  1. Mark, do you have any higher resolution, and/or bigger pics? BlueDestiny, I'll see what I can do, the beach might be a pain in the a$$ to do in graphite JZ33, I'll definitelty consider those.
  2. I really like that pic, an thanks for the fast response. What does it say on the fender?
  3. Hey, would you mind if I drew this picture for an art project?
  4. Hey everybody, I'm taking an Art class and right now we're working on a project where we have to draw something that symbolizes our hobbies. The first thing that popped into my head was Z's. So, I was wondering if anybody had any pics of their Z that they would like drawn? The pics have to be clear and not too complex (Car in the woods, etc.) The project has to keep me busy for a week. So just post up some pics of what you want drawn and I'll try to knock it out. If it comes out okay, I can possibly send it to you
  5. I should be contcting you in the next week or so to get an 11mm rail w/ a gauge.
  6. I've been on the fence about selling my '75 280z. It's a project and is in the process of getting turbo'd. It has Mega Squirt, rebuilt Garrett turbo, and some other cool stuff. It basically just needs to be put together, and wired.
  7. I'm going to be running the L24/P79 combo because it's what I can afford for the build. I still need to buy tires and of misc. stuff for the car. If there's a good chance it will make in the 300's, I'll be happy.
  8. Ok, well the L24 might just be temporary if I get this F54. If anything I will just swap heads and start wiring MS and drive it like that until I get the F54 cleaned up. Once it get's running with the F54 block then the L24 will be a back up just incase I do something stupid, or it blows.
  9. I found a guy that is coming down and picking up a 280z mootor for free and I'm supposed to buy the block from him for $50 so I'm most likely going to do that. I'm in a time crunch right now though because school starts on the 22nd and I need it running before then, and I won't be able to get the block until the 13th. Which leaves me with 9 days to wire megasquirt, run fuel lines, get it running, etc. So I'd like to use my current block and a P79 head just so I can start wiring everything and getting it running so that it's just a matter of swapping out blocks when I get it running.
  10. Here's a breakdown of my setup: P30 block (L24) P79 head (Port & Polished, and cleaned up) Supra 440cc injectors Pallnet Fuel Rail Megasquirt v2.2 FMIC T3/T04 turbo Possibly meth injection Possibly a 60mm throttle body Like I said, I'm doing the GRM $2011 Challenge and so far I've only spent $1035.96. I have room for an aftermarket cam, head bolts, rod bolts, and any other little thing to take that extra step to make 300hp.
  11. Ok, thanks. I'm only looking to make ~300hp, if I make above that I'm happy. So I guess you can consider it a mild build. I'm just worried that I can't reach my bechmark with the L24.
  12. Will do thanks Well from what I read, the exhaust valves are bigger in the P90, and the P90 cam has a longer duration. That's what I read, it could be wrong though. I'm planning on running upwards of 15psi. I'm building the car for the Grassroots Motorsports $2011 Challenge, and I'd like to finish mid-pack
  13. I'm having problems find a decent L28et in my area. So I was planning on taking my L24 block, put a P79 head with L28et cam and intake, and put all of my turbo parts on it. If you see any faults in my plan let me know, and possibly recommend a part to replace it. I just don't want to get it together and realize that a setup like this yields a 11:1 compression or something (That's an exaggeration) Any help is appreciated
  14. Update: Just got a half dash cover for $42
  15. Here's what she looks like now. I'm currently cleaning up the interior and running any wires that need to be run so that I don't have to rip the interior apart again. I'm hoping to get a Sparco seat off of my friend, it's the only seat I've sat in that is wide enough to fit me (I'm 5' 10" ~230lbs) I've gotten my Megasquirt, but I'm trying to figure out what block/head combination I want to run. I really want to get BluDestiny's L28et but my dad is iffy about the fact that it has a blown head gasket. I found a P90a head locally for $125, and a complete L28e out of an '83 280zx. I was thinking of either putting the P90a head on either my L24 block, or put it on top of the L28e, but what do you guys think? Really and truly I'd like to have all 3 options so that I have back-ups. I also have some old pics I posted up, but now they're blown up so you can see them better. Smoked tail light Out with the old sound deadner Before I sold the triples :'( Repainted VC/Turbo kit Getting stripped down Getting ready to pulll the suspension to swap the springs When we moved the shop, I had to throw everything for the Z inside. I still haven't gotten a chance to clean her out Peep the grenade shift knob I have everything but the motor, and Pallnet fuel rail for the swap. I finished up fixing the wiring harness yesterday, now I just have to re-wrap it and install it. My deadline to get it done is August 22nd, because that's when school starts and it's my senior year so I won't have time to work on it.
  16. I think you pay a $20 donation to the site and then you'll be able to post for sale threads until the world ends LOL It started when the forum software changed.
  17. You need to donate to HybridZ to be able to start a for sale thread.
  18. Hi all, I'm selling an engine and I've had a couple people ask me to ship it. Problem is I've never shipped an an engine before. Can someone help me figure the whole process of shipping it? P.S. Sorry for such a n00bie post Shane
  19. Sorry, I have a GTE computer. He was talking about the motor I was going to put in my Z, not the computer.
  20. Oh yea, in that case I have a GE. OP, let me know if you want the ECU.
