  1. Here's an independant rear suspension with upper and lower A arms. http://www.ryanemotorsports.com/unvapp.htm ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  2. Found some Dynomat substitute from JC Whitney, but costs a lot less. I used it on my car, and it worked great. It's 32"X 54" sheet, for $24.99. It has a self stick adhesive backing, like Dynomat. I used 2 sheets and have some left over. Part # 12RH5514A ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  3. Also how much gas was in your tank? If you didn't have much, when you launch, the gas goes to the back of the tank, the pick up is at the front. So you may be starving the engine of gas for a short while. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  4. Hey Ross, good choice! To answer your questions. There is only one vacuum hookup to run the PVC and power brakes, it's at the front of the throttle body. I've only run the engine on an engine dyno, there was no starting problems, and I did not move the air temp switch (why do you ask that?)I have a drop base air cleaner with K&N 14X3" filter, and a X-Stream flow air cleaner lid. I haven't made a throttle linkage yet. I'm using aluminum 3/8" fuel, and return lines, with braided lines from/to the tank, and from/to the fuel rails. I think the fuel is 50psi. All the tuning was done on the dyno, which made it very easy! Now all I have to do is start it and go!!! PSS, Lee bought his hood from Jim Cook. I did my own hood mod using an AC Cobra scoop.(I bought it from Carrol Shelby himself in Las Vegas!) Hope this answers you questions for now. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  5. I welded mine inside the car also. It was hard to get a nice bead, but I managed. You can see my cage at the last page of my site. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  6. I added one of those to my tank. My tank was empty for 10 years, so I didn't have a problem welding it on. But if your going to do it to your tank, take it off and have it flushed out first! ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  7. Wow, lots of questions! First of all welcome!! Chevelle rail are huge! Unless you sink them into the floor they will hang down to far. All you need to do is build some frame connectors and rebuild the rear half of the frame for your 9" and wide tire/tub combo. I did this with my 240Z w/12 bolt Chevy. Or you could graft in a S&W race car rear frame and suspension setup. Speeking of S&W they make a roll cage for the Z. 8 point and 10 point. 1-800-523-3353 > since your putting in a 9" go with the 406 and torque. The reson the 8" balancer won't work is with the JTR kit the engine sits low enough that the balancer hits the rack & pinion. There is actually quite abit of room for a starter, I'm using a gear reduction from Jeg's. Ron, who is a member here, drag races a big block Z and can better help you with the drag race end of your qustions. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  8. It could be U-joints, did you check all of them? ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  9. Does anyone need the speedo cable from JTR? I'll sell it for half the price of JTR $30 plus shipping. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  10. I guess the Z car Convention is the largest, but it moves around every year. This past summer it was held at Las Vegas, next year (2001) it will be at Kingston Ont. How are you planning to move to the States? Do you have family here? If not you won't get a green card unless it's a work transfer. If you do have family and they petition you, it will take at least 6 months to go through the red tape! Good Luck! ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html
  11. No, I haven't, has anyone else delt with these guys? You could ask the same question on Zcar.com, maybe someone over there has. ------------------ http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz1.html

Do a search for 9 inch fords, there is lots of info . I've done a 12 bolt chevy swap, go to the search engine and type in "Need for CV joints???" there is a brief discription of what i did.
  22. Is that a fused 12v wire, check your fuses. If not trace the wire back to see if it burnt through.
