see that the piston came to the top of the deck. im glad i dont have to but 377 pistons. James B.

If u used 400 pistons, 400 block, 5.7 rods, 350 crank, where would that put the piston. If im not mistaken that would put the piston right at the top of the deck. And is it the same as 377. Give me a little input, i have some extra parts laying around and i was thinking of putting together a budget 377. James B.

Hey i was wondering if anyone had a copy of the true life im a street racer show that MTV aired about 2 years ago. I just realized that in the middle of the 3rd episode there is a clip of my 73 SBC powered z. I wanted to try and get ahold of it if i could, I figured that kazaa would have it but they dont. I have a 400 small block with 64cc heads and flat tops and i can run on 91 without pinging so i think you shouldnt have no prob. James B. -
