you could try 8.8 diff from late model tbird-lots of gears and lsd selection.

before you buy try the sample software from the makers websites.haltech and speedpro have free downloads.the haltech is dos based but it doesnt take long to get the hang of it.i am thinking of running haltech on my z turbo because i got some free coil-on plug coils and a harness from a 2000 model f150 pick up so i have all the connectors i need to build a nice harness.just got a free laptop too.

that would work out to 1150cc/per turbo-it would need small turbos.were hte turbos on the buggatti staged -a small turbo & big turbo on each bank?you will have to replace pistons in caddy engine to lower compression .it would probably be better with 2 turbos.the turbo supplier will build them custom for your application.

i have a 77z/81zxt-dont bother wiring up stock stuff-it will be a giant waste of time.the sds runs about %30 of the wires oem injection does.

i would be happy to test the brakes at laguna seca on my z -and test them on the way there and going home.should reduce rotor warpage.will probably be oem on expensive cars but i dont think a company like ford would spend the money for this set up even though a windstar could really use these brakes.

found a chart while web surfing for injector size & part#.site is at www.connect.net/compass/technica.htm has bosch & lucas part # flow rates and mounting style.sometimes if you go to a bosch parts house-usually a vw parts store with bosch # you can get a better deal on injectors.

you can get 36lb injectors in mustang magazines for under $300 a set.do some math -maybe these will be big enough.if injectors are big it is hard to get opening time short enough on idle.

maybe in crossover pipe between heads?or egr supply tube?

what kind of welder you got?just got a new thermal arc 180 amp viking model-welds real good but you have to be carefull on thin metal.

get a copy of this monthes gm hightech performance-they do a turbo install.you cant put too much boost to stock engine cause comp ratio is 10to1.

you can get a 90 degree adaptor if that will make the bend less.

dont worry about injector phasing.you need to replant dist.if you pull #1 plug put a remote starter button on starter and put thumb on hole .tap starter till you just start to get compression then use wrench on crank and set pulley to about 10 btdc.when dist is in correctly the rotor will point at #1 cyl-slightly to right of center.the b+ wire and tach wire will be pointing directly at side of car.when car starts set timing to specs or slightly advanced .make sure you disconnect timing wire or what ever you need to do to get computor out of timing-see emission sticker under hood.

it is a t3 .63 a/r housing with NO waste gate.which is kind of a bummer from a quickie bolt on point of view.the price is being negated by more work & more parts.but nobody ever said horse power was cheap.i checked it on spare turbo motor on stand in garage and compressor hit on exhaust manifold cause its bigger.turbonetics has t3 flanges for sale for the people that fab their own parts.i found a 280zxt t3 turbine housing in my shed and looked at waste gate hole .no way that little hole will work.what are the buick gnx guys doing about this? i would rather not fab up external waste gate cause of chance of exhaust leaks.my car must be able to be used for a work car-54 mile commute at 80 mph.

i read the granny's speed shop link.the v is 60 degrees instead of 90 for normal v8 .that is why it is smaller and would fit better in a z.the link said trans pattern is same as old 2.8 chevy v6 except for cutting a notch for starter some of the old camaros ran a t5 behind 2.8 so you could probably get it going on cheap parts .engine was built small so it could be installed sideways in fwd car.the caddy dealer techs next door to ford dealer where i work are always flooring it in the caddies and they sound real healthy.

got turbo from performance express in pheonix ax.phone is 602 216-2800.turbo is 60-1/.63 with out waste gate.most sand rails use external turbonetics type waste gate since they have lots of room to hang things.turbo had tag that said genuine garrett remanufactured.looks brand new.i am going to build a spacer between manifold & turbo for waste gate.i have thought about t3/t4 set up .i think i know how it works.if you send the exhaust through small turbine it spins faster than if you sent exhaust through big turbine.then when boost and exhaust gas volume are high you send it through a big waste gate.so in the end at full throttle 1/2 of exhaust is going through turbine and the rest through waste gate.if you ran a full t4 exhaust side your boost would come on later unless it was connected to a large engine

never heard of different size 02 but a muffler shop can weld a standard 02 bung in and weld up the oem hole if it is not in too tight of a place.all 02 sensors put out same signal.i have a 4 wire ford unit in my 77/81zxt.

most people run a t3 turbine housing with a t4 compressor.i just got a 60-1/.63 t4/t3 new for $370 from a sand rail supply house.havent tried it yet cause it is going to be part of a major upgrade project.

mustang 94 up new body style use rear disc.it is single piston on sliding brackit.made in brazil.same as taurus rear caliper.it would work with custom caliper brackit.i just got rid of my park brake and used 2 piston willwoood calipers to lower unsprung weight.

you might try a late 96-up ford explorer rack.bolts are vertical instead of horizontal.it is 2.75 turns lock to lock.dry a industrial bearing supply house for rod ends.

what length coil over springs?i have 12" springs on my car so a wheel with too much inset will rub on spring.

i usually run driver school/open track events with my z.these are run what you brung track events.last track event was with northern calif shelby club.had a good day outrunning mustangs at thunderhill.

if you want to use this for a work car it will need a t56 to get gas mileage and a new cam and probably carb jetting.i think the guy is fishing for money.i wouldnt offer over 5g because of the amount of work it will take to make it a daily driver.

there are a lot of good late model engines around.the northstar is a good engine-it moves a heavy caddy so it should really move a z.this website is about creativity.please post pictures if you do this.
