    t56 weight?

I remember reading that the T56 weighs around 120#. The WCT5 weighs less, but not sure what.
  3. If you just use bondo it will crack and fall out. You could try laying fiberglass on the back of the hole, then bondo the front if you don't have a welder. But welding is the best way.
  4. Nice Pics! Those sure are huge fender flares! ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  5. Owen, I did use a T5 slave on my T56, I used it because of the bleed screw.I have the Tilton M/C, 7/8ths, I think. I had a 40" -4 braided hose made, and taped the slave for the fittings. I didn't use JuJu's method because I couldn't find the plastic hose at the dealer( I would have to special order it). But I think his set up would work on a T56. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  6. Looks great!!, Don't you hate clear coat, it's a pain to apply! ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  7. No problem Steve!, When are we going to see some pics of your car? ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  8. I have some extra if Andrew doesn't. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  9. Wow, I always buy Fram for my performance engines. Not anymore!! and I think I have a Quaker State filter on my Z engine, that's comming off! Thanks for the info. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  10. Like Drew was saying, If your dings are shallow you might be able to shoot a couple of coats of surface primer, (It's a build up type of primer),then spray a guide coat, (contrasting color to you primer),and block sand with a long board. If you use a black guide coat on a grey primer and you see dark patches, those are low spots. If you see those you need to prime, guide coat, and block sand again until it's flat. I painted my car black, and it took months to get it straight! Be prepared. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  11. Rick, did you already put on the body kit? If not you could modify the stock tank first, and reinstall it before your body kit. I'm using EFI on my 327, and I welded a sump to the stock tank, and also moved it to the center of the rear so I could run dual pipes on either side. I'm also using the stock fuel filler hole. Check "Page 7" on my site. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  12. For a one wire Alt, all you need is 12v from the battery. If this is for an L6 you will need to modify the brackets. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  13. Also is your engine grounded? You need a large gauge cable from a bolt on the engine to the frame. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  14. Lone, Where did you buy the Flowtech, and how much was it? ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  15. I had a problem with this same carb, but my problem was with the idle circuit. It would dump globs of fuel instead of a mist. I baught their tunning kit and changed jets and things, but it didn't help. I ended up buying a Carter. An airgap manifold will cool the charge, so you may have to change your jetting. Check your air/fuel mix with a vacuum first. I think you do have to be under load for vacuum secondaries to work. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  16. I baught my pigtails from PepBoys. They have an aile full of pigtails. The speed sensor was around $9.00, and it was the same plug as a GM Coolant Temperature Sensor. The reverse switch plug I had to put together. They have all the parts needed and it cost about $6.00. I'll look up the part # when I get home. Here are the part#'s The product is called Conduct Tite. Speed Sen. -85100, Reverse -85318 (socket),- 85303 (20-18 guage male wire connetors), -85305 (cable seals) ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html [This message has been edited by Mike kZ (edited April 06, 2001).] [This message has been edited by Mike kZ (edited April 06, 2001).]
  17. I just filled my T56 with Syncromesh and it only took 3 quarts, and started seeping out the fill hole. Maybe once I start the car a run it, it will take another quart. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  18. Ya, that was me, I used a complete Vintage Air System. The Universal Space Saver w/heat, cool and def. I had to slightly modify the cowl area to clear the fan motor. I think Vintage now makes an Evaporator with a horizontal fan motor insted of vertical. As for the reverse lock out, My trany didn't come with it, so I put a heavy spring inside, so I wouldn't accidentally put it in reverse while driving, and plugged the hole where the lock out was. I used one of those rubber plugs with a bolt on the end, you torque down the bolt and the rubber expands. I also used silicone to help seal it. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  19. I've seen a Yugo with a big block and tubbed! ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  20. Also the push rods are of different lenths then stock with the canted valve heads, you need custom ones. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  21. BLKMGK, that's not the skip shift, thats the reverse lock out. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  22. OK, my turn for being ostrisized, I used 1/2 black foam tape (Home Depot), on the metal body, just pass the bezel. Once I squeezed the foam past the hole, which wasn't easy, it was a tight fit. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  23. 1- reverse lock out 2- speed sensor 3- skip shift 4-(passenger side), reverse light ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  24. Nice car! Those slots in the console look like where you'd put the ends of you seat belts in, so they don't fall between the seats. The toggle switch is for you emergency flashers ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
